Initially I was put off by the graphics which seemed quite basic compared to others hidden object games - similar to comparing a 3D movie with an old black and white; however each has it's own charms and this is the style of this game. The objects are varied and detailed, often realistic and in context so, for instance, you're not looking for a giant ship in the dining room. I found the map essential as there's lots to do as you move between two versions of the house and other rooms become available to search. A good feature is that you can jump from room to room as you need to so not too much wandering around. There's some detailed mousing as there's not much by way of 'sparkles'

I found this game totally absorbing. I was expecting a simple hidden object game, but the puzzles and twists add to the fun. When I first loaded it I couldn't put it down. I'm an old fashioned adventure game fan and this suprised me as it's more like of those than a hidden object game. There are a few niggles - the voices are annoying so I play in silent mode. The graphics are a little outdated compared to what's available these days. I think the worst thing is that it's quite a short game. In one session I completed half of it - that's about 2 hours play. Also the puzzles are not that hard, unlike something like Broken Sword.

I wanted something to take my mind off a project I am in the middle of and for 2 nights it did just that. Mortlake Mansion is quite addictive and very fun to play. In fact I have even got my teenage children playing it - though it's not as fast paced as their normal pc games.I will say the puzzles can be taxing even to my 41 year old brain (lol) so it is probably not suited to younger children. Overall it's a good game and recommended to those who like a little bit of time away form the normal day to day slog the world throws at us.It's a little jumpy playing it on my little acer netbook but it did work.Have fun! I did!

This is a simply stunning game. It combines the best of the 'hidden object' genre with a traditional adventure game. I was completely absorbed by the storyline, sumptuous 'sets', magnificent transformations and loved the device of switching between two time zones. Everything works very smoothly and all the puzzles are solvable when tackled is a calm, logical manner. As someone else said, it is totally suitable for all ages 9 to 90!If I could find more games like this from the same development team, I would buy them instantly. The game has given me great pleasure at very low cost. Strongly recommended.

This game is a hidden object game with a few good twist. Some of the puzzles require a little more thought, and the player is moved from room to room and often back again; also shadow rooms appear when certain ingredients and spells are completed. The game is strangley addictive and can be played more than once. The players character can be either male or female and the clues are given both verbally and in written form. As the format gooes this is game worth it's price. A nice addition for wet afternoons and boring sundays.

Find your way around an old mansion after crashing your car, you need help... a typical hidden object game but with a interesting story and great graphics. The mansion has a life of its own, explore the room find many hidden items and solve puzzles as you go along. I tried this for free online but only got 60 minutes of game play, the place I tried it was going to sell it to me for £14.99 but it was much cheaper at Amazon!

This was one of my first hidden object games and I must say I quite ejoyed it! The hidden object scenes are well done and the objects fairly easy to find. Navigation around the mansion can be difficult and there were times that I wasn't sure where to go next. The graphics are good and there are some eerie moments that add to the enjoyment.

Absolutely addictive, game grabs you and pulls you in to continue playing. Then you look at the time and think to yourself or say to whoever is in the room with you, "oh my is it really that late!!!"Love the graphics and some of it is quite spooky looking but not enough to scare

The game arrived quickly after ordering, in excellent condition, suitable for a gift. I have spent hours playing it and it is very interesting, good clean fun! Suitable for youngsters and 'oldies' like me !Would definitely order from here again.

I really enjoyed playing this game, although it may be for someone a lot younger than I am. I loved all the different twists to the game and it certainly gets you thinking. I would recommend it anyone who likes the genre of game.

I thouroughly enjoyed this game from start to finish. There was a lot of problems to solve which enhanced the game and they were not too difficult for a beginner. I would recommend this product to my friends.

This is a good "hog" with good stories. Like most of these games it needs thinking about & takes you from place to place to find all the objects you can find to solve the puzzles. It is well thought out.

Entertaining and engrossing. Great game. Different and very interesting. I really like this game. Original in it's approach, Graphics are quality. Will definitely buy more of this type.

A really enjoyable hidden objcet and puzzle game with very good graphics. Pretty scarey in places so for older children and adults only. Fun factor was very good. Highly recommended.

This is an excellent game with good graphics. I found this game very easy to solve but had me thinking a bit on occasions. The game installed ok on Windows 7 (64bit).
