What a beautiful pen! The very attractive gift box, gold-printed with the Parker logo, is covered in a sophisticated grey linen and has a magnetic catch. The neat size of the box and its easy open/easy close fastening makes it a joy to give or to receive. It is practical to use the gift box as storage if the pen is to be kept as a desk pen. The opening of the box to remove the pen gives a special moment that makes the act of handwriting a pleasure. Inside the box, apart from of course the pen itself, is one, fine (0.5mm), black roller ball cartridge and multi-language instruction booklet. This is a Matte Black pen with bright "Palladium" accents,(Note:Palladium does not tarnish)...The Pen has a substantive weight and feel that says this is a pen that will stand up to time, a pen of value and class. No one will mistake this as a cheap giveaway or marketing piece. You will avoid loaning this one out and look for it when misplaced. I am a bit of a pen aficionado, and own Waterman's and Mont Blanc's alike, this pen doesn't take second place to either. Though an additional plus when replacing refills, a pair of Mont Blanc rollerball refills will set you back $16+ for two and Parker Rollerballs $6.50 for two. I find no appreciable difference between the fine point rollerball writing instruments except cost.

This is a really nice pen. The chequered silver pattern is quite grippy and it looks very smart, with the rose gold accents making it look even posher.It comes with a fine black ink which writes smoothly and the grip part is also rose gold. The pen is kind of medium thickness, not slim, but not chunky either.I like the fact that there's no springs involved, so less things to break down. To write, you simply take off the cap and shove it on the end, no pressing buttons involved. I've often found that spring pens break down more often or you lose parts when changing inks.This simplicity makes changing the inks very easy, especially if you like to change colours frequently.

£95 !?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!Is any pen actually worth £95? I mean, it's a pen. It has ink. It writes.However, It is a very nice pen. It comes in as very nice gift box, with an instruction book that you need the Hubble telescope to be able to read.The ink cartridge comes separately underneath the pen. You have to try to figure out which side to remove so that the nib is showing. Once you have that figured out and you've unscrewed the pen it actually goes together very well.This is a fine nibbed pen and the quality is very good. the pen is thicker in circumference that some others, and fits nicely in to hand and fingers.So, overall and very nice pen.

It's been a long time since I used anything but a disposable pen; certainly I've no inclination to go back to fountain pens and refilling ink cartridges. But that does mean that coming back to a well-designed and sturdy pen like this is a real pleasure - it feels just right in the hand and has a pleasing weight to it. The added bonus is that with a roller ball and an easily replaceable cartridge there's no mess and fuss to it.The one criticism I have is not of the pen itself, but the refill cartridges; you would have though it would be easy to find the right replacement cartridge on Google or Amazon,

The pen comes encased in a lovely presentation box, complete with a luxury booklet. Note that the ink cartridge is under the pen section itself and not already inserted into the body. Un-capped the pen is a perfect weight, although I found pushing the cap onto the end of the pen whilst writing made is a little too heavy. However, this could be because I'm used to writing with cheaper, lighter pens.Because of the price, you might want to keep it in the presentation box when not in use to keep it safe; but because the pen is fine for every-day use, this may be something that is easily forgotten!Refills are available in black, blue and red - at the time of wring £4.27 for a (blue)

I would be the first to admit that I LOVE stationery. Pens, pencils, notepads etc - you name it and I either want it or have it. When I saw this Parker pen, it was a case of I NEED that pen.On first inspection it is stylish and beautifully presented in a lovely box that really emphasises the quality and sophistication that I would expect from a £90 pen. Then when I took it out of its box, it just feels like quality. It has a good weight to it and feels good in the hand. Then writing: the rollerblading just flows across the page.This is definitely not an impulse purchase but j know that I will still be using this pen in years to come.

Emblazoned on the side of the box. By appointment to HM the Queen. By appointment to HRH The Prince of Wales. So just like my friends I am writing with a Parker. Buy this pen and feel royal too.I guess this is a great gift or a really useful flash pen for those who use the ancient craft of writing. Nowadays I use a pen mainly to sign my name and write a to-do list on a scrap of paper. A head teacher would probably be the ideal person to receive this pen.Good points; fabulous case, really great looking pen barrel, no springs, no poison, and feels smooth when writing.Bad points; none that I can see, apart from a rather modest price tag.

This pen has a superb balance to it when writing, it actually feels very natural in my hand, the weight is so evenly distributed. The colour of the lacquer is a very deep red that is offset by the gold plated trim so the pen looks very expensive. It also comes in a very expensive looking presentation box, so the overall impression you get before you even put the refill in the pen is one of quality. I like writing with this pen. If I had a complaint it is that you only get the one refill and when you're paying nearly £100 for a pen I do think that's a bit mean, that aside this is a very nice, well balanced pen that it is a pleasure to use.

I have loved Parker pens from the first one I was given when we advanced to writing with ink in elementary school. Of course the price of Parker pens has gone upward and out of the reach of almost any elementary age school student.This pen is a rollerball and in my hunt for refills they are not obviously easy to find.The pen writes well. Even without the lid capped on top it is a heavier pen than most. I find that this allows me to write cursive with much more elegance, but even printing will be good looking.The presentation box is chic. The pen itself is high quality and a writing instrument that is agreeable to use.

This heavy gift pen in black with silver accents comes in a durable gift box. The pen comes with an ink insert tucked into the bottom panel of the box. Ink insert refills can be ordered online.I have attached a picture of how the pen writes. It is a ball pen with a smooth ink flow. The weight of the pen means that you don't have to press very hard to get smooth lines, making for a pleasurable writing experience that did not fatigue my hand.This is a good gift item for high school graduations, college graduations, law school or medical school events.

This pen exceeds my expectations. Not only is it solid, well-crafted, and balanced, but it's great looking. I hand-write a great deal of my notes to files and memos to staff, as well my personal correspondence and this pen makes it easy - no fatigue. The ink from the Parker refills is immediate to the paper and flows as evenly as any pen I have ever owned. I do suggest, however, that if you like a medium point, stick to the "fine" version of the refills. The "medium" is overly bold for what I would consider a medium point cartridge. Excellent pen!

This is my third Parker Sonnet Rollerball pen. The matte black finish gives this version a rather elegant look. The other two pens have the logo of UK based companies. (The pen boats seals "By Appointment to H.M. the Queen" and "By Appointment to H.R.H. The Prince of Wales".) My only issue is that the ink cartridge that is shipped with the pen invariably is a dud. Since I always have a number of back-ups in inventory this is not a problem for me.Wonderful gift.Unlike the cheaper roller ball pens this one will not leak when you are flying.

What a stunningly designed pen this is. The pear lacquered handle is gorgeous and feels so nice to hold. The silver lid is etched with a fabulous design and the pen has a nice weighty feel to it. Writing is smooth too. The ballpoint just skates across the paper with no problems at all. Parker really do ooze excellence and this is one pen I would recommend to anyone. The box it comes in is lovely. Keeps the pen nice and safe when not in use. If you're looking for a nice pen to last you through the years, then look no further.
