I keep this legend on my T.V now as I am a Jurassic Park fan, its a model that really reminds you of your inner child especially for those of us that had a healthy obsession with dinosaurs growing up. Id say its also just as good for a toy providing the child isnt too young though as its quite sturdy but heavy and irresistable to any youngsters really. If you go for accuracy with your Dinos this ones the Tyranosaurus for you, its very detailed, the mouth can open and close, and its a cool piece to have stood around. I believe there is one identical to this one in Leonard and Sheldon's appartment in the American comedy Big Bang Theory.

This model was the brown variant, which is what I hoped for as the sculpt seems much more delicate than the green skinned variant - especially on areas such as the teeth. The figure is extremely detailed, from head to tail, every scale and claw/vein is fascinating - so realistic! The plastic is heavy, this model does not feel hollow. The paint work is fantastic, lighter underside blending well to the darker brown, with some subtle dark striping along the top of it's body.I bought this as i'm a big Jurassic Park fan, and this t-rex is very similar to the one in the movies. In my opinion, the quality and detail of this far surpasses any of the models brought out under the real JP franchise.

I first saw Papo figures in France (they seem to love models over there). This one made my jaw drop when I saw. It is by far the best model of a t-rex I have ever seen (except the one in the Jurassic Park movie). I can't really comment if it is exactly what a t-rex would look like in the fossil record but its definitely aesthetic appealing and looks very convincing. Usually these sorts of models are so rigid, but the moving jaw on this is the icing on the cake. It has real personality and I often find myself just staring at it! One potential issue could be that the moving jaw doesn't seem exceptionally strong, so I'm not sure how well that would stand up to kids thrashing it about.

Absolutely love this t-rex - don't care if it wouldn't have actually stood in this pose in real life - it still looks brilliant! Excellent detail and the moveable jaw makes it so much better, just love that feature! Only thing i would say is there are multiple pictures for this product - all differing colours! I think only one is put on by the seller and therefore you'd think that would be the most accurate - but the one i received was the second photo (brown) and not the green version. I believe the brown version is the newer version and so i guess will be the one always supplied - think this should be made clear as someone could be disappointed to receive one in a colour they weren't

This is a very well made, sturdy and detailed model. I bought it for my 2 year old who has many other dinosaur models, but this is by far the most detailed and solid model. It weighs a fair bit, but stands up perfectly. It has some great detail work on it, as well as an opening jaw, which is also highly detailed and feels solid and well made, not flimsy or breakable.The model looks perfectly to scale and other than the fact some of the paint has scraped off one foot with play (my 2 year old has fights with them) I would highly recommend this model.They are on the expensive side for a single model but the size, weight and detail will let you know where your money has been spent.

I am honestly of the opinion that while they cost a little extra there is no better toy dinosaurs than the Papo range.I purchased this T-Rex for my daughter a month ago and while she already had a huge number of pound-store dinosaurs this became an instant favourite. Indeed she proceeded to put 7 of her other dinosaurs into a bag and asked me if she could trade them for a Brachiosaurus!Now the proud owner of two of these amazing models she has started doing her chores with a new vigor - desparate for the pocket money to purchase the next (a Triceratops).If you or your children are dinosaur fans then, in my opinion, there is no better brand than Papo.

You certainly get what you pay for... Other reviews say that this is inacurate than,, that maybe so but the detailing on it is superb.. It is great as it is, it reminds me of the T.Rex from the Jurassic Park films, I've always been after one and it looks the piece, it's actually even better than Jurassic park's own releases however I would advise that this is more of a model than a toy, it's very well made. I have the Spinosaurus and brachiosaurus too and I will certainly be buying more from the Papo dinosaur range. They look great in my display unit and Compared to scheilch it's no competition, scheilch are great toys where as Papo are great models.

These Papo Dinosaurs, are brilliant (even awesome..!) I have purchased several these for my Dinosaur mad 8 year old grandson.The detail and painting is really excellent. Both the 'T-Rex and the 'Spinosaurus ' stand Approx 170mm each and have nice poses.These I suggest, would also make really nice collectors pieces for display, they really are that nicely done..!Also, they have moving lower jaws and good detailing of the mouth and teeth.I, would not buy these for very young children, even though they seem to be well made.So all in all, fantastic model dinosaurs which come very highly recommended.

I cannot rate this high enough. Other papo dinosaurs can be very fragile and have hard sharp edges compared to schleich which are far more robust. I've found papo toys to have far better detailing than schleich models, they look much more like what you would think a dinosaur would look like.T Rex is and always has been my sons favourite dinosaur and this is his favourite T Rex model which is saying something as I think he has about 7 of them by different manufacturers. This pretty much goes everywhere with us, has taken an awful lot of punishment and doesn't look much worse than the day we got it.

Got this figure today excellent delivery by amazon came fast and on timeOpened the box the paint job on this figure is brilliant 10/10 it reminds me of the jurassic park trex it has the same eyes teeth and jaw and stands in a raw postion like in the movie only reason it gets four stars is because it is so small which for 20 pounds is a bit disapointing as u can get far bigger figures for same price this figure is about 5 inches which is smaller than neca predator so its very tiny but if you dont mind than by all means go for this figure as its brilliant

Absolutely love this figurine!I've always been a huuuge fan of both dinosaurs and Jurassic Park. As soon as I saw this model I was instantly reminded of the JP T-Rex and just had to get it.Obviously theres a few mixed reviews going around, as some people think its not very accurate to what scientists now think the T-Rex looks like, but who cares?!? The JP T-Rex is awesome!Overall, this model is just incredible; the detail is unbelievable (you can even see the ribs, neck veins, gum detail etc!)If you love the T-Rex then you will love this buy! :)

It's not accurate scientifically - no feathery/fluffy bits, pose is wrong and latest theories suggest tyrannosaurs would have had lips - but, as an 'Awesome Bro' Jurassic Park-style dino, this excells.I'm a commercial artist and buy dinosaur models to draw from. This is an extremely detailed beast with no cop-outs on the sculpting so no need for guesswork on my part. I can just draw what I see - including well-crafted individual teeth, roof of the mouth and tongue. The jaw is articulated and the standard of paintwork for the price is exemplary.

This is a quality figurine, heavy in comparison to other makes. Intricate detail gives the Papo T-Rex the edge, much better than I expected. It lost one star for its odd posture - a little too upright according to modern research, but I'm nitpicking only because a lifetime's passion for this creature has led me to investigate every piece of new information that has emerged over the decades. It doesn't alter the fact it surpasses all other manufacturer's efforts and is worthy of a place in every dinosaur lover's collection.

As an amature paleontologist this beautiful Acrocanthosaurus has my thumbs up for scientific accuracy! Papo have produced a beautiful sculpted figure which i believe to be an accurate representation of this formidable predator. Affordable without loosing the quality you'd expect from this company, for a plastic dinosaur "Toy" this figure easily makes a beautiful display piece for any dinosaur fanatic! The seller provided fast and efficient shipping! 5/5 stars!

Bought this t-rex for my nephews 5th birthday along with the running t-rex & brown baby t-rex and all three are amazing. This one though is stunning, all are highly detailed, this one may not be anatomically correct as some reviewers have stated but none the less it is gorgeous to look at and all are sturdy enough for a five year olds imagination.....not sure I can part with them, may have to re-shop for my nephew! LOL
