Saw this in a well known toy store for £14 and here for £8. (Although the price increased and decreased by the minute on Amazon for some reason!) I'm really pleased I didn't pay full price as I'd be quite disappointed. It's a great concept and my son enjoyed playing with it as he's a huge play doh fan. Even I had some fun with it! We have tonnes of the stuff bought for him but no tools/accessories other than cutters so was quite pleased to find it cheaper. The shapers work well and it does extrude well. Some can be harder for little ones to push but that's not a problem he likes a challenge! But by the time he's just about to push the last lot through the shape strip seemed to pop out. It's as if it needs to be fitted tighter. I've added a photo to hopefully show what I mean. If it was tighter I think it would only come out of one shape too, it's not a major problem just something I wouldn't have expected from a genuine play doh product. It also means you have to end up picking play doh out of nearly every shape even if you only use 2/3 on the strip.

My 3 year old currently loves to play with playdoh. His previous extruder tool I spent less money on and it broke quite quickly. This one, however, is brilliant. It is nice and colourful and very easy for my son to use on his own (pressing the lever down). It is well made and sturdy. With his previous one I had to help him quite a bit.I like that it comes with two playdoh pots, some rails to create the patterns (which store in the side of the extruder) and a little knife. It is not always easy to get all of the doh out of the extruder but a wash under the tap/soak in some warm water sorts that out.I would recommend this product to others.

No reviews yet? This is an awesome product and only mean parents who force their kids to use plasticine (or a PS4) would disagree and most of those would be handing down this vile substance through several generations.I made Play-Doh spaghetti with this recently on a date and shared them with a very close friend I have known since childhood friend who made meatballs from the odd left over mixed colours no one wants. We both agree they still taste just as good although the ketchup may have helped. If you don't buy this for your kids you are bad parents and will have to upgrade all of their games consoles for the next 20 years.

Using household items like plastic cookie cutters, rolling pins, children's scissors, image stamps, we continue to enjoy playing with playdough. This addition took play to another level. Buying just the "factory" was reasonable. Very sturdy and child friendly even for 4 and almost 3 yr olds. Parents will need to take the time to carefully clean the "factory" when play is finished. I've seen instructions on YouTube to take the factory apart for cleaning but I think a toothpick does the trick well enough.

Forget all the other big expensive and dissappointing play doh set of nowadays of the likes of Diana and my little pony, ice cream maker with inflated price, huge gears to store and very little variety to offer. For a fraction of the price, this little factory offers all the classic stuff kids and parents will enjoy the most with play doh : endless lengths of sausages, wriggly wormsm spaghetti, fries ect. I would advise to buy a set of doh cutters and you have it covered.

I had fond memories of this as a child so as soon as my daughter started playing with Play Doh I looked everywhere for the fun factory. Compared to some of the other play doh sets this is quite simple but is probably the most played with sets we use. My daughter likes making 'noodles 'with this set. It comes with two attachments so you push out various shaped play doh. Can be a bit of a nightmare to clean though but a soak in warm soapy water does the trick.

Great fun for play dough lovers. I remember having one of these as a child. You put the dough in, push down the leaver and out come "play dough spaghetti or chips" or whatever you can imagine. It does leave some behind on the toy which can dry up one the toy has been put away so I recommend giving it a good clean out once your child has finished playing with it. But a fun and cheap dough accessories. Much better than the modern packs which are out now.

My 3-year-old loves this and has no problem operating it by himself. He does use it standing up at the coffee table though so gets good leverage. It keeps him occupied for well over an hour which is a long time for him.One small niggle is that the play doh comes out through the adjacent shapes and through the gaps so it's not perfect. It doesn't bother my son at all though and for £6-£7, it's still excellent value for money.

It's the Play-Doh Fun Factory, a toy as classic as they come. I have a degree in Early Childhood Development and Play-Doh is one of the best toys for tactile play, which is super important for young children. Forget all the expensive character-laden Play-Doh sets, all you need is this, a rolling pin and some cookie cutters, and you're good to go. (Though, the Play-Doh hair salon is pretty good as well.)

Bought this for our 3 year old to occupy himself whilst I try and school his sister. It's a nice compact size and comes with 2 pots of play doh. The reason I've put it down a star is because it is quite difficult to push down. Our son needs help and he's quite strong. I wish they still did the one I had as a child- this was a much bigger and sturdier machine but never mind, this is a good substitute.

Bought this as a present for a friend's son. My daughter has the deluxe fun factory which also has the extruder. Hours of fun making the spaghetti and "hair". Does get stuck on the part where the shape maker slides in so requires scrapping the dried playdoh out every so often. Otherwise great toy. When not in use the two shape makers can be slotted in on the side so you don't lose them.

We bought this to replace another playdough squisher that had been bought for my daughter and she loved but was unable to use independently due to the pressure required to push the play dough through. This one is fab and easy for her to use. My only critism is that at is quite hard to get the playdough out of all the nooks at the end of a session.

My children had one of these and they all enjoyed playing with it and so I've purchased one for my grandson. It would be difficult to say which one of us had the most fun today and it brought back so many memories for me.We've made a variety of things today but most of the time we spent making hair for dinosaurs!

My 3yo has a lot of fun with this - it's well made and good value for money. It creates plenty of interesting shapes and thicknesses of dough. I recommend buying a many small tubs of playdoh though and only using a couple at a time, as all the colours get mixed up pretty quickly using this!

This is good and would get 5 stars but the bit you slide in when pressing out the play doh it comes out not just in the bit you want I.e. a star but comes out of the other shapes too which was slightly disappointing, however doesn’t stop my granddaughter from loving it
