I did complete all the scenarios in the end, and found it an enjoyable game. It is not very deep, the subplot is silly and the interface is a bit cheesey BUT it draws you in after a while and becomes addictive. The trick is to mine mine mine at first and let the colonists live in tacky plastic domes with no sanitation for a while. Once you get the industry going, you build research which makes your industrial products more valuable. You also find alien technology and can start to design nice layouts, and build the complex reward buildings. An enjoyable game, which was stable on both win 98 and Xp.

For £5, how much game do you think you'll get, well how ever much you have in mind, divide that in two. Played twice, its more like a space survey than a game, very linear.
