No discernible reduction of sharpness. Small increase in contrast in sky and cloud (desirable), reducing haze in sky, but also increases contrast in light and shadow around trees (less desirable), slight overall darkening (shot at dusk). Difference just discernable. Overall good value as protects lens and works.Tested on digital mirrorless 16MP camera with old M39 Zeiss 50mm lens
