Product delivered slightly later than advertised, but this did not matter to me. I had to pull out the removable disc drive unit on my HP PC to get at the RAM memory slots (4), but this was easy enough. I removed the current two 512Mb cards and replaced them with these 1Mb cards (on my machine these cannot be run as well as 1Mb cards). Just need to make sure that the new card is pushed into the card carrier on the mother board so that the edge clips lock into place correctly. After installation and putting things back into place I checked that these new cards were being "seen" in the "Boot" registry, which they were. Only problem I had was that the PC came back with an error when I tried to start up Windows 7,and that was that it could not find one of the .dll files - this file is in fact specific to your machine and holds the current configuration, so if the configuration is altered it naturally does not match the file that is stored. I then booted up using my Windows 7 master disc and used the "repair" routine on this to repair the problem. After correctly booting up from the hard drive, all was well. I now see a more stable system, and certainly my Internet browsing is much faster since I doubled the RAM memory. I now intend to add another 2Gb so that my PC is fully loaded with RAM.

I have no computer or electronic background and i still found it exceptionally easy to install these high quality Memory Modules from one of the best manufacturers Corsair.I purchased two 1GB modules to increase my memory from 2GB right up to the dizzy heights of 4GB,and thankfully my Motherboard already had two empty slots awaiting further memory and would allow 4GB.I did consider having a specialist installing my memory for me as i really was not sure whether i could install it myself but after seeing an article about Windows Vista and how to install new memory i decided to give it a go.Within five minutes the job was done and the computer recognised the new memory from the first time i powered up the computer. My computer was only two weeks old, brand new from Mesh and 2GB felt fairly fast but simply doubling my memory from 2 to 4Gb transformed the speed from quick to unbelieavbly quick. This was the easiest performance transformation i have ever undertaken and Corsairs top quality memory has made an amazing difference. If you are considering installing more memory Corsair should be high on your list, but do ensure the memory is compatible with your current system. If it is then installing it is simplicity in itself.

I've used Corsair XMS Platinum for about 5 years in my overclocked but reliable legacy computer, so I had no hesitation in picking Corsair memory when I needed more memory to run Windows 7 with ZoneAlarm Internet Suite and ForceField. As the computer is mostly for e-mail and web browsing, CL2 would be overkill and CL3 is fine.Window 7 can show up memory controller weaknesses. XP Pro ran happily with the two Corsair 1 GB modules and a 500 MB Corsair XMS module in an ASUS A7N8X Deluxe motherboard; the bios was reset to the slower memory settings. However, it crashed to a hard stop error when trying to run or re-install Windows 7. Removing the XMS memory, running the CL3 memory as dual channel at 2.7 volts - recommended by the Corsair web site for the A7N8X motherboard - enabled Windows 7 to run nicely.Be aware that Windows 7 32 bit is unlikely to recognise memory over 2GB, so this 2 x 1GB kit is likely to be all that you need, unless you're running 64 bit when Windows 7 should be able to recognise 4GB or more memory (my new Windows 7 64 bit system has 16GB of DDR3 memory). If you have a legacy machine that takes 184 pin DDR, this kit could be just what you need if you are changing to Windows 7.

My computer had become progressively slower and eventually I needed to reboot every time I used a different programme or used the browser.Local repair shop said it would be an expensive job and quoted £80 without seeing it.Being a technophobe, I was nervous at first to take matters into my own hands, but was certain that the low virtual memory played a big part in my pc's erratic behaviour. I therefore checked various suppliers for the appropriate RAM and found that Amazon supplied Corsair Ram at a very competitive price. When it arrived, I removed the casing and took out the old RAM, with some trepidation, and inserted the 2 x 1GB RAM from Amazon. Instant rebirth of my computer !It is now like new again and reacts immediately to all commands. The items arrived within a very short time and the service was excellent.

I bought 2 of these - 2x(2x1GB)- so I can have a 4 GB fully upgraded computer.Im very happy with the product. They coming in retail packaging, so you will know that they are not used. When I turn on the computer, in the bios setting all the 4 memory was visible, they have same memory timing and cas latency without any conflict. They get a bit warmer than the old rams, but I have a good case cooling so this is not affecting the performance.Im using 32 bit Windows XP. The OS can use the max limit of Physical Memory. Compared with the old 1 GB memory my computer is much faster now. Specially when I use mozilla firefox, the performance is greater, the screen is not freezes.I would recommend this to anyone who wants to upgrade a computer.

Ordered from Kikatec on Monday morning and arrived Thursday morning.Im not a big fan of Corsair due to the fact their products are over priced because of the name but saw this memory and at the price it was too good to pass up.Very well made solid sticks, took old ram out,put these two sticks in and bingo,up and running again in less than two minutes.Must say ive gone from 4 x 512MB Kingston to these and although its still the same 2GB total memory my system is noticably faster.I've now freed up two memory slots so can now get another two sticks of this maxing my board out to 4GB.All said and done, for £35,this is a must purchase for anyone whos motherboard supports PC3200/DDR400 memory

I've bought this product twice now.In February I upgraded my main machine, and it went perfectly, with no need to fiddle inside BIOS. At last no more swapping to disk.In May, on a whim, flushed with success, I upgraded my other machine, which is almost identical to the first one. Nothing seemed to go right, the machine would freeze and once reset itself. I ran memtest86 for over six hours until it failed. So I asked for a refund and got a prompt polite RMA letter. I sent the faulty product back, and got an acknowledgement of the refund. The supplier was Kikatek, and I applaud them and Amazon for their customer service.

Bought this memory as a cheap way to extend the lifetime of my parent's aging PC. They somehow survived for 4 years with 512 MB RAM running Win XP without going crazy (although having put up with me all these years I suppose the depths of their patience shouldn't surprise me!). Now XP startup is done in the time it takes to make a coffee instead of an entire evening meal and having multiple program windows open no longer reduces the PC to the speed of a wonky abacus. The corsair memory itself is great value and quality. The memory sticks don't have cooling jackets, but I doubt my folks are going to burn these up.

My PC is running much better now that I have fitted the extra memory. I have also upgraded to Windows 7, which I like, which is something I was told I wouldn't be able to do with my PC. Acer Aspire T180-197Z.I ordered this item plus another from Amazon, but somewhere along the postal route it went missing. I contacted Amazon who asked me to wait for a further week, still nothing arrived and they then immediately sent out replacements which I received within a couple of days.Hats off to Amazon for their understanding and replacements.Oh by the way, this item is great !!!!

As you can imagine, DDR memory is getting a little thin on the ground now that motherboards and processors are changing, so keeping a machine like mine going, especially when considering operating system upgrading and so forth, is getting harder. I bought a pair of these modules and slapped them into my machine and certainly proved the old theory about pushing more memory into a system makes a difference. Although the original reason for buying these was to allow a change to Windows 7, the overall performance hike with Windows XP would have made this worth the effort!

Excellent product and great value for money. Especially as the memory comes with a lifetime warranty. Details of the product that I wanted to know (and any customer would want to know) were fully described on the website. The dispatch time, packaging and delivery was good. The only strange thing I found was that the 2 same memory cards (both in stock) were delivered separately. They could have easily been placed in one envelope! The memory cards were easy to install myself. Highly recommended.

As with any increase in RAM this has brought a brief extension of life to my parent's dated Packard Bell computer that was struggling on 512MB of shared RAM (didn't know Packard Bell still existed until they bought it a few years back - cheap!). 2 of these worked nicely at giving it that needed boost while they avoid forking out for a new, decent PC.Definitely worth buying if you can't afford a new PC (yet) and your existing machine is running a little slow due to low memory.

Upgrading a Dell T3400 from 4Gb 667Mhz Ram on Vista Business 32bit to Win 7 Enterprise 64bit and 8Gb 800Mhz Ram.Two of these packs offered me the most affordable, recognised name, upgrade route.Once installed they took the Windows Experience index from 5.9 to 6.4 which nicely matched the 3Ghz Processor and with 8Gb Ram there's no slowdown with multiple design applications open at once.Good packaging, simple to install, would highly recommend Corsair Value Range.
