I bought this tap, and have it replaced 2 times.The first time I installed it, then next two times it has been installed by a grohe engineer. So I would like to think that rules out an installation issue.Each has developed a leak/ over time, at the bottom of the tap, where the tap meets the surface of the sink. The leak occurs, when you run the tap hot, then it stops, which tends to imply an expansion seal issue.When the taps are initially instally, they have normally behaved for a while, then have developed this fault.The rest of my house, is Grohe products, shower mixers, taps, shower heads etc. This is only Grohe product I would say to avoid.I have had this tap for 2 - 3 years now.The one positive,

Deducting two stars because the description does not mention that the tap comes with European 3/8" flexible tails as opposed to 1/2" that is the UK standard. It’s in the drawing. But nowhere else on the listing. You'd need a 1/2" (UK) female to 3/8" (EUR) male reducer for it to fit your standard isolating off valve that's under your sink. And this being the UK, none of the useless overpriced DIY stores sell the damn thing and you'd have to order it online or get it from a specialist.It wasn't a simple plug and play kind of thing, as I'd hoped. I'm going to have to wait for the adapters to arrive to to install the tap and will update the review if there are any issues. It looks great in "supersteel".
