There seems to be no end to capitalising on the ‘Monopoly’ brand name and its assorted offspring’s and as much as we like the original version, plus other now established games, we have played it/them over many years and will no doubt continue to do so, but this is not to the same sort of standard as it seems to be cashing in on the Fast & Furious franchise of course but... Its basically (?!) the same sort of thing but combining the ‘F & F’ as a theme and while we expected not to like it we were surprised to find it quite addictive in some respects once you get your head around the various updates to the names etc. as compared to the original version but we are more than aware of the films - we have all the DVD’s by now I think!- so perhaps to those not so savvy about the films it might not gel too much with them but its worth a try but if you are a fan of the films themselves, then this is the one for you!. One thing is we seem to finish the game itself quicker than the original, which is always going to be the ‘bench mark’ that any others are going to be judged by but the actual players board model 'cars' have come a long way since the little model houses of years gone by. Otherwise, buckle up and foot to the floor with a big 5 stars and away you go:)

Great tie-in to the films, this version of Monopoly has everything you’d want and expect from a themed set, from the player pieces to the destinations that you land on.It’s made to the same high standard as other Monopoly sets, with good quality materials and detailed graphics. As all the player pieces are cars, I found it a bit difficult to tell which was which, especially when we played the game on the coffee table with no decent overhead lighting. The pickup truck playing piece was the easiest one to tell apart from the others. On the standard version of Monopoly, there is a community chest, where you take a card to see what event has happened to you. In this version, the community chest is replaced with Fast & Furious type event cards. One of them says ‘You are injured in a death-defying train heist. Pay hospital fees of 50’, another says ‘You have gained a large following online after your back-to-back street race wins. Collect 200’. And all the locations resound the board are places and events from the films. In short, if you have kids or teenagers who love the films, this version of Monopoly is perfect, they’ll love it (and car-mad parents too, of course!)4 stars

This “Fast & Furious” edition of the Monopoly Board Game adds to the growing range of themed versions of the game that keep the old franchise alive and kicking. I still prefer the old traditional version personally, but I can see the attraction of a bit of variety. Based on the Fast & Furious films this game covers the series right up to “The Fate of the Furious” and will be best understood by those who have actually seen the films. The quarter-mile drag race between Brian O'Conner and Dom Torretto, or the vault heist from the Fast Five, for example, won't mean much without knowing the background!Currently around twenty-two pounds from Amazon this could be a good Christmas gift idea for the right film fans and it would be a good way for the family to have some fun together without the use of a games consul. If you like board games, films and the Fast & Furious then this could be the game for you – but you do need some knowledge of the films to get the most out of it.

What can I say about Monopoly that you don’t already know? Not much. It’s Monopoly with a few superficial changes to the board and cards to connect it to the Fast and Furious film franchise. These alterations neither hinder or enhance the game. My only substantial complaint is that having all six playing pieces be cars could be confusing. They are all silver and car shaped so it’s not inconceivable that players might lose track of who is who on the board.I played a two player game. It was a rather drab experience. I think four players are needed for it to become fun as there is more potential for backstabbing etc.In this day and age I think it might be a real challenge to get four or more adults to sit down for three or more hours to play a board game. It’s been handed over to some kids but I doubt they will ever play it. How can an old board game about property development compete with modern computer games?

If you’re a Fast & Furious fan who likes the most slower pace of Monopoly, then I guess you’re in for a treat should you buy this, but it’s really the same old game with different labels.I want to rate the game lower because it’s a pretty tedious board game, where the aim of the game is to grind all the other players into bankruptcy, but if you’re familiar with Monopoly you probably already know that and may in fact enjoy it. So I can only rate it based on how good a version of Monopoly this actually is.Well, if you like the movie franchise and the game then this is a going to be a winner! It has plenty of movie references, great little cars instead of an iron etc and it looks good.So for Fast & Furious fans who love Monopoly this is going to go down huge, if like me you play it once every five years to remind yourself how long and tedious it is, then perhaps not so much.

I have always believed that Monopoly is a game for all ages, irrespective of whether that is 8 or 80, and it is a game that I have always loved. Over the years, there have been a huge numbers of editions (1,144 accordingly to Google), with this Fast and Furious edition being one of the latest. In many ways, it doesn't matter what Monopoly edition you are playing, as all of the rules remain exactly the same e.g. visit and acquire properties, build workshops (houses) and showrooms (hotels), charge rent etc. Accordingly, in my view, the only real difference is that if you are a Fast and Furious fan, there is a bit of added interest, in the form of themed properties. In summary,I feel that this particular edition of Monopoly is just as enjoyable as any other, but the Fast and Furious theme makes it even more interesting for all Fast and Furious fans

This is Monopoly with a twist instead of the familiar street names, Old Kent Road, Mayfair, Pall Mall and the like, the names are all based on the Fast and Furious film franchise. Great if you're a fan of these films. But, hey, the principal of the game is still the same and provides hours of fun, which is a lovely change from sitting in front of the telly watching.....Fast and Furious films, what else! The pieces are again based on vehicles in the films, for example the Rally Fighter and the Dodge Charger – a car is a car to me, so I don;t place too much importance on that. I always liked the old boot from the original game, so what do I know.Monopoly has never been the cheapest board game in the toy shop, and this is no exception, but still, it's good to have a few board games, and Monopoly, in whatever form, is a classic.

There are many Monopoly variants out there (at the last count we'd had a cat version, a Simpsons version, a Lord of the Rings version and a Harry Potter version), and this one based on the Fast & Furious films is the same Monopoly that you know and love, but with the tokens, properties and Chance/Community Chest cards replaced with things from the Fast & Furious films. We liked this because it's Monopoly; our two eldest children liked this because it's to do with films of which they are fans. It will always seem odd to me to be not buying iconic London locations such as The Strand, or being awarded £15 for winning a beauty contest, but I'm assured by my children that that's old hat and boring, and that this version is much better. Conclusion? Unsurprisingly, if you're a fan of the films then you'll like this.

There seem to be a never ending supply of new versions of Monopoly these days, some of which feature novel gameplay and others which are classic Monopoly with a skin on. This 'Fast & Furious Monopoly Board Game' falls into the latter category, being pretty much ordinary Monopoly but with different names for things (houses and hotels are workshops and showrooms, for example). The tokens are six different cars from the franchise - they don't look particularly distinct from each other to me, but the boys were pleased! The gameplay is the same as usual and thus somewhat lengthy and slow, so I would recommend this for either slightly older children or those with much patience.Beautifully presentedversion of Monopoly for the fan of the Fast and Furious film franchise.

This is a revamp of a winning formula, instead of just one car, a boot and a dog etc there are now six cars. Happily they are all metal and well detailed. The photo on the box doesn’t really do them justice. So there are a few cosmetic changes to the way the game is played. Instead of “Chance” and “Community Chest” there is “Mission” and “Race.”Another change is that the property addresses are all changed to scenes from the F&F films.Having played this, the transition from normal monopoly is effortless. It still retains appeal to adults and appeals to the younger generation as well. This is a good game but I would suggest that all player have seen at least one of the Fast and Furious films togive the game some context.Five stars!

This could be the latest in the themed issues of the famous Monopoly Board games. Like many of the other reviewers the fo,at is always going to be popular as it brings out that friendly competitive streak that everyone has and it’s always interesting to see who is the most competitive player. Like all the themed games having familiarity with the subject matter is a bonus but thinking back we got on well with the London board game with a quick read through the instructions. I don’t think the love for Monopoly will ever die because it does manage to reinvent itself with these themed versions. So all told this will be a good gift. The box looks good and the contents interesting too.So get a friend or two around and start playing...

The Fast & Furious Monopoly Board Game by Winning Moves arrives in a standard type box. I have the classic version. Children version and the new Fast and Furious version. Our daughter-in-law loves F&F films and has seen the whole series, I have seen 5 of the films. I like the game-play of this new set and the changes to reflect the film series. The basic and overall concept of the game is essentially the same in principle, but you have a refreshed look to reflect the new theme. If you like Monopoly and you have a the right person who likes playing and loves the films, they will like the game-play. Given to the right person this is bound to please.

I’ve always loved the game of Monopoly, and have fond memories of playing it with many family members and friends. This set is my first experience of ‘non-traditional’ Monopoly and is based on the Fast and Furious film franchise with some very cool cars as the players’ tokens and scenes from the films featuring as board placements. It does give an interesting twist on the game and hopefully will introduce it to players who might not have been interested in it before. It’s not essential to have liked or even to have watched the Fast and Furious films but it is likely to make the game more enjoyable if you have done.

This would be an amazing gift for a Fast & Furious fan. In our household, we don't watch the films but wanted to try something bit different and as there are 'car buffs' who'd be playing we thought this would engage them. If you're a fan then you'll get the nuances and references in the game. We aren't so that side of things was over our heads. It was a nice change to traditional Monopoly though and I'd like to try other themed sets to see what they're like. I'll have to seek out the Fast and Furious fans amongst my friends and play with them to see what they make of it!

A new version of a classic game licensed from the Fast and Furious brand. We also have an old Empire version which is good fun, so could compare this new game with a classic theme. The principles are the same, but instead of businesses, here you buy workshops and rent them out, but it’s complicated and lengthy and no a lot of fun.Our 11-years seems to like it, but he is a boy.We considered that the game might target the movies fans, but quickly decided that there’s nothing fast or furious about the game and as such we can’t see how this would be a good match.
