Bearing in mind your small rugby player will be growing fast, and be playing with thick rugby socks on, might be worth getting a size bigger than you would normally as these are a little smaller than you would expect. Certainly if they are verging on needing the next size up, I'd go for that..Other than the slight sizing issue, these are lovely little rugby boots. I actually received the blue + black ones and they look really lovely. The boots themselves are very well made - stitching is neat and they are finished well. The design is clean and attractive and the studs are placed in ergonomically correct locations apparently (I have no clue about these things!) - but they sure do the job they were intended to.

Although this review shows against the Black/Fluro option we actually received the Black/Red option which my Son was over the moon with.One thing I will say is that they are a moderately small fit and so if your child is edging towards the next shoe size then definitely order the next size up.The boots are really nicely designed and according to my Son very comfy to wear and run in. The velcro closure also means he can put them on and off by himself which gives him a bit more independence.The boots come with a stud tool for tightening the studs although they arrived already nicely tightened.They fit well and grip well and my Son is very happy with them but yes definitely consider ordering a

Nicely designed, kids football boots.Packaged well. Arrived in a strong cardboard, shoe box.These are a really nice design. All black and white football boots. White studs 1cm high. Strong velcro straps.These boots do come up slightly small so I would recommend the next size up.The boots have a nice thick, durable but flexible material. They can stretch wide to put your foot in. The inside is soft and comfortable. The velcro straps stay in place well.For first time and indoor football boots, I think these are great. They're not too high, they're nice and sturdy, easy to learn to run and walk in them! Quite comfortabl, obviously just a bit small. I would recommend them,

When looking for boots for a 5 year old, one thing was high on the list - velcro. But it's amazing just how few boots come with this option. It's easy to be lured in by the big brands, but actually these Optimum boots have better quality leather and studs (perfect for winter) than any other boot me and my son looked at. Having seen him in action wearing them for a month now, I know that they are great boots. He finds them very comfortable, and the velcro allow him to take them on and off very easily without assistance.These are the perfect starter boots for any aspiring footballer or rugby player.

These are lovely, lightweight, reasonably-priced, velcro-fastening rugby/football boots with man-made uppers and moulded studs that have quite soft-feeling, rubbery bases to them. The uppers are soft and flexible. The sizing seems to run about right. There are no light reflective elements to the trims. My nephew, who is on the little side, has been wearing size 12s since his last shoe fitting (at Easter). These 13s fit just about right on him. The fluorescent yellow colour is very striking against the black of the boots. My nephew absolutely loves them.

These are fab boots. The fit is great, they have PU uppers (rather than leather which we try to avoid). They look great - black with illuminous yellow detail. The studs are molded which isn’t an issue as your child will outgrow then before the studs are worn. The Velcro straps work very well and are a really nice feature. These are ideal for a first pair of football/rugby boots. And at around the £20 they’re not too expensive for a quality pair of boots.

Perfect for growing children. I got these for my son who’s feet seem to grow every day and I can afford to keep buying the high end brands. Also, I didn’t want to spend lots of money as sport is very on/off at the moment with the lockdowns. These boots are great. Velcro so not stopping 3/4 time a sessions to tie them up so the coaches are happy. Very please and definitely buy again till the growing slows down and brands become a necessity.

I’m really pleased with my son’s new football boots! They’re excellent quality and fit perfectly. I love that they have a hook and loop fastening instead of laces, as my son really struggles with laces still. The only downside was that the delivery was much, much later than expected. I kept receiving emails saying that Amazon couldn’t get hold of the boots and that they’d send them once they found them. Which took ages!

These are nice quality kids' football boots. They look very smart, so even though they aren't a big brand name, I'm sure any boy/girl will be happy to be seen in them. As others have commented, sizing is on the small size, so best to purchase the next size up from the norm. Fit otherwise is good, the velcro fastenings are very effective and feedback has been positive.

These Optimum football boots are true to their sizing.The green and black design is really striking.They are comfortable to wear.Great that they have Velcro straps, so there is no fussing about with tying laces that come undone.Included within the box of these boots there is a tightening key for the studs which is extremely useful.5 stars and highly recommended.

Son said they are very comfortable when playing football.Got fed up of the laces constantly coming undone during football practise, so opted for the Velcro ones, not disappointed. They are great quality, feel quite comfortable and no risk of tripping over shoe laces etc.Once outgrown, I plan on attempting to order the next size up so he can continue using these.

We found that they came up a little big, however saying that our little man is running nicely in them at football training. We've had no blisters or complaining if they're uncomfortable. With the velcro they're easily enough for him to put on and take off himself. The field they play on is very sandy and doesn't get too muddy so these are great boots.

Needed a new pair of football boots for my 7 yr old son. The coach said that velcro fasteners were better (more convenient). These boots do the trick. I and my son prefer the conventional large screw-in studs, rather than the newer style plastic protrusion multiple studs. They fit they are comfortable and my son is very pleased with them.

My son really likes his new football boots. The velcro fastening makes them easy of young children to put on. They seem well made, look stylish and my son finds them very comfortable. My son normally takes a 12, and these size 13 only just fit, especially with his sports socks on, so I would advise going up a size.

Comfortable and nice design that is easy to put on and take off due to the Velcro solution.They are on the small side, so you will likely have to order one size upA stud tightening tool is enclosed, but they were well tightened on arrival and we have not needed it yet.Nice quality for the money
