I have owned many pairs of Adidas Copa Mundial Team trainers over the years. My son needed a new pair of trainer and this coincided with his 12th Birthday. As part of his present he had an "upgrade" from £40 trainers to these beauts! In my mind there are no training shoes better than these. I have had my current pair for over 8 years and there is hardly any wear on the sole. That's after playing easily over 750 games in them (See attached photo of the sole). The leather is still in prime condition and there's still plenty of tread depth.These shoes are made from what Adidas call "K-Leather". This is to avoid the abuse of the animal rights tree huggers who have never been to Australia and seen the damage that these unusual marsupials do.In fact, the anti-Adidas movement started because a certain US brand paid animal rights groups as they were using plastic on their premium boots. Now, Adidas is playing the same game and is selling what are basically plastic shoes at premium prices. When I was a kid, if you had plastic trainers you suffered horrendous abuse. How times change. The Kangaroo Leather used in these shoes is ultra premium. Kangaroo leather has a tensile strength ten times that of normal cow hide. It's also much lighter and thinner and has been used for decades for elite sprint shoes (running spikes). Thus, I'm sick of paying through the nose for the latest and greatest innovation which recently has ranged from shoes made out of knicker elastic to stretchy mesh. The reason these "engineered" materials are used is solely down to profit. Widescale automation is more easily implemented when your shoe comes out of a mould or only has one stitching or gluing operation. It's about profit pure and simple. That's why leather is in such short supply in the sport and leisure gear market. There's only one material that performs like leather and that is leather.The Copa Mundial Team will resist abrasion very easily. Kangaroo is used in the top motorbike race suits for a very good reason. If it can protect MotoGP riders rubbing down the road at nearly 200mph, it can stop your feet rubbing against the 5-a-side surround or the pavement. These shoes are very comfortable and remain comfortable when you're playing in torrential rain. There's less absorption of water than cow leather and they dry very quickly. The ribbed stitched area on the top of the upper offers a great first touch and great grip on the ball when playing in the wet. The sole again offers brilliant grip whether inside, on pavement/asphalt, 2G astro (sand), 3G, 4G, frosty ground, hard ground and a reasonable amount on soft ground. However, soft ground use is not recommended since once the studs are full of mud, the grip has gone.Another great thing about these shoes is that they are very sturdy and protect your feet and ankles. They have a proper heel counter which helps lessen impacts from people playing in studded boots on astro (even the nutters in the aluminium studs (YES you know who you are!)). If they ever discontinue these I'll be buying a shed load to store away. In conclusion, for all the reasons I noted here, I bought these trainers for my son, having "play" tested these shoes over many years. If you love your football, want to look smart and don't want to be paying out £40 every 6 months for a pair of Adidas/Nike plastic profit shoes, get them, you'll love them!

As other reviewers has observed, these are superb football shoes, ideal for astroturf. Very well made, with good cushioning and support, strong toe area and 'old school use' of leather (well, maybe synthetic leather). They look very good too. The sole is a grippy 'dimpled' affair. The lacing works commendably and the tongue is nicely cushioned.A great product, well worth the money. As mentioned by others, the fit is a little tight, so usually taking a UK 9 size, I went for a UK 9.5 (44 EU) and this was perfect.

Perhaps the best shoe designed by Adidas for football. Eye: In this particular model it is NOT necessary to ask for it in the usual size that one uses, they must buy a size less, without exaggeration, so that they are perfect. For example, I am 40 1/2 (7.5 US) and I ordered them in size 39 1/2 (6.5 US) and they fit me perfectly. Even so, if there is something hypothetically adjusted, there is no loss, it is high quality leather and will yield with use.

Very impressed with these boots *****. I play on 4g every week and used trainers before I got these we beauts I was slipping all over the place on trainers and didn’t have much ankle support either. But with the mundial’s they have completely transformed my game to another level. Would highly recommend to anyone.

A real classic boot and I love them!Product arrived right on time, they fit like a glove and even help with my 'glass-ankles' as the support is quite deep. Very comfy too which is always a bonus. Just a shame they don't actually help me play any better! But they still feel great

I had a knee surgery and the doctor has already released me for soccer I need a soccer cleat that has a comfort I recommend this Adidas worldwide what you tell me that footwear will be if for me it will be good or you have another model for my in case I had surgery.

i have been having ,some issues with my footwear, tried many soccer cleats to fit my condition. when i tried adidas mundial team cleat, my feet instantly felt comfortable! i suggest this to whom ever has a large feet, it fits perfectly!

Quite simply the best astro boot ever made and in the race for cheaper and cheaper materials it will remain top of the tree for decades to come. Everything about these shoes smacks quality and considered craftsmanship. A joy to play in

Fantastic Adidas Mundial Team football shoes - perfect fit, has really supple kangaroo leather making the trainers really comfortable to wearBest astro turf trainers by far - can't rate them highly enough !!!

Quite expensive but still cheaper than any store.When it comes to value for money and if you are into running on firm ground or astro then this is a must purchase.

Very good trainers. I play on hard floor and 4G indoor pitches no problem with these.Not quite as comfy as my worn out Copa Mundials but still great to play in .

Timeless AstroTurf boot. Comfortable fit, reliable and felt border helps give you the extra control particularly when playing in the wet. This is my second pair!
