Looking for a replacement to the old Monopoly board game in the family home, I chanced upon this novelty gift where Cardiff and its notable locations were mapped onto the board in lieu of the original properties Old Kent Road, Regent Street, and Mayfair etc. Having been a resident of Cardiff for 25 years I thought this would be a fine gift for Christmas and when we opened it up and played it, the family agreed. It's a fresh new look at a classic, beloved board game and a great gift for fans of Monopoly who live in Cardiff. For those interested in what locations made it into the game, here's a list:Brown - Chippy Alley, Roath ParkBlue - Bute Park, St Fagans Museum, Norwegian ChurchPink - Cardiff City FC,Cardiff Blues, Glamorgan CricketOrange - Techniquest, National Museum, City HallRed - Clark's Pies, South Wales Echo, The SeneddYellow - St Davids Hall, New Theatre, Wellfield RoadGreen - University of Glamorgan, Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Millenium StadiumPurple - Cardiff Castle, Millenium CentreUtilities - Swalec Gas and Electric"Travel" squares (traditionally stations) - Cardiff International Airport, Cardiff Bus, Cardiff Bay, Bus Station

I purchased this version of Monopoly with some of the Christmas money my sister sent me because a) I collect the different versions of this game and b) the price was good. It arrived on 20/12 (and cheered me up no end, as that day I'd had a great deal of hassle with public transport!!) & once I'd put my heating on I opened it and I was very satisfied with it. Not only did I find it educational (there were places, particularly on the smaller islands, I'd never heard of) but a!so I liked the idea of replacing the tax squares with charitable donation squares. One minor quibble (not enough though to knock off anything from my rating) is, like all the versions I've purchased so far,the money is difficult to open.

We bought this as a couple of our family members have a great interest in Leicester as a place and a football team ! It's the standard set up, with (what I assume) are well known Leicester land marks in place of the usual suspects. My only issue was that it looked a bit odd in terms of the way that they had added photos of these landmarks onto the board. Not having seen other city-specific games, I don't know if this a common way of laying out the board. Other than this, there are no issues with the way it has been produced and it still keeps us amused as a game !

I purchased this edition of Monopoly as Manchester is the City of my birth and it was good to see some very familiar streets on the board. However, I am only giving it four stars as there is a mistake on one of the Chance/Community Chest cards. One of these cards instructs the player to 'Advance to Talbot Road' and there is no such square on the board. I can only assume that it means ' Advance to Old Trafford Cricket Ground' and that Talbot Road is a square on another edition.

Me and my family loved this, it was definitely worth the money what would be even better though is if they had a rotherham version so I would be able to buy it and have the dynamic duo, there was plenty of space on the packaging for the money and the cards, only thing I think would be an improvement is I wish there was more money in the game, but I resolved this by getting the eastenders monopoly and putting both money together, overall I think this Is great.

Being from Manchester once the game was open we could relate to the destinations and places on the board. Places such as Trafford Centre, The Lowry, Piccadilly Gardens to name a few. Still traditional 'go to jail' and chance/community chest cards were there and a good explanation of playing the game. There is a fast track version now in the game which helps. Still hours of fun and reminiscing from when I played this when I was young. Recommended.

I purchased this monoploy for my children as we live 20 minutes away from Cambridge and I thought it would be greta fun to see all the different places around Cambridge. It is great fun to play and I would recommend this to any fan of monopoly. With regards to delivery I have never had an item delivered so FAST!!!! I ordered this item on Friday at 15:15 and I received it the next day(Saturday) at 10:15 with my normal mail. FAB!!!!

Got this for my dadHe loves it and it is a nice set for him as the place he was born and raisedAnd all the stops are fitting and the main onesOnly downside is the box layout is different for some reason so unlike standard monopoly it doesn't have holders for all the cards or money so they have to lay next to the box when playingApart from the box design it's well worth it for a different game from the normal one

It's been a long time since I played Monopoly and I decided to get the localised set for my son for Christmas. We had great fun playing this established board game and the local sites had more meaning for my son than the places on a traditional Monopoly board. The game was received in perfect condition due to the item being well packed and protected from the rigours of delivery.

This was so much fun. Bought 2nd hand but was as good as new. There are a few famous places missing like Park Street. Also the area values don't seem to match up to real life - maybe they didn't want to offend anyone! There's also quite a lot of marketing but it didn't bother us. I liked how the transport squares were Bristol Temple meads and Bristol International Airport etc..

I bought this for members of the extended Lowry family who live in Carlisle Cumbria. Put simply they lived it. Everyone knows what monopoly is but being based on streets in the city of Carlisle gives it an added dimension of fun. A great family game and a good gift. It did take a while for them to realise it was based on Carlisle and not the usual game. Highly recommended.

I've had for a few weeks now, first time playing monopoly and I am not disappointed. Everything was included in the box, nothing was broken or bent. I wanted the original monopoly but this is a close second, the only big difference being the names of the properties. It definitely takes a long time to finish the game, but I definitely recommend this for game nights!

Honestly, this game should come with some form of warning. Its simply unplayable during the Summer months as many of the streets are blocked off.On a side note, our local politicians ought to be world champions at this game. A bunch of strange characters continually going round and round in circles while accumulating vast swathes of wealth and property!

Great to play this with our young daughter and see her doing everything I ever remembered doing when I played Monopoly (original) with my Dad back in the day.... you know - trying to con the banker, stopping Daddy putting houses and hotels anywhere and also ALWAYS having the dog as her marker! Nice twist to have another city to conquer! Great stuff....

Great version of the game. Was surprised to find Clowne in the Old Kent Road space, a place familiar from when I was young. Not sure it quite deserves being Old Kent Road, but I guess any mention in the game is a good thing considering most of the other places are places or landmarks in the city of Sheffield itself (as you might expect).
