I had ordered this lamp and the Black Diamond Storm for comparison and ended up not keeping any. Instead, I will order the Petzl with a battery. The Petzl lights up nicely without having to move your head large, but you have to put it in power mode when the going gets tough. And the batteries don't last long enough for that. I don't want to carry several sets of batteries with me on a trek. As I said, the illumination and comfort are nice. It is not as heavy and bulky as the Black Diamond. I wanted a performance upgrade to my old Petzl Tikka XP2 and the Actik is definitely an upgrade in all respects. The Actik gives superior lighting performance in the same size package. The light beam pattern is biased towards flood than distance. On standard power setting, in my opinion you still get around 10m of bright usuable illumination. Full power is very bright for such a small torch. I originally bought the Actik without the Petzl Core battery but soon bought one. The torch is brighter and runs for much longer using the Core battery rather than AAA batteries

I have not tested it outdoors yet but at first glance it seems that it will give good results with all three bulbs, for the number of lumens (350) it should focus at a great distance in the dark. Petzl is guaranteed, that's for sure. As for trekking, everything is very good, very fast shipping and tracking and perfect packaging. Very happy.

I own the predecessor to this model which is still going strong, I only bought another so I could have one for work and one for home. They are great headlamps – light and comfortable to wear, and very bright. I would not hesitate to recommend it. Excellent price and service from Trekinn.

The lamp is very well thought out, you can switch between three brightness modes. If you have set the weakest level and wait a moment, the lamp will go out. We also have the matching bag / box, so the lamp is also a lantern ...

Clear and powerful light, even for MTB night outings. Shit mine not to take the "core" model for the battery, although it is not bad to have the option of using batteries.

Seriously fab headtorch. Easy to use, easy to wear, with three brightness levels - the max being really, really bright with useful ability to adjust the angle.

At first I didn't know if the 350lm would be enough, but after all, the light is really strong and illuminates well. It arrives perfectly! I recommend.

It worked quite well, the batteries have lasted correctly. I have used it in high mountains and with foggy weather, it helps a lot.
