Similar to another review that I read on here, the delivery said it would be 2-4 weeks but it actually arrived in 2 business days. Brilliant start! Then installing this on my iMac was super simple with just a pop out latch on the bottom of the computer. I had 2x1G of RAM and this doubled it to 2x2G of RAM which was just what I needed to get another good year or two out of my computer. It has started to run a bit clunky in the last 6 months months (and it is now a 5-year old computer so that's really good). But the RAM boost for just £22, has smoothed it out noticeable although obviously not making my computer uber fast. This was just what I needed though to get at least another year out of my 5-year old computer before upgrading to the latest model.

I had been looking for the best memory upgrade for my first generation macbook pro (2006) and was unsure what to go for, I choose this because it seemed the best fit for the type of memory apple recommend in the manual (these can be downloading from Apple's support page on their website). The manual also includes instructions on how to install (very useful). The computer had 1 x 1gb memory installed but I decided to get two so I new they were both up to date and the same brand. Once installed was instantly recognised by the system profiler as having 2gb installed. Would recommend them to anyone upgrading, it has brought new life to a old and well loved computer.

I bought this in order to upgrade an old (intel) imac to 2 gig (2x1gig SODIMMs) for a family member. The RAM has worked perfectly, and came at a great price, but 2 x 2gig (for a total of 4 gigs of ram) would have probably served her better in the long run; RAM is often the best upgrade to make to a PC, and if you can possibly afford it, more is better - modern operating systems love their ram.That said, these concerns aren't remotely the RAMs fault. It installed and worked perfectly, was delivered promptly, and it's been in place for a year or so with no problems. Highly recommended - Just consider whether a bigger stick of RAM would serve you better!

I had bought this RAM to help speed up my sisters laptop computer. I expected it to be maybe a little fast (because I did not think that a chip with this low frequency and capacity would be blisteringly fast!), but I was proved wrong... along with the 512 mb chip on the machine, this baby worked like a charm (and there wasn't a lot of difference in performance with only the 1GB stick used in the machine). It also did not take long to install. It arrived in less than a week after i ordered it and I'm very happy. Would definitely recommend this to anyone with a slightly older machine (or anyone who would like to have a slight memory upgrade).

This is fantastically valued RAM that has transformed my old pc in terms of it's task managing speed. It arrived really quickly and there is the added reassurance of buying a genuine branded item from a well known RAM manufacturer like Kingston Tech. Installation is simple but be careful of the dangers of static electricity to the motherboard and RAM in doing so, ie be sure to regularly ground yourself by touching the side of the pc case or via a dedicated anti static wrist band or work surface pads.It may be budget in price but don't let that fool you as it is a first class and cheap way of upgrading your aging pc.

Inserted 1GB 667MHz DDR2 and a Toshiba Toshiba MK5055GSX 500GB 2.5-Inch HDD into my Acer Aspire One. Web pages don't seem to hang as long and the stock battery lasts 20 minutes longer.I have a 6600 mAh spare battery and it now lasts 7 hours playing a video and 9 hours on wifi when its throttled back to 800 Mhz. The temperature of the hard drive hovers between 38-42 degrees.The only downside is that the HDD appears a bit noisier, (I cannot be completely sure) although the fan doesn't kick in so much as the processor seems to run a bit cooler - maybe this is due to the extra RAM?

after searching for the type of RAM that i needed for my laptop on crucial i noticed this kingston RAM for a good bit cheaper.i own a bog standard macbook, i bought it in january 07 with 512 mb of RAM, sure it was rubbish but i didnt fancy forking out an extra £200 for the 1 gb model.so when i seen that all of these reviews were from people who owned a macbook, i thought why not? now i can run multiple programs without any bother and programs like pro tools and photoshop work effortlessly.go buy

Like most reviewers below, I bought this to give my iMac a bit of a boost. I only use my iMac for general usage (web surfing, films, office). 1GB is a pitiful amount of RAM these days; 2GB is adequate. At any rate, when purchasing additional memory, just make sure you select the correct speed.Bottom line is that doubling my RAM to 2GB for about a tenner was the cheapest performance boost available, and this product fulfills that role just fine.

Well made RAM, Easy to install into laptop and the price is great (Let's hope prices stay low). My laptop came with 1 gig but this RAM was shared with the on-board nvidia graphics, so upgrading to 2 gig solved this problem and now the 50 million simultaneous processes of Vista generally run a lot quicker. Ideally, I wouldn't be running Vista at all, but I must admit - it's got better with SP2. Needed this extra RAM though, and it's good.

Before I purchased this item my computer always took ages to do anything, it sometimes took half an hour to get onto my emails, I was thinking I needed to get a new computer, but since adding this extra 1GB the computer is now so fast to do everthing. Its amazing. My son in law put the part into the computer, which only took about 10 minutes. Well worth the money. Delivery was only 2 days from ordering - very pleased. Would recommend.

I bought a pair of these SODIMMs through Amazon. At first the payment confirmation said 1 to 3 weeks for delivery so I was pretty miffed. It actually turned up after 2 days!The new memory fired up on my Sony VGN-N21 laptop without any trouble and has substantially improved the sluggish performance I was experiencing, particularly when I was running any Java VM software (Firefox, Open Office) on top of Vista, as well as Norton 360.

me and my brother ordered two to upgrade our MSI WIND U100s notebook from 1G of ram to 2G, made a real difference and the performance is now amazing as ever, amazing bit of kit for just 15 quid you can turn a small cheap notebook into something out of the question with it now being faster than my desktop! came in a huge box for something so small but over than that its a must have for any notebook or netbook!

I wanted to increase the memory of my Advent 4211 netbook, and this does the job nicely. The installed Windows XP Home runs smoothly, although I mostly use Ubuntu Netbook Remix, also installed in a duel boot arrangement.If you haven't put memory in a netbook before, there are tutorials online.Edit: I ordered another of these for a different laptop. Arrived quickly, no problems whatsoever (as before).

The GOOD:- can buy 2 identical memory to have a match pair and work at 100%- compatible with my laptop Aspire 1650- 2gb made a good improvement (originaly i have 1gb)- easy to install- kingston is a good memory manufactor- the very good price (100E in Portugal for 2 of this)- very quick delivery with AmazonThe BAD:- maybe, the Corsair memorys are better than theseI recommend this memorys.

bought this for my friends laptop which really was a pile of dust, it was only running one slot of 1gb 667 so i thought adding another slot wouldnt hurt, and it didnt, everything suddenly freed up and he was happy with the result.comes in a plastic case and in a bubble wrap envelope, all of which was still 100% sealed when i got it through.does what i needed it to do so im completely happy
