The No. 6 in olive wood comes with the Opinel INOX blade - Inox meaning acier inoxydable or stainless steel in French - specifically Sandvik 12c27 MOD I believe. Closed length is about 3 and 6/8th inches, blade length is approximately 2 and 7/8th inches, width is about 6/8th inch at the widest portion, thin blade, virobloc lock, and weighs basically nothing. It arrived somewhat sharp but benefited from a quick sharpening. The olive wood is much prettier than the beech wood in my opinion and this knife has supplanted my pricier Laguiole for everyday carry.

Lovely knife. Worth way more than the price! I had bought two of them from a back packing magazine, many years ago, but lost them. I remember how good they were so I was thrilled to find them here on Amazon. I received mine very promptly. It was very sharp out of the package. Beautiful Olive wood handle. I'm waiting for the goat skin pouch. I love this knife and kudos to the seller & Amazon! I highly recommend this knife. I will be buying more soon. A perfect companion to my Condor Bushlore.

Don't let the price fool you - It is an inexpensive knife but well made. The design is simple and attractive, the finish of the wood handle is a little rough but insures a good grip, and the ring between the handle and blade rotates to lock the blade open or closed. It is an impressive little knife with an extremely thin and sharp blade.

I couldn't see why people rave about this style of knife, now I get it. There is nothing wrong with this knife. It is inexpensive, lightweight yet sturdy, simple and well made. I know these have been around forever and there is a reason. There is something great in it's simplicity. I'm sure I'll get a No7 or 8 to go with it.

On the cutting edge of 19th century French technology. Very sharp, and will serve well for its intended purpose. Very lightweight. Comfortable in the hand. Blade is thin. Don't take it camping and expect it to cut firewood with it. It is only suitable for undemanding cutting tasks.

While a little small for my mitts, the No. 6 knife is just about the right everyday size for most people. This knife is well finished, lockes open and closed, arrived sharp, and is generally a joy to have and use. Nothing fancy, but simple and well made

All of the functionality of an Opinel with a beautiful handle. This one doesn't have the Opinel labeling on the handle. Read reviews for the Opinel No. 6 and add a more unique/beautiful handle without labeling and you've got this knife.

For the price paid, these are amazing knives for my every day needs. I eat fruit, open things, trim things and carry this in my pocket wherever I go. They are so good that I purchased some for my family as gifts.

A finely made knife with exquisite wood and a stainless steel blade, an efficient design proven by time and use. I wish I had discovered Opinel thirty years sooner, I am looking forward to a long relationship.

Best multi-purpose pocket knife I've ever had. Keeps it's sharpness in spite of the abuse I put it through. Would love to see the olive wood handle with some of the beautiful olive wood grain. Cheers.

I have been using Opinel's for some time now, and this is the most beautiful handle I have had to date. I prefer the Carbone blade (because it ages faster) but this will serve my EDC purposes nicely!

Great little knife,emphasis on little. Think swiss army knife size.Elegant in its simplicity,ageless in its practicality.As for Amazon,no complaints here,they are my online vendor of choice.

Product is exactly as it should be this is probably my 12th opinel I reshape the handles and gift them out. Exactly what I wanted and functioned perfectly. Shipped and arrived very rapidly.

This was a gift for my husband's camping knife collection. Good quality, sharp. I like that you can lock it open. We see this brand for sale around Europe, especially in Germany and France.

Very light, I barely notice carrying it in my pocket, yet it gives me most of the utility cutting power I need during the day. The locking mechanism adds a layer of safety which I like.
