The Brita 3020 Dolce Water Filter Tap replaced the Ikea installed mixer tap in my Kitchen. Straight up the design of this tap is far superior with the water flowing down rather than at an angle there is far less splash. If your worktop is made from a difficult to work with material (e.g. stone) you might have difficulty installing the tap if the existing down pipe hole doesn't fit/ match. Brita have diagrams on their website with measurements if you need to check. You also need some room on top for mixer tap as it pulls away as well as swings and you need some room for it; my tap just fit without hitting the splash back guard.Besides some space for the tap you also need some room under your sync to fit a fairly large filter - it can be mounted horizontally or vertically if you have a shelf. The last component is a countdown clock; something Brita ought to make part of their website or a phone app then reminds you to biu a filter rather than a single function clock they ship with each tap. Before installation I looked at my pipes and decided based on all the plastic pipes I decided to use the installation service rather than risk and accidental break. Oraganising the installation was very easy being a matter of a phone call. I was given a 4 hour window; luckily for me the plumber came (on a Saturday) right at the start of the window at 8am. They swapped out the existing tap in about 45 minutes; tidying up after himself and was gone in under an hour. The elephant in the room is the filter cartridges don't last forever and are quite expensive. The last step in the install was testing the water hardness of my water supply; and the hardness was low enough that the cartridges should last 90 days; they can last 30-90 days depending on the hardness of your water. Thanks to the chlorine I was a heavy drinker of bottled water; which isn't required thanks to the filtered tap water; though the water from the filter is close to room temperature so you might still want a cold water jug.Turning on the mixer tap you notice the nice feel of the handle; the outlet has a nice aeration which saves some water flow and a separate outlet for filtered water. The head swivels smoothly but is quite loose so be careful when its running not to knock it out of the sink. There is a separate tap to release filtered water; from a clean outlet (there is an image of this running.) My tap water has a noticeable chlorine taste (I live in an apartment building that has to treat its water supply) the Brita tap seems to do a good job reducing the smell and the cost of running this is lower than my water habit. The Dolce 3020 looks nice; the installation isn't onerous and lets you get cleaner water the way you were conditioned to get water from childhood - out of the tap.

I was fortunate enough to get this on the Vine programme and was have been able to take full advantage of it.It is a nicely made mixer tap which is 3 - way.The left hand is labelled BRITA and is for the filtered water. The right hand is 2 way and is for hot and regular cold. All the fittings brackets and the BRITA water filter bottle (lasts 6 months) is included in the box.So if you're skilled or confident you could replace your existing kitchen sink taps for this. Bear in mind, this is a mid range tap, pay more and you'll get a higher end piece from BRITA.Fitting is probably straight forward as even metal flex tubes are supplied. And all one has to do is fit the BRITA bottle to the flex tube leading and routed through to the BRITA labelled tap - so basically it is a regular tap and fits more or less the same as one.The water filter bottle can be placed on a ledge under the sink or clamped using a bracket supplied. The filter bottle has different levels of hardness which can be set and all is clearly explained (everything including fitting and replacement etc) in the excellent manual.Luckily, my box had the special FREE fitting from BRITA included with a voucher code. So all I had to do was call the number, promptly answered by a friendly (British) Agent, she took my details, address and voucher number and said I will receive a phone call the next day. The next day I received the phone call as expected, and was booked in for a slot in two days time. On the date the BRITA engineer arrived at 10am sharp and took but 10 minutes to install the filter and tap - all brilliantly done, simple, easy with excellent customer service. The water tastes lovely, as filtered water should and we use it for hot drinks, squash and drinking water and it's great as the kettle doesn't develop such limescale. All in all, excellently made equipment, easy to fit using the FREE excellent BRITA customer service - or by oneself, water filter is discreetly hidden, and lasts 6 months and is not expensive to replace.I am very happy, and I would buy this now I know how good it actually is!

I bought this to replace an Ideal Standard Cleartap water filter mixer tap that I’d fitted 10 years ago. The old tap served me very well, but had started to leak and the filters were getting increasingly difficult to source. The Brita tap seems like a good replacement as filters are easy to get hold of and I get the impression that Brita won’t disappear any time soon. When the new tap arrived it was supposed to come with a water hardness testing strip secured to a selofane wrapper covering the user manual. However the manual in my kit didn’t have a wrapper, so not testing strip. After several emails to Brita Customer Service they sent me a testing strip, which showed the water in my mains supply is classed as hard.I’m not sure yet what impact this will have on the filter’s lifetime.Fitting was straight forward. The biggest issue was that the backplate used to provide stability for the tap when mounted on a steel sink wouldn’t fit. It’s kind of a large curved triangle shape and there simply wasn’t enough room for it at the mounting hole on my sink. We got round this by giving up on the backplate and using a large metal washer to do the same job instead. Fitting was done in around 45 minutes, including removing the old tap.Now it’s installed the tap looks good and so far is working well after a couple of weeks of operation. The only thing I’m not sure about is the robustness of the spout where it goes into the main body of the tap. It seems to be quite flimsy and waggles quite freely. I guess I’ll just to avoid being too vigorous when rotating the spout. Other than that, so far so good ......

I bought a similar Brita 3-way tap for our previous house and it was excellent. It kept its looks and worked well. This one seems just as good and is easy for a competent DIYer to install. I can't yet speak for its longevity, of course. A 3-way tap is much neater and more convenient than a separate jug and the P1000 cartridges seem to do a better job than jug cartridges, especially on limescale - we were in a very hard water area before but you wouldn't have known it from looking in the kettle. The price of this tap is about 2/3 of that of my last one, too.Two cautions:1. The cartridges are expensive and have to be replaced every 3 months. Replacing them is straightforward but you'll have to pay £30+ every time (worth it,in my view, although it does seem a bit of a rip-off).2. If you have a water softener and want a filtered hard water drinking supply with softened sink supply, this tap can't do it. There is only one cold supply to the tap. The way round that, or at least one way round it, is to install an independent drinking water tap alongside your existing sink tap instead of buying this.TIP: The cheapest way of buying P1000 cartridges is directly from the Brita website where there seems to be a permanent 4 for 3 offer; that makes them considerably cheaper than any I've found on Amazon or eBay.

This is a stop gap review. The unit seems really well made with a nice smooth resistance on the taps and a good solid feel to the whole unit. It comes with all the bits and is in standard shiny chrome. I have not yet been able to get it fitted so will update with the details of the filtered water etc and lovely descaled kettles in due course!UpdateWell it took a while for brita to call back and the. A lead time of nearly two weeks. This is still well within the timescale promised, I'm just a little impatient!!The plumber was friendly, professional and did a quick and very neat job. The water is noticeably clearer and fragrance free, it's only when I do a taste test, as I still cannot resist doing even now (!),there is such a chlorine smell I never noticed before on the plain water. Kettle has stayed all shiny inside and cut flowers seem to last longer. I feel this really lives up to expectations, just waiting to see how long the cartridge really last in reality as they are expensive, but I suspect already I will justify the. As worth it......

To start with, if you don't do your own plumbing, this comes supplied with a free fitting offer available if purchased before 31/1/14. Good start. It has a tester to see if your water is hard or very hard as there are 2 settings on the tap filter to cope with your water type. If washing up etc with hot and cold, you do not use the filter. But when making a cold drink, or filling the kettle you operate the Brita branded lever for filtered water. (We have used a Brita jug for drinks and the kettle for donkey's years and wouldn't be without it. We live in Dorset which is a chalk area. For the first 3 weeks of a new jug filter the water is clear and you get no scale or milkyness in your kettle. For the last week, you notice scale appear until you change the cartridge). Hopefully we will get 6 months clear water in our kettle now with this tap filter. Much more convenient having filtered water on tap. The tap is smart and not dissimilar to our existing tap. We have always found filtered water to be much better tasting, especially in Tea and Coffee.

i got this filter aswell as another and im very pleased with them. the £30 filters are well worth it when considering just how much i spend on bottled water, and also the fact that since its easily acessible on the sink tap, everyone in the family actually does use it, unlike the water bottles which the kids through sheer laziness often dont bother to pour a glass from.aswell as that the taps do feel strong, im not so sure they should be such a shiny chrome which would get dull after all that water splashes on it, it should be less shiny so that this doesnt happen as much.so far the taps are running great, my only concern is that they wont last very long,my house seems to be cursed with taps dripping even when we dont over tighten them in my home, and considering the mechanism in this is more complicated im not hoping for much. the taps met what i was expecting and im pleased, although it doesnt do anything to amaze me so its a solid 4 stars.

Our tap water tastes like swimming pool water. Sometimes it's as if someone's snuck turps in to my glass of water (my wife promises she'd rather push me down the stairs than poison me).As I'm a plumber I usually buy £30 tap's off eBay and change them after a couple of year when they're knackered so am not used to spending this much.Quality feels like a £80-£100 tap. It was very very easy to fit and the fixing is very sturdy.UK adaptors are supplied but a little more thought could have been put in to them as they aren't great. Some PTFE tape helped matters. I'd rather have purchased a proper adaptor but I don't mind botching my own stuff. The filtered water passed the taste challenge. The flow rate and pressure is very good, however I'd recommend not turning the tap all the way on as I reckon the slower the water goes through the filter the better it'll work. I'm a rubbish plumber so I might be wrong :-)

Ok, a very good tap, so far. I have read mixed reviews in the past about them leaking, but mine is fine so far, but its only been installed just over a week. I do have one significant gripe though - I ordered this expecting it to be a fully UK compliant tap - it came from Italy with European sized connections which meant that I had to spend a further £20 in a local plumbers merchants to get the parts necessary to connect from a Euro spec to a UK spec. There is also a slight concern in that even my specialist plumbers merchants, when they looked at the tap, advised that they wouldn't stock spares or replaccement parts if anything failed - this is very poor - whilst Amazon can sell goods from international retailers, surely as an item for sale to the UK market the product should be spec'd for a UK consumers - particularly with plumbing items where sizes and connections vary between Europe and the UK?

This tap is wonderful! It is so much more convenient to just get filtered water out of the tap compared to filling a Britta jug which we used to do before. We have young children who love squash so to just get filtered water from the tap for them is great. We've replaced a Britta Kettle and Britta water jug with this tap. The filters arent the cheapest compared to the smaller filters we used in the kettle / jug mentioned above, however the convenience it brings to not change them so often is worth it to us.Installation was fairly straighforward, I enlisted the help of somebody who knew what they were doing, if I didnt have them I'd have probably hired a plumber for peace of mind /avoid damaging anything. The tap feels really well made, its solid and heavy which I like. In my opinion it looks great, very modern and looks fantastic in our kitchen.

Great tap, bought it due to my American Fridge (which dispensed filtered water) breaking and needed an easy way to dispense filtered water and didn't want to replace the fridge. The tap is perfect, good quality tap and easy to fit, I was a little dubious given the comments regarding the European fittings, but I am fortunate enough to have a brother who is a plumber, even so and despite me relaying the customer feedback regarding fitting, it was quick and easy to fit, he said I could have easily done it myself as everything I needed came in the box. His advice to anyone fitting one themselves is the instructions say the connectors are to be hand tight, just make sure it's as tight as you can get it by hand, and when in position, give them one last check before switching the water back on. I would definitely recommend this product, worth every penny.

this is a complete installation kit of a brita filter and tap. it comes complete with everything you would need to install including flexi pipes ect. this is very good quality, the tap itself is great and solid. the installation would probably need to be done by someone with some experience of diy but is not overly difficult to do and didnt take very long(under an hour in our case). it is a lovely brilliant way to have both filtered water and ordinary hot and cold water from the tap.the only reason this gets 4 stars instead of 5 is the cost of the filters, it is currently twice the price of the equivalent maxtra filters i use but im sure this will come down as more people use them

As a family we tend to drink tap water as opposed to bottled and for this reason we decided to purchase the Brita Tap.The tap came with the offer of free fitting. On delivery of the tap we contacted Brita on the number provided. They arranged for the fitter to attend our home and fit the system, which was done quickly and without any problems or fuss. Since fitted the tap and filter is used daily, it is a pleasure to use and drink the improved water. I would suggest every house should have one. The cost of the replacement filters may appear expensive but they work out a lot cheaper than buying bottle water over the same period. An excellent product which I would recommend.

This tap comes with the offer of free installation included in the price but I chose to install it myself. All the parts required are included and it was a very straightforward plumbing job, well within the capabilities of the average handyperson. The tap itself seems to be well manufactured and the filtered water is excellent.A cartridge is supposed to last about 90 days and are currently £43.75 each from Amazon although a bit of research may find them cheaper elsewhere.I will try to edit this review when it's time to change the cartridge and provide details of how long 1 cartridge does last.

I have had a couple of these filter taps units. First tap suffered from a failure of the plastic tube within the neck supplying the filtered water, but it was within the warranty period, and having been supplied directly from Amazon, they provided a replacement without issue. Very happy with their service, to the extent I felt confident to order another for a relative. Basically a very good way of filtering excess hardness & chemicals from chlorinated tap water. Replacement filters can be found at good discounts from High Street retailers from time to time if you keep your eyes open.
