I've always been very fussy about pens but can say without reservation that the G-Tec C4 is the best for these reasons:- They have a very fine nib - great if you have quite small writing or need precision.- I like the way they have just the right amount of friction on the page. Most rollerballs I find to be too fluid and take away the sensation of writing.- The ink is jet black and has no sign of washing out over time. It doesn't seep 'through' the page either so the back of the page is still nice and clear.- The ink doesn't spread on the page - so no unsightly blobs if you leave the pen resting on the page for a moment too long.- They last absolutely ages which is always a good thing, and I've never had one leak on me yet!- The barrel is relatively slim in comparison to other pens out there. I like this but that'll be your personal preference.- The top is secure and won't come off accidentally.- If there is any negative (and I'm clutching to find one) is that if you push down too hard (read: very hard) on the nib it can bend. It's only happened once to me though and that was when I lent it to my 3 year old. Mmmm....So, in conclusion, a fantastic pen and a good price on Amazon. You may also be interested to know that I also very highly rate the Mitsubishi Jetstream SX-210. Thicker line and barrel than the C4 but my second favourite pen out there (and I've tried hundreds!).

These Pens are the only pens I use, long lasting, reliable, fine and smooth to write with from beginning to end and they are also comfortable in the paw. The pen can be a bit difficult to get started when you use it for the first time but all is fine after it gets going.Be careful not to accidentally knock the tip which easily bends rather irrevocably and they don't usually straighten out or work after that. Curses ring throughout the Dormouse nest if that happens when there is a lot of life left in the pen.You need a fairly light touch especially if you hold them at less than about 50 degrees to the paper, I find. I try never to lend this pen out if I can help it, unless I know the user doesn't press hard.I have a jar of boring ballpoints for those who tend to write heavily. These pens last ages, but I buy them in bulk as I like a pen in each of the many places I sit in our nest, one in most of my coat pockets and of course at least two in my trusty and voluminous handbag. On extremely rare occasions you can find yourself with a scratchy pen where the ink doesn't flow smoothly from beginning to end, I don't know why, it has only happened about twice in many years.

If you have a tendency to write on the smaller font scale, you'd love these pens. The gel ink is smooth, the nibs are thin and it vastly improves penmanship. The black is a very true black, I've been using these pens for over a decade now and the ink does not fade.If you're heavy handed and rough with your stationery, these may not be for you. I wouldn't go so far to say the nib is delicate, but it is incredibly fine and no element of force is necessary like that with a ballpoint.

I am very attached to gel pens but I do not like the smudging that usually comes with them. This particular pen is extremely fine pointed which results in an ultra fine writing/drawing line width. Which I prefer to thicker width-ed print. As mentioned very fine but this also result in a very quick drying time fo the ink, which is perefect as it dries so quickly that the smudging is practically impossible to occur.Highly recommend to those who prefer very thin width writing.

Great pen, makes my hand writing legible and neat! This is the cheapest and easiest way I have found of buying this pen and I re-order every year now.The main drawback is that if you drop the pen with the lid off and the nib hits the ground, it is so fine it bends and is impossible to bend back. I have lost many of these pens in this way and am extremely cautious when using them now. Also they write so well that people will take them if you leave them lying around.

I was first introduced to these pens about 10 years ago and I have simply refused to have any other since! Great product, fantastic delivery time.If I had to put positive bias to one side, I would say tad pricy and the nibs do have the tendenecy to randomly dry up and writing isn't as smooth thereafter (not sure how else to put this or how to avoid it consistently even after using these for so long) - but I'd forgive these pens almost anything.

Like many other reviewers, I have to say that the Pilot G Tec pens are exceptionally good. I have been using them since my student days and cannot find any fault with them. Easy to use, long lasting, produces fine lines and does not smudge. They also come in a variety of colours which is useful for note taking. I use them for all writing activities and cannot recommend them highly enough. Also good value if you buy the 12 pack.

I love these pens. I am an illustrator and use them for EVERYTHING.....drawing, writing (and Sudoko puzzles in the newspaper). Each pen lasts a long time though I buy them by the dozen because I use them so much. Last time I bought them from another site because they were slightly cheaper but they never arrived and eventually Amazon cancelled my order so I returned to the above site as can be sure of prompt delivery.

I have appalling handwriting, getting worse I suppose as the requirement for typed work has gone up over the years. I've since made a distinct effort to put my creative writing on paper instead (yes, I'm one of those people) - and my god is the narrow nib good for much clearer joined up lettering. Ink is not too smudgy on most papers really. Best pen I've ever bought and it didn't cost an arm and a leg.

These are my favorite 'fine liner' pensThey write so smoothly and are very precise too. I first bought one single in paper-chase but this bundle is such a bargain! I keep a box in my desk drawer at all times and they're all I use now within my design studies. I go through them pretty quickly because I write pages and pages per day, but they do last a long time. I just write a lot!! :)

I am part of a small but growing group of pen enthusiasts who consider this pen to be THE GREATEST currently available on the market. I write like a maniac, spidery and ridiculous, and this is the only utensil where the width and flow rate guarantee legibility. I also draw with them. They function smoothly over a lifetime with no leaks or cloggings. They are the only pen I will use.

I have used these for work for many years as they are perfect for writing out calculations. The ink doesn't bleed into the paper at all so it is easy to write out your figures perfectly legibly regardless of how limited the space is on your journal/form/spreadsheet print etc etc. The only problem I have with them is that people tend to nick them once they realise how good they are.

These black pens make great writing and drawing pens. Great flow for freehand work.My friends and professionals love them when they use mine.Other pens are just too fat or too inky for me.When I want to add some 'umph' to a drawing, then I go over pats with a thicker pen, but mostly I don't need that.I've tried the sepia and it was good, but the blue wasn't as hot.

This pen writes like a Rotring technical drawing pen, but without its problems and maintenance. You can fold an A4 paper in half and write small to fill the page, then if anyone wants a "normal size" copy, you can photostat it A4 size OK, with no loss of quality. My daughter has small tick-boxes on the forms she signs as part of her job, these "fit-the-job perfectly.

I really like these pens and use them for a lot of my art work. I do a lot of cross hatching and stippling in ink and they perform very well for this. The ink seems to retain it's blackness over time too. They are affordable, good quality, nice to use. I wish Pilot would make an even finer version than 0.4. So all in all I recommend them to any artists out there.
