I've been using this regularly in winters for at least 3 years now and have owned 3 other Petzl headtorches.Good:There's plenty of warning before the batteries die.Batteries last a long time.It's comfortable and fits securely.The flood lighting is very good.Light remains constant brightness despite the batteries draining downEmergency mode (if you let the batteries run down too much) will get you home on a very low light for several hours.Not so good:Headband colour is a poor choice as it can show dirt too easily and is hard to clean.Moving the defuser or finding the high beam button with gloves on can be a challenge.Using it without the defuser makes my eyes feel very uncomfortable,

I was looking for a head torch to wear when hiking, and when cycling.I like the fact this takes AA batteries, as I can always replace these with new ones, which is better than rechargeable built in batteries which then need charging.The torch is comfortable, and has a battery pack at the back of your head and torch at the front.The light is bright with three varying levels of brightness and one that flashes.It gives a broad beam of light and has a diffuser which folds down offering a narrower beam of light.It is plenty bright enough for me.So, it is easy to operate, comfortable and very bright.Everything I was looking for.

This is a really great headlamp with the option of different light settings. It is fairly lightweight, easy to use and comfortable to wear. My only gripe is that in the product description it said it had a red light option which it didn't have when it came. Amazon said to send it back and they would replace it but it would take about 2 weeks, past the date I needed it for. However, it turned out that what I needed it for I didn't really need the red light option so didn't return it for a replacement with a red light. Am happy with the product.

This is my second purchase of this headlamp, top quality unit with great light output, adjustable so it can reduce battery drain. Very comfortable to wear. A diffuser in front of the lens scatters the light to nearly 180 degrees allowing multiple people to make use of the light, excellent when assisting getting people off hills at night.

Got one for my wife who uses it to jog in woods when the light is fading. She thinks it's great, though she found the on/off switch a bit fiddly to begin with. It is a bit heavier than some with its three AA batteries in their separate little box, but she finds that no problem. It certainly is very bright.

I use this head torch day to day for work purposes.Comfortable to wear and a decent level of illumination.I had a rechargeable one before hand but the draw back was that when it went flat the charge time was 4 hrs.Now I simply keep three spare AA batteries in the case ( not supplied )

Used this to help summit Mt Meru, and Mt Kilimanjaro over Christmas. Having the different brightness settings was so helpful- dim for eating dinner and around camp.- Brighter for the long slow plod to the top! One set of lithium batteries lasted the whole trip.

Three years ago and would never be without themUsed mainly at home, soldering, working on the car, in the garden at night and camping.Three years of long hard use and they are still A1, used with eneloop batteries I use for my camera gear.

Have used Petzl MYOs for work and camping applications. Wouldn’t use anything else. My job had me using it in situations where reliability was a massive safety concern and they never let me down despite years of abuse...

I love this headlamp for the price. 2 levels of brightness work very well. Could maybe use the redlight, but otherwise works great and is brighter than I expected.

Used this for my latest ultra. Very comfy. Only had it on for 3hrs but it was good and bright.
