I have had a few 'summer' type fragrances in the past and they normally end up going to the back of my aftershave collection where they sit until I go hunting for something to use as an air freshener. However, with this Lacoste spray fragrance I can tell it will be different. As soon as I sprayed the eau de Lacoste I noticed it had a more refined fragrance than most 'fresh' smelling aftershaves. It was subtle and unintrusive whilst still very much present. That may sound like a contradiction, but those who wear a variety of aftershaves will probably relate to the fact that some aftershaves constantly waft up your nose until you hate the smell of them whilst others disappear from existencewithin moments of putting them on.On the subject of longevity I sprayed the Lacoste fragrance on myself about 8am this morning and can still smell it now at 4pm, albeit I do have to put my wrist close to my nose now.My wife, who doesn't normally comment on my aftershaves unless she really likes them, has told me several times today that I smell good. She even described me as smelling like I've just come fro the gym, but in a good way. I can understand what she meant by that. It's that refreshing smell you get when you've done a workout or something that makes you a bit sweaty and then step out of the shower after using an evigoratingly fresh shower gel. Just by putting on this aftershave you feel cleaner!As for the lifespan of this bottle, I'd estimate it will last a good long while. You don't need a lot to get the desired impact; I used a couple of sprays on the neck and one on a wrist which I rubbed against the other wrist. Now for the aesthetics of the bottle. This is my kind of aftershave bottle. It's all very well having these ellaborately designed bottles, with funky shapes and sprayer tops but in reality they're not the most practical. The eau de Lacoste bottle is tidy and compact with rounded corners that allows for it to easily fit into a toiletry bag without taking up a lot of space.the sprayer is simple and not something that will break after a month of using it. Stylewise, the green to white gradient is simple but looks good. It also features the recognisable Lacoste logo. The nice touch is the logo is actually embroidered.I gave the eau de Lacoste 5 stars out of 5 because it ticks all the boxes. It's a long lasting fragrance which requires only a small amount to have an effect. The bottle will look good on your shelf or slid neatly into your toiletries bag. So i'm not really one for wearing aftershaves as I find some a little too over powering. However after giving this one a go each day for a couple of weeks I really began to like it. First off the item comes packaged in a small box with very minimalist information on it, apart from the Lacoste logo and a few other bits of text that's about it. The bottle itself is small and made of glass which is dark blue with the Lacoste Croc logo from one of their shirts glued to the front, it comes fitted with a press spray nozzle which does a good job of atomizing the liquid onto your skin, unlike other aftershaves I have owned in the past which squirts a bunch of it at you soaking your face/neck.The scent itself initially is quite sharp but quickly subsides into a pleasing warm smell with a noticeable aroma of a new polo shirt. It never caused me any irritation or redness, I did however notice that the scent would wear off within around 6 hours so it would need reapplying in the afternoon to retain that warm new shirt smell. Though I should mention the scent only wore off the skin within that time frame, the collar on my shirt still smelt heavily of the stuff. All in all I really liked this Lacoste aftershave and would certainly consider buying another bottle once this initial one has run out. Another thing which I can't ignore is the fact it would make the wife bury her face into my neck frequently, so I can't complain about that either! I would totally use this product again and love the delicate undertones associated with the scent. It even lasts all day long which is a bonus in my book! Lacoste has always been a brand that I would overlook on the shelf when looking for aftershave. When the aftershave arrived i was impressed with the packaging and the vibrant colour of the bottle itself, giving it an unique appealing look. The aftershave has a very fresh fruity smell which to me I absolutely love! There are many subtle undertones to the aftershave which come through at different points whilst wearing the aftershave, the smell seems to develop more over time. I have worn the aftershave everyday to work since arrival. I have had numerous comments from people at the office about how nice of a smell the aftershave is.The product has a lasting fragrance with a few squirts lasting my 8 hour shift and still being able to smell the product quite distinctively. I would say the fragrance is best suited for a younger gentleman age 18 to mid 30's, as a day-to-day aftershave. I personally think this aftershave is A+, im looking forward to exploring what other fragrances the brand has to offer, my perception has completely changed and this aftershave is one that it going to be staying as one of my permanent fragrances. The packing of the fragrance is simple and unpretentious. Though the bottle comes with the same woven logo that you get on the polo shirts which I really liked and thought was a nice touch. The bottle itself had a bit of grip to it which means that it shouldn’t be prone to being accidentally dropped, whoops! The fragrance itself really hits you with that summertime feeling, a nice citrus zest immediately hits you and adds to the lightness of the fragrance, there’s also some ceded wood that comes through which I personally love in a frangrence, it adds that old school classic tone which is to be appreciated. Since wearing it I’ve had many comments on how nice it smells and people asking what fragrance it is so that they could buy it either for themselves or for another.As mentioned earlier the fragrance feels really light, given that it’s not a Eau De Toilette and is a Eau Fraiche it won’t last as long as probably your “normal” fragrance as it’s not as strong. As said before it's not because of the brand name lascoste it's just a good fragrance in itself. If your looking for something new to try or gift for someone I swear you should try is out. Unpacking this fragrance I loved the colour scheme and bottle shape. The embroidered logo design is fantastic as well. My family wear a lot of Lacoste and this little feature gives a premium look and feel to the bottle. The scent itself is strong and evokes those Summer emotions. The limoncello top note is fresh and vibrant and works well with the earthy and sea based undertones. My wife told me it brings memories of childhood days at the beach and it certainly leaves you feeling fresh. It masks other smells well and wears long in fabrics. Perfect for a hot summer’s day spruce up.The only downside to this fragrance to me would be that the top notes don’t last too long and disappear after a few hours,leaving the heavier, muskier notes lingering which are still nice to the nose, but not quite as fresh and summery as the limoncello. Got this just in time for the sunshine over the bank holiday weekend so was very excited to try a new smell in the sunshine! The bottle stood out to me in its girly vibrant pink hue, and the smell was just as appealing! The scent was not something I would usually go for but in need of a change, I initially didn’t spray too much incase it was fairly strong as I like a subtle hint. However, it was just perfect, not too strong but I kept getting a waft of the sweet scent.It’s a very pleasant, inviting, summery, playful scent, which I would most definitely reccommend after many positive comments from friends and strangers on it’s fresh summery vibe.The only down side for me so far would be thescent didn’t seem to last as long as I would have liked but maybe that’s down to me applying sparingly to begin! I have to confess before receiving this product I had never thought to try lacoste fragrances and they definitely weren't one of my go to brands. Upon first trying the product I did think it was a little young for me (I am 35) but after wearing it for a while I felt the fragrance growing on me. The fragrance itself it very light and zesty with real citrus undertones to it definitely one for the summer, the fragrance has OK longevity but on a long day I did feel the need for an extra spray during the day. Whist wearing the fragrance a few close friends did comment and seemed pretty split a couple liked the fragrance and a couple didn't believing it to we too zesty.Personally I like it but don't get me wrong this isn't a scent that I would be reaching for when getting ready for a big night out but for meeting a few friends in the pub beer garden in summer.......definitely.
