After 3 years I ve finally found the perfect fitness tracker with this Polar A370. I owned a fitbit one, that was ok-ish. Then I had a Garmin Vivosfit which was great but was very limited when it came to workouts. I ordered a Fitbit Alte 2 months ago but sent it back because the step count was significantly overestimated. I don t expect the step count to be 100% but when you do 500 steps and the count says 1240...that s not good enough. I then tried the Garmin Vivosmart HR which kept disconnecting all the time. The Bluetooth connection was unreliable and I had to re pair several times a day. Not good either. I bought a Fitbit Flex 2, it was nice, step count ok,but after only 4 weeks the tracker part itself fell out of the wristband...lost :(I use this Polar A370 2 weeks now and am more than happy. There are many reviews online so I stick to what is important to me .The device is very comfortable to wear 24/7, I have not allergic reaction and the tracker itself does not accidentally fall out of the wristband. It is very easy to set up, you re ready to go in just a few minutes. I had a problem setting up smart notifications, but an email to Polar support solved the issue: The Flow app needs an update, they are working on it. In the meantime setting up needs to be done in the app> device. switch notifications to 'on' but DO NOT SYNC YET> switch to your activity log in the app> NOW sync. And voila, your smart notifications are working. The tracker is reliable, very accurate step count. The sleep monitor is first class because it gives you more insight into your sleep(duration, quality, heart rate) than any other tracker does. The Polar Flow app is good and easy to use. When you start a workout you do this on your device and during your workout you can even see real time heart rate. That helps me to make sure I really get my heart rate into the zone I want it to be.GPS is via phone and works very well.I love the big screen and display, I can always-even without glasses- see notifications and time and date, just brilliant. The tracker is waterproof. The only con: at night, when you re moving in your sleep, the display goes on when you move your wrist . And boy, is this a bright screen. The spider on the ceiling is still blinded ;-) My husband complained but I solved this issue by attaching a cut to size bit of self adhesive blackish screen cover, like you can get for the side windows of your car to protect children from sun. This does the trick.Battery life is 2 days with heart rate always on. I charge my tracker every second day during breakfast, so I don t miss out on many steps. It charges VERY fast :-)Absolutely worth the moneyI am a person who uses a tracker to count steps, make sure heart rate goes into the right zone, to check distance and performance during shorter runs, for swimming and sleep monitoring

The Polar A370 does double duty as a fitness band (with Bluetooth) and sports wristwatch/training aid. It is quite comfortable to wear (you are meant to wear it 24-7 like a FitBit etc), and has a bright, colour TFT display. In watch mode, I appreciate the size of the digits - normally I can't see the time on a watch unless I have my glasses on. It has a LED sensor in the back (touching your wrist), which means that it can read your heartbeat all of the time without needing a special strap across your chest, as these kinds of sport devices used to have a few years ago. When you want to train, the watch starts reading your heartbeat regularly (although permanent heartbeat reading is an optional setting also),and will then also connect via Bluetooth to your phone in order to get regular GPS location readings. This is really great for cycling, as your workouts then record time/distance/speed as well as heart-rate, and all this data can be saved for future use.The software to support the A370 is well-worth using. There is a smartphone app (more on this in a moment), and also a companion website where you can upload, analyze and share your workouts, in the same fashion as some of these standalone fitness sites (Endomondo, Strava etc). There is a PC app that you can install that detects the A370 (for example when you plug in to charge it) which will synch any training data to the website if you have created an account there. The Polar Flow app on the smartphone allows you to see a summarized version of the data from your workouts, and conveniently also synchs the data (from the watch via Bluetooth and to the internet via phone data/WiFi) to the website at the end of training. On the web, you can see the track of your run or ride superimposed on a map, and you can minutely analyze your speed/time over the terrain, and see your heart activity for every part of the course. There is also a rather cool 'replay' feature that shows you highlights of the workout (max speed etc) interspersed with streetview pictures as the dot moves along the track on the map. What's wrong with it? The main thing is what's wrong with all these type of devices: battery life. I reckon that with a mixture of normal use as a watch/sleep tracker and some training I have charged it every couple of days. Of course, the more you use the screen and the Bluetooth, the more time it will be off your wrist and attached to a charger. On a more trivial level, I don't like the two little rubber-bands that hold the loose end of the strap; these are hard to get in place one-handed, and I don't imagine that they will last.Overall, I think this is a great little device, and have enjoyed using it very much.

To start with, the A370 looks cool and sophisticated while on the wrist. I have the black one and it has a kind of sci-fi vibe that I like. It's easy to set up and sync with your phone. Involves downloading the Polar flow app from the Play store and it's straight forward via blue tooth. I did read functionality is sometimes lost when updates happen, but since I haven't had to update the app yet, I can't comment. If there are problems I will post additional comments. The app is ok, but so far I haven't found it really helpful other than recording my activity.I took the tracker swimming to test the functionality and water proofing and all worked well.Recorded my heart rate successfully throughout and and the duration and intensity of my swim. I set the timer to 'other indoor' as there is no swimming setting.Today I did some serious digging and set the timer to 'other outdoor'. Again recorded heart rate and time throughout, although I'm not sure it fully appreciated the intensity of all I did!The downsides is the daily fitness measurement is set to 10000 steps if you don't do anything else. It would have been nice to be able to set my own baseline and try to beat that on a daily basis. Maybe I expect too much. However, I'm very impressed and particularly like the encouraging message from the tracker when 100% target is met.I tried sleeping with the tracker on, but it didn't work for me. I like to sleep with my hand under my body and it was too uncomfortable with the tracker on. Pity, because the information it gives might have been interesting and useful.Going to take it cycling soon and see what the GPS function does. Lots still to explore...great bit of kit! Polar Unisex A370 Activity Tracker with Continuous Heart Rate, Black, Medium/Large

I've been using Polar fitness trackers for a while and when I decided to upgrade the Polar Loop, the new A370 was the perfect alternative. The watch in itself is not too bulky so it's not a problem wearing it all day and night and the screen can be read pushing the side button or with a movement of the wrist although it's a little lagging in this case.I do a lot of workout, at least 5-7 times a week but it's always indoor so it's not a problem for me if it doesn't have the integrated GPS. All I needed is to monitor my daily activity and all my gym workout and I found that this is the best fitness tracker for me because it gives me the essential information without getting lost in too many data.Calories burnt, Number of steps, min and max heart rate and sleeping time plus more bits and pieces to complete them. The data recorded are accurate and during my workout I pair the A370 with the H10 to have the most precise results but even without the chest strap the built-in HRM provides reliable information.Through the website I could customise my A370 adding all the sports I usually do and removing the ones I don't need and you can add also interval training. The battery life it's a little too short to me. In general I need to recharge it every two and a half day but again I use it a lot.The settings are pretty basics too, I'd like to have the option of set the brightness of the screen for example but despite this minor cons it's still a great device that I would buy it again without any doubt

I have been using this for nearly two weeks. Starting is relatively easy. Connect first to your computer to 'turn it on'. You then register, and put in your activity levels, either syncing via computer or with your smartphone by bluetooth. Both were really easy and straightforward. I went for sedentary. The watch then set my target at 5000 steps for the day. It measured steps, and, comparing to the step measurer on my iPhone, it seems to be very accurate. The key is to have the watch at the right place on your wrist, just below the last bone of your wrist. There is a facility to record activity, from swimming, cycling, group exercise etc... The indication seems to be that this can be worn while swimming.I did not test that, although it has become wet in heavy rain and coped well with that. The watch records your heart rate, telling you on request, and your sleep pattern. That was a complete revelation. I thought I slept through. Apparently not. I was amazed how often i was disturbed, and didn't remember. A bit of detective work tallied the times to my teenagers holiday late night lives....Week two, and the watch, without consulting me, decided to step up my target to 7500 steps. I have managed to keep up, but I have a feeling next week will be more....So, essentially, I love this. It reminds me if I have been inactive for an hour, and it is changing things. I now get up when prompted, go and make tea, just move a bit. This is actually changing the way I live my life.

So, not really being any kind of fitness freak, receiving this to trial, I gave it to my favoured human - for his efforts to be recorded. That following period of 48hrs was one of the most entertaining I can possibly describe.Firstly, the assessment of this from him is that it is an absolutely awesome watch. Yes. Watch. He paired it with his phone immediately and then put it on.It really was that simple. From there, we drove 4hrs to Glasgow. During which, I was treated to such excitements as "Oh, ring my phone, see if it rings" It does."Oh, text me, see if it shows the text on screen" It does."Oh, I am at resting, I have 78bpm"During a particularly energetic Bohemium Rhapsody jig "Oh,look 100bpm"and my personal favourite, while, ahem, "oooohhhh, 154bpm". (personal best)Need I say more.Apparently, when he exercises, his heart rate goes up. Who would have thought...So, yes, it is an amazing gift for someone who is excited by such things. There are better smart watches out there but this is not a smart watch. It is an activity tracker with smart functions. They are smart. The only complaint I have heard so far (other than that the record was 154bpm) is that the strap makes his wrist sweaty. Maybe a good option to look at alternatives if you are this way inclined.

Bought this model after giving up on a Fitbit Charge 3 which over recorded steps by 30-40% and the heart rate was difficult to track during exercise. The Polar A370 still over records steps (a common problem on wrist trackers) but by less than 10% as long as used on non dominant hand. Heart rate accuracy is however excellent compared against professional equipment at plus/minus 1bpm.I use this as part of my cardiac rehab following a heart attack, to help me stay within specific heart rate zones whilst exercising. There are 5 programmable zones and easy to see graphics on the device whilst in use.Battery life is a bit poor, when using continuous heart monitoring, at 3 to 4 days.I usually top it up each day for 30 minutes rather than let it run right down. The associatied app and Polar online resources are excellent. Linkage to phone GPS means maps of routes are recorded. The rubber type strap is good though the part that holds the excess part after the buckle is awkward to use and feels like it won't last long. Catches the hairs on your wrist too.Overall, feels like a good investment and provides very reassuring measure of heart rate following heart attack.

I bought my A370 from another supplier, but my thoughts are:1. Takes some time to work out all the features, but works well once understood2. Bluetooth connection can sometimes be lost, but is easy to re-set3. Quality is good and feels premium4. App is excellent and more in-depth than other manufacturers5. Battery life I have found (when using features and notifications)...about 3 days6. Heart rate readings are accurate, as Polar devices have always been renowned for this7. Readily available replacement strapsI am happy with my watch, there are niggles as this technology generally has (have owned Fitbit before). Overall though the positives are many, the niggles are few.More watch faces would be nice and perhaps the smart features are not the best on the market, but as a fitness tracker this is excellent. It's also very comfortable to wear and uses a standard mini USB connector to charge (so no random magnetic charging docks).Perhaps Polar may improve this in the next version down the line, but this is a solid product, it looks nice and so far has been very useful in recording my exercise routine...walking, cycling and gym.

I've previously had Fitbit tracker watches, and got fed up of them never syncing to my android phone. I love the heart rate monitor from Polar, so thought I would give their watch ago, and I really like it. The only downside is the battery life is pretty terrible. I have to charge it every other day, if not everyday. But having said that, it is constantly monitoring my heart rate, I use it as an alarm and it does phone notifications, so these could be the reason its battery life isn't the best.A great feature about this watch, is the tracking system for working out. The watch has the different options already on there. So unlike my Fitbit watch,I wouldn't have to input everything myself onto the app.Overall I would recommend this watch to people.

This is an absolutely excellent fitness watch. I would 100% recommend this over getting a fitbit. The app is far better and I find that it is much more accurate in recording my steps and sleep. It does not irritate the skin on my wrist as other fitness watches have. I really like the sleep monitor function and enjoy using it as a gentle alarm in the morning. The charge lasts days, which is far longer than other fitness watches I have tried, which usually need to be charged every day. I like to connect the watch to the app My Fitness Pal, where it can take your exercise into account for your daily calorie allowance. It is an excellent watch and I have definitely seen a difference in my fitness levels since using it.

Bought to use with the DDPYoga app on iPhone, had a few issues to begin with, found that the propriety Polar app interferes with connectivity so removed the app from the device and switched off the Bluetooth and it worked (weirdly). Not the most comfortable heart rate watch at times but then I don’t have anything to compare it to, you do get used to it after a while though.Pretty sturdy, however, there have been a couple of occasions where if an activity you are doing causes the strap around the unit to twist too far then the unit itself can pop loose and potentially fall out.Does the job that I bought it for though which is the main thing.

Polar a370 is a must fitness device for those who want to measure varous daily activities and combine the looks with its functionality. Its lightweight with a nice large screen, HR and GPS tracker, waterproof with sleeping plus capabilities. You can stay in touch with your messages, and never miss a call plus many more notifications. The only downside is the battery that doesn't last long-two to 3 days max. Overall a 4**** device for the full BNIB price but 5***** if you get it for £50 or less.

25.9.2017

In general I love it! The design is great and the fact that it has Les Mills workouts. Battery life is the only downside as it only lasts 2 days. I got used to it though. Design wise, it's one of the best out there, I love the white strap contrasting on the cool screen.I also find the calorie burn and heart rate pretty accurate. All in all, very happy with my purchase.

23.2.2019

Design and style good for women. Acurate activity tracking and almost the same values for heart rate in comparison to Polar M430 for light trainings.Bright, colourful and very responsive display.Easy to operate and good sync with Balance Scale and Android phone.Recovery status in Polar Flow portal and longer battery life (now around 4-5 days) would be nice.

21.8.2017

Absolute must for tracking my new fitness goals. Lots of powerful features when coupled with the Polar Flow web based application. Customizable watch face, good battery life. When using the continuous HR monitoring, battery life decreases, which is expected. The strap is somewhat too fiddly, but you get used to it. This is my first fitness watch.
