The packaging was OK, but could be improved. It was punched (courier fault I assume) and I first feared the product would be damaged before opening it. The board is quite heavy, and large, so needs to have the space to put it.There is no problem with magnetism, all pieces holding in place perfecting sturdily. The finish is very good. It's a high quality product. We have had the France version for 2 years now and it's still in perfect condition despite it being handled rather savagely by our toddler. My only criticism is on the choice of pieces, I find there are a few too many pieces in russia or canada, with nothing interesting on them, would rather have separate pieces for Scandinavia or other places where countries are clubbed together. Also it would be better if seas were cut out (like the red sea or the med). But overall it's still very well done.

I chose this over other very expensive educational maps, because it included the following categories: continents, countries, capital cities, animals, people, and landmarks. The only thing missing was flags. However, when everythings on its very busy. I do feel like its an item that will grow with my children because of the detail. My only criticism is that animals, people, and landmarks are not named. Hence you have to buy a book about the world to truly get the educational value out of it. It would have been useful if the map came with a leaflet, labelling the things on the map.

Bought a smaller magnetic map for my son for Christmas (he’s 3) but he can already put all the pieces in the right place so I’ve upgraded to this one. It’s absolutely huge and so many pieces. Unlike others ours arrived in perfect condition, and the magnets are perfectly strong enough to hang on the wall.Packaging says 7-12 but I have no problem playing with it with my 3 year old as long as you’re constantly supervising. He is autistic and non verbal but loves puzzles so I’m hoping this will be popular for a while yet!

My daughter loves maps and puzzles and this was a great item to combine the two. The writing is clear, the pictures are lovely and the magnets stick well. Not all countries are shown, but I don't think that detracts from the product at all. It's not intended to be an atlas but something to help drive kids' interest - and I think it does that very well. Totally worth the money spent.

This is nice - a lot of small details scattered around the map which keep everyones interest. Got this instead of a globe and no regrets. It does have an odd thin sheet of plastic between the map and the pieces which could be cut off if it gets too annoying. Turn the map around and you get the continents at night - not really, its just black.

Really good quality. Well made and will last for a long time. The magnets are strong too. I did lots of research on a world puzzle and this was ideal as the fact its magnetic means you can teach your child about the continents and oceans first then add the layer of the countries. Love it and have already recommended it to many friends.

This magnetic world map is great and beutifully illustrated. I bought two of them for my nephews. One of my nephew is autistic. He is struggle with imaginative a continents, countries and where are the most popular places and animals of the world. This magnetic map is a fantastic way for children to play and learn.Highly recommend!

Excellent map to help teach kids basic georgraphy. My only (slight) criticism is that it although you can’t have all 195 countries, there are a few that are joined that shouldn’t be, especially if you are teaching one at a time. However, very clever idea and my son loves it!

My 6.5 years old daughter loved it. Learning and having fun together! Although already hanging in her bedroom's wall, from time to time we swipe out all pieces and reconstruct it. And all her friends love it as well. An excellent gift.

Beautiful map. It seems quite sturdy but the first one I received had damaged corners. No problems in replacing it though. My only gripe would be that Chile seems to fall off quite readily, but more importantly - where is Ecuador??

Bought for my two children ages 5 1/2 and 4. They absolutely love it. Sufficient detail for this age range and great for learning countries and continents. Hours of educational fun to be had.

First-class product. Christmas gift for my four-and-a-half year old nephew. He loves it. It's highly interactive and really sparks his imagination in loads of different ways. Happy auntie!

Packaged well, all corners protected. This is a quality product (as you would expect at this price) and the detail in the map is excellent. Will be part of my sons life for many years

It was a Christmas present for my eldest Grand-son and it was appreciated for a little while. So I will recommend this Magnetic World Map for young children.
