Purchased as a memory upgrade to an old netbook. (Yes, people are still using those!) This replaced a 1GB single memory card in a Samsung netbook and is working well.For netbook upgraders (techie bit): The limitation of the chipsets in most netbooks (certainly Samsung ones) is 667MHz with 2GB capacity, so no point going for a 4GB chip or one with a higher clock speed than 667MHz. I know from experience that without installing a custom BIOS there is no way to edit RAM timings and although the limitation to 2GB seems foolish I'm not confident that putting a 4GB chip in would get the system past POST. The netbook will however negotiate the RAM speed down to 667MHz if you use 800MHz chips,

Our 2008 iMac was struggling with just the 2Gb it came with. Officially, it can handle up to 6Gb, in a 4+2 configuration. Unofficially, I believe it can handle 8 Gb via 4+4. I didn't want to blow it up, so I rather conservatively removed the existing RAM sticks and replaced them with one of these and a Patriot PSD24G8002S 4GB DDR2 (1x 4GB) Single Channel Signature Memory Kit (800MHz, 6.0, Non-ECC Unbuffered)The whole process took two minutes: turn the machine off, open a little flap on the underside at the front, pull out the existing RAM, insert the new ones, close the flap, re-start the machine. Hey presto, the iMac now has the maximum 6 Gb, and runs El Capitan easily.A twin core,

Wanted a RAM upgrade for my 10 year old gaming rig, afrer searching around, found these, much cheaper than a lot of the used memory, that was coming up, its a good brand which i remember, easily installed, no compatibity issues, posted no problems, ran windows for an hour or 2 to test, no instabiliy issues, would recommend for anyone whos looking to get abit more out of their older pc, with out spending alot, works great with my M2N-SLI DELUXE mobo, chexk your motherboard Manufacturers website for specs first.

I bought two of these for a friend's laptop which only had 2gb ram. It has good memory latency timings and the laptop is like a new machine now. It's cheaper to get two of these than to buy a 4gb kit and most laptops who use ddr2 have a chipset that will only let you use 3gb so a great choice for an upgrade if you'd rather spend 20£ than get a new machine.

Well, that's what the packaging says and I can't disagree with that.HP mini notebook running XP now seems less clunky. Simple to fit behind cover to base of machine - do make sure you don't touch and hold edges only when fitting!A top spec RAM from a US company for less than £20 direct from Amazon did the job nicely.

I bought this to upgrade my wifes really slow old HP laptop, plugged it in and turned on the laptop, and it was instantly recognised and gave the old HP a new lease of life! Its like viagra for laptops!! Cant fault it, so if you want a cheap upgrade to boost your old or existing memory, then this will do it.

This is an easy update for the Compaq Mini and makes it a shiny and snappy netbook. Its easy to install (there is a video on Youtube to help and shows you how - search Youtube for"compaq mini memory upgrade"). It makes the computer quicker and runs videos smoother wih better sound synchronisation.

I have used patriot usb sticks before as in the XT range. They have always been one of the leading brands in producing high speed memory. it only made sense to try there ram knowing that its a reputable brand. i noticed a good amount of difference with this module and can recommend this product.

Considering how hard this stuff is to get, i was dubious about how good it would be in my overclocked pc. Didnt really have a choice so i went for it, no complaints whatsoever.

The memory arrived within a few days and did what it said on the tin. My netbook which only had 1gb of memory now has 2gb and is working a lot better

I wish I had bought this memory for my netbook years ago, as it has made such a great difference to the performance. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Updated an old netbook to run Windows 7 home premium which it manages albeit a bit slowly but good backup laptop. Good price and works well.
