This game is great fun. We purchased it way before the lockdown, back in the days when we used to be able to have people around for things like dinner, drinks, just because and so on. After dinner, with eight of us (one of whom was American), we cracked open the game and set about learning it's rules. They are not complicated and like most games, you can always consult the rule book along the way (Monopoly and Scrabble players will understand this all too well, I fear). I won't give away too much of the plot line, suffice it to say, there isn't an actual 'train' involved and the only Mexicans are those that you might invite into your home, and some mental maths is required. I should clarify that a 'Mexican'isn't required to play this game. The afore mentioned American was able to enjoy the game with as much enthusiasm as his English companions. I consider this a bonus as it attests to the game's cross culture value. If there are more than 3 or 4 players, I would recommend this game highly and I look forward to the next time we're allowed people in the house, including American's, so that we can dust off the fantastically constructed cardboard box and once again, test our mental maths. If I manage to play this game again and we have a Mexican to hand, I may update this review.

LOVE LOVE this game, as a family that loves games it is sometimes hard to find a game to occupy/keep everyone happy. However this is absolutely fantastic. Having 2 children ages 4 & 8 we can play this as a family (easy option game can be played) and lots of players can be involved when we have people over. The rules are a little hard to start with and not helped by the fact that the booklet comes with limited information, but we googled the rules and the just agreed to our own family rules. Highly recomend. My only two niggles is that the tiles don't come in a bag and the tin lid doesn't fit well and once everything is loose/opened it falls out if not careful.A couple of times gone to pick tin up and ended up with tiles everywhere

My mother plays this back home and when she came on holiday she said you need to get it. So we bought this version. Its in a metal tin which we thought is great for transporting about with us when on holidays or other peoples houses. Also, we knew it wasnt going to be another game where the box gets ruined before the lifetime of the game has expired. We are so glad we went with this one. Its gone halfway around the country with us. Its been dropped, stood on and even a drink spilt on it. Everything cleaned up well and still works. The dominoes are standard size and the colours are great to identify each number. We opted to get same day delivery and sure enough, we did.Very happy with this purchase.x

A friend had this that they'd bought in the US. Brilliant to find could get it here. Importantly wanted it to have the good quality weighty tiles not the cheap thin dominoes you get in cheaper versions.A great game for all the family including the oldies - although if my mother's anything to go by they can be merciless!I would have liked a better, more robust starting train station - like my friend's version, but other than that I love the quality of the dominoes and the metal case is a bonus to store them in. Thoroughly recommend the game and this supplier.

I bought this game from a recommendation and so had high expectations before we played it and I must say that it did live up to those expectations. It comes in a nice, sturdy storage box and the dominoes are good quality and also have coloured dots which helps you to play the game a little more easily. We found that the instructions on how to play were not all that clear and so watched a 5 minute you tube video on how to play instead. My 8 and 10 year old sons were also able to play independently as the rules are so simple. A great, traditional family game.

I played this game with my family on a vacation where it was in an AirBnB we were renting and was so happy I bought one myself. It's simple but strategic so anyone can play up to 8 players. The tin says ages 7 and up, and I believe that's probably true, although I have only been playing with adults. It's perfect because it can be as long or as short as you want with multiple rounds. I would highly recommend this as a new family favourite game! Also, this set comes in a tin, easy to transport.

We was introduced to this game by our local U3A group and enjoyed it so much that we got our own game and got all the family playing it over Christmas. Would recommend this game as it is great fun whilst being very strategic. This version of the game has coloured dominoes which makes it easier to distinguish the different numbers. The game arrived before the estimated delivery date and actually arrived before Christmas which was unexpected and added bonus.

This is probably the best game I have played since Cluedo, when I was 10, ( I’m no 55)! We played it at a friends house and liked it so much that we bought a set to play at home. It is a bit tricky to get the hang of, to start with, but well worth preserving! The best bit is you think you are on the home run and suddenly find yourself with 15 dominoes! Probably best it’s 6-8 players though you can play it with just 2of you!

Very well made sturdy, colourful tiles. The "station" is a little flimsy but it is quite simple to make something more substantial. You Tube gives better guidance on the rules than those included, but they do seem to vary and as long as you understand what "your" rules are, it doesn't spoil the enjoyment of the game. Really good for all ages and something grandparents can compete at with the younger generations.

I first played it in the Marina of Salinas Yacht Club in Puerto Rico and was so thrilled that I bought several sets. One is now at my sisters' in Australia and whenever I'm there, we play it at least 3 nights a week. Her friends got the "bug" as well, I play it with my friends here in Ireland at least once a week. There is nothing more "social" than playing games together and this one takes the cookie!

This set of 91 dominoes up to double twelve brings a new dimension to a game that all the family can enjoy. My eight year old grandson is developing his numeracy skills and this set should stand up to multiple usage. Delivery in an excellent metal container was quick and efficient. It is certainly good value for money and I would recommend this product without reservation.

This is a really great game, you get to stich each other up and you can make it a fast or slow game and it can be played by kids and adults alike. You can play this by color or number as both on on the domino's.Up to eight players as well, we have have some really good nights playing this when friends have come round always a laugh after a glass or two.

Everything was as expected. I own another set of this game by a different maker and the one big difference is that the " station" for the Mexican Train itself is very flimsy, but that doesn't impact on the enjoyment of the game at all. The tiles are sturdy and well marked and everything packs neatly into the tin which means it's easily carried.

We all live this game which was introduced to us by family in Sweden. We were hooked after the first time! We bought our own version as soon as we came home and have played the game more or less every weekend since the summer with different friends and family and they all love it!Very good quality, well made and sturdy.

Very enjoyable game making your own train and trying to get rid of all of your tiles, also great for all ages. Played with family members ranging from mid-20s to mid-70s and all enjoyed it. Will be playing time and time again. Lovely to play outside on a sunny summers day too (just suggest a hard surface to play on!).
