I definitely see this as an ‘everyday’ fragrance that I would happily wear to work, post-gym, or out on the weekends (as I have been doing), as opposed to a fragrance I’d wear in the evenings or on a night out or a date (i.e. a special occasion). I also see this as a summery fragrance, and perhaps more for suited for younger than older men (I myself am 25).The bottle is sleek and minimalist and there are no issues with the spray or leakage. In terms of the scent, the ‘cool mint’ definitely comes through first the strongest followed by citrus tones – combined it definitely provides a fresh sensation. I would describe the scent as rather minimalist itself as there aren’t too many complexities in it that I detected,and I like this simplicity for an everyday fragrance. I’ve been using it in the morning before work, and after my gym session at lunch time and it definitely makes me feel fresh and clean.My main issue with the fragrance is its longevity – it doesn’t seem to last very long. The mint tones especially drop off rather quickly which is a shame. I’d recommend as a fragrance to refresh you and prepare you for the day, especially after summer workouts! I am pleasantly surprised by the by the freshness, coolness and overall quality of this Hugo Boss Iced 75ml Natural Spray.The fragrance has a citrus hint, the bottle remains cool with the ingredients in the aftershave making the spray a cool blast, excellent for the summer.The bottle described for by the the elegant man, is a true resemblance of the quality of Hugo boss and a must have in your aftershave collection.One critique about the product would be the lasting of the smell, and after an hour to two the smell does wear off. However, the smell can be smelt from around 2 metres which resembles its strong mint endulgance. Before buying this product I would want to know the price, lasting of the smell,who it is best for, size of the bottle. These are important aspects of the product that must be answered. In addition, it would also be great to know the average amount of sprays you will get out of the bottle.When spraying this aftershave, it covers a large surface area making it resourceful and ensuring you get every last drop. Having been a fan of the Hugo Boss Intense Eau De Perfume I was highly optimistic for how good this product will be. Firstly the box states that HUGO BOSS ICED is a blend of iced ingredients, the main one being iced mint and this doesn't disappoint. The smell is exactly as described and is a very pleasant smell but this is extremely subtle and more sophisticated. It is not so in your face with a strong scent. I would say that the scent is a little too subtle which means that it doesn't last and is not noticeable towards from the afternoon onwards. I personally prefer the HUGO BOSS Intense which lasts a lot longer.The smell is genuinely really nice and perfect for the summer during the day.I really like the ergonomic shape of the bottle that fits ones hand like a glove.The screw on lid also makes it secure when being chucked in a travel bag. the metal finish gives it a quality finish but this means it isn't recyclable. I would prefer to sacrifice the metal for something that is better for the environment as it is a bit wasteful.If you're after a fresh subtle summer smell, then this produce is for you! Over the years I have found myself purchasing many mens fragrances, with a willingness to try new scents regularly. I have found that one of the most consistently reliable brands is that of HUGO BOSS. I have tried several of the HUGO range in the past and while more than pleasant, I have always found them playing second fiddle to options available in the main BOSS range. However as a choice of 'fresh' daytime scent I have to say the new HUGO ICED is in fact a new favourite. The ICED name is certainly apt, with a very clean, modern freshness to it. Its refreshingly minimalist in complexity, again apt and preferable for a daytime scent,with the mint and tea coming across in a masculine fashion.If there is one criticism it would be that the longevity after application is somewhat lacking, and while it is an eau de toilette I still would have maybe expected re-application to not be required quite as soon each day. However this could be at least somewhat mitigated by the fact even the smaller sized bottle is 75ml, so at least there is a fair amount of it for your money at any bottle size purchased. Hugo Boss iced is a stylishly presented new fragrance for men which offers a fragrance suited to both day wear in the office or evening wear on a night out. The clear and main undertone of the scent is a true modern favourite, vetiver. This sets you up with your base fragrance with a smooth and almost sultry appeal that works all day. Next comes the lighter top and middle tones, citrus and mint to back the "Ice" part of the name. These two notes work surprisingly well together and are a very clean combination. More subtle hints of juniper are noticed at first application, but tend to drop away sooner than the other notes.Overall this is a really pleasing fragrance that will get compliments in all situations,with the only negative (or trade off for the subtlety factor) is the longevity of the scent, which I have found to wear off within a couple of hours, regardless of being indoors or outdoors or active at all. Worthy of the four out of five I've awarded this fragrance, it has all day, year round appeal if you are happy to re apply when the scent wears out. After being a lifelong fan of Hugo Boss fragrances and reading about their new incarnation of the ever popular HUGO, I just had to give it a try.Upon receiving the product my first impression was very interesting, loved the packaging and colour and finish of this new metallic silver bottle.First impressions of the fragrance itself however were not so great. I could't get past the somewhat overpowering minty scent, and although it did have staying power (could still smell it at the end of the day after just one quick spray) I just wasn't getting anything from it but mint.I thought I would be persistent however and have been using it almost daily since then as surely it had more to offer,and so it did! Even on the second use I was beginning to pick up on the woody and citrus notes and throughout the day you can almost notice it developing and the different levels coming out as if it were the first time using it, this is such a complex and great fragrance and truly is now one of my daily go-to's. After receiving HUGO Iced I can delightfully announce that I am extremely happy with the product. The overall appearance of the product had a clean finish. The silver bottle made me think 'expensive product'. After wearing the product a few times to work places and out to town, I am happy with the length of time it stays on my body but feel that it could last longer. Although it is not over powering, the smell will still be as distinctive as it was when you sprayed it onto your body. The fragrance is absolutely spot on. When I first smelt the product, i thought it had a lemon hint to it, but that quickly subsides and the true smells take over. I didn't get the smell of mint as such,but more of a distinctive smell. It is a very fresh and vibrant fragrance - definitely one to be worn over the summer.I am so happy with this product, the only negative point about this product is that you may need to top up on more after a few hours as it can loose its scent quite quickly. It has a lot of flavourful scents, such as mint, citric fruits and quit smokey. This leads to an overall crisp, slightly bitter, almost 'Green' scent but a positive scent, that is intriguing and smells incredibly fresh.The mint makes it an invigorating scent, and when used in the morning, can awaken the senses. As time goes on, the scents change towards a tea and orange scent, becoming less harsh, more mellow and sweeter as the day goes on. 12 hours after one spray, you still get the occasional whiff of the orange and tea smell.As the scent is unlike other aftershaves I own, several people commented positively on the product, intrigued by what it was as it is - to quote one female friend - 'an aftershave different to what every guy seems to wear'.Overall,the scent is different to the standard cedar scent popular over the last decade, and is a very nice summery alternative, that is cool, and has interesting notes.
