The Hoya Fusion One CPL is described by Hoya as having high light transmission.The advantage of this the you only lose 1 maybe 1 1/2 stops of light, which makes it very versatile, I even use mine indoors and take portraits with it to get rid of specular highlights. Polarisation requires you to be at 90 degree angle to the Sun or at the correct angle to the reflected surface you want to remove.If you stand facing or away from the Sun they wont work.Stronger CPLs are available if you can handle the light loss, it's horses for courses.I like mine and find it does what I want and outdoors I will leave it on.It stacks ok onto my UV filter with no vignetting. I have a 25mm to 400 mm lens.

18 coating layers cut reflection and improve light transmission. low profile prevents vignette.
