I have fallen in love with these pens (if falling in love is not too strong a term! but I feel these pens deserve such praise) ever since I was a teenager. For some reason I always thought that these were Staedtler pens rather than Pentel pens and for once, just a few moments ago, I bothered looking at the brand of the ones I've just ran out of ink and realised my mistake (as I had always just bought them in shops knowing by the look of their pen barrels without properly checking out the brandname) and am glad to be able to replace them here on Amazon.The main reason these pens are just perfect for writing is not only the very fine, unbroken and even lines produced by these pens as mentioned by the first reviewer,and also the fact that the ink flows smoothly as mentioned by the second reviewer, but for me, the key advantage these pens have over many others is the relatively longer length of the ballpoint and the strength of this as pen is being put to paper. The strength of the "nib" or more correctly lengthened ball-point means that there is a pleasant "give" as one writes with this pen, as there is a perfect balance between the pressure exerted on the pen barrel (which is itself well-constructed with the perfect grip) and the refined pressure exerted on the ball-point which means that writing with this pen is never tiring - in fact writing with this pen to me is like dancing across a page with a most wonderful partner, given that I never have to exert any undue pressure to get the ink flowing, and thus allowing me to easily glide across the surface of the paper as I write, as one would across a dance-floor and executing sharp strokes with a finesse that other far inferior pens simply can't match. I tend to write a lot more with this pen in my hand, my thoughts flowing easily, aided by the free-flowing feel of this wonderful implement. If one puts the crappy BIC ball-point "pen" on one end of the writing experience spectrum (it never failed to amaze me how BIC claims to have invented the ball-point given how crappy all their pens are where one has to exert gargantuan effort just to get a broken, misshapen line), then this Pentel pen is its very antithesis!To me this pen is a design classic, and I'm sorry that I have always misattributed its genius to Staedtler rather than Pentel until now. Anyway, I am now stocking up on these as a recompense!

I've used Pentel Superbs for15 years now and STILL think they are the best pens around - consistently good even flow, easy to hold, beautiful fine writing line and great in every colour. My heart hurts when I lose one. I have told many people about them and shall continue to do so. Recommended very hightly. Excellent product, especially for taking notes, journaling, etc. as one colour - eg. black - makes work look very neat and tidy. Great!

Brilliant shipping speed. Lovely pens, good ink thickness (as in width) and blackness. I do feel as though they fade slightly over time but thats fine considering the alternative is a standard bic biro which I feel is a bit too thick and unreliable when it fades. A brill cheaper alternative to (but not necessarily as black as) my favourite MUJI pens. Thank you!

These pens have been my primary work pen for many years. I didn't think to look on Amazon for them after I was running out and couldn't find them anymore in my usual outlets . They are good. No spotting. Clean lines. Really long lasting. Smooth.I only have a few products of any kind I would recommend to anyone. I recommend these personally.

I 'borrowed' one of these pens from a work colleague and loved it so much I never returned it. It has a fine nib and writes super smoothly. Each pen lasts a long time. I am yet to find a shop that sells them so rely on Amazon! The pens came well packaged and on time. Would highly recommend to anyone who likes thin nibbed pens!

If you have small writing or write your letters or words close together, the accuracy of this pen and its continuous fine line is perfect to improve readability. Given that exams are now scanned and sent for marking the density of this ink is also perfect. My sons use them exclusively for Uni and School work.

I like these pens very much for jotting and making quick notes. The ink is never gloopy and the nib is really fine, which makes my hand-writing look neat even if I am writing quickly. My only criticism is that the pen itself is quite thin, which can make it feel a bit uncomfortable to hold.

Love them..I just wish the clip was a bit longer as they sometimes fall out of my pen pocket - I'm an ambulance tech and i'm not usually stood or sat in the the way the average person sits or stands! Still love them though - my report writing is neater than ever :)

I scribble most of the time but I found that writing with this ballpoint my words are legible.I love the feel of them in the hand, super quality and make me write nicer….. so pleased I found them.

Seems odd to write a review about something as simple and prosaic as a biro but as an everyday writing tool this surely cannot be beaten. A lovely fine line with no accumulation of unwanted ink.

I LOVE these Pens!!! They write beautifully, and certainly improve my handwriting and look really stylish as well. In the past I have purchased a lot of fine nibbed pens, and these are the best.

These are great pens. They are so smooth and glide across the page - they don't drag, so you can keep up with yourself if you are a fast writer. Great for getting thoughts down in a hurry.

I've been buying these pens for years, for a particular purpose, where I need to write very small but neatly, and these do the job very well.I hope Pentel don't stop selling this pen.

I LOVE these pens. Have bought them countless times for self or gifts. They write well without ever blobbing or running out prematurely. Can't recommend them enough. :)

Excellent pens, really smooth to write with and a favourite with me for years. I would highly recommend these, for the small extra cost to the more common branded pens.
