Hasbro - what have you done? Where are the classic Guess Who portraits I remember from childhood? Who are these funky looking caricatures? Why Hasbro, WHY?Etc.So, this is Guess Who, same as it's always been but with new character portraits. I prefer the old ones because they were part of my childhood although I do appreciate the improved diversity of the current edition - could still be a lot better though. So long as my guy Eric is still in the mix I can accept it. (and he is).My children however do not give a stuff. They are perfectly happy flipping the plastic hinges and asking each other about eye colour and head wear.So the budding Guess Who player has a choice: accept the passing of timeand buy this version of the classic board game or scour online auctions and charity shops for a complete in box vintage set with the classic art work.Either way it all comes down to flipping plastic flaps and eliminating people based solely on their appearance - no way to live your life but still a fun board game.I was sent this to review and I'm glad to say that it hasn't lost any of it's appeal. It's just as much fun and ultimately just as repetitive as it has been since 1979.

It's the classic game which has blessed and tormented families for generations. There's a new lick of paint, as there always is every few years, but the idea is unchanging. Two players have a draught of faces laid in front of them, and of these there is a specific person whom the other person has to guess. You're only allowed to ask questions which are answered with a Yes or No. Does he have brown hair - Yes. Is she wearing a hat - No. Is it a man - I... I don't know.If you want to raise observant, questioning future detective kids, this is great. I've always found the fun doesn't last too long though.

My daughters (aged 10 & 7) are hooked on this game. It gets played with most days after school and they actually play together quite nicely!. The game has been around long enough for most adults to know what it's all about but if not have a good look at the product's images on the left hand side of the screen, and about halfway down the page is some very good detail about how it's played and the type of questions children can ask (answers are always yes or no).I do like this desktop version, and when played at a table it makes cheating quite difficult!

I’m a lover of keeping things original and I know there’s other versions of guess who but this one is definitely the best and what I loved growing up with. My son first discovered this in hospital and was soon his main choice of game so needed one for home. The only thing to watch is the character cards because once they bend guessing the characters gets easier so handle with care! If you really want to garentee keeping them perfect I suggest laminating them (must add it’s not that the cards are week but that kids can be heavy handed!!)

Wonderful classic game that is easy to play fro all ages from 5 upwards, especially good for getting kids of different ages to play to get her. Simple to understand so easy to play .Basically who can't guess ? Yes it's more plastic than it used to be, easily it's the same for all the classic games. However it's lasted 30 years plus as a game and this versions updates are newer designs to be more reflective of changes in fashion, culture .Worth a purchase as definitely appealing to all ages and enjoyed by all .

Very easy to set up to use and some new pictures to make it a bit more interesting. I dont know though, it just doesnt feel as sturdy as the original game and feels a bit flimsy overall. I have found this to be the same with a few retro games I have bought for the kids recently such as connect 4. Bit of a shame really as the kids do love the games but it takes a bit of the shine off them as they are certainly not the same quality that I remember them to be.

Great game, lots of fun and both my 6yo and 3yo love it. However, read the instructions about how to place the cards first!! We set it up without reading instructions and the cards fell out at the slightest touch. Then my husband actually bothered to read the instructions, placed the cards properly and they are much more secure now - they rarely fall out.Sounds so obvious, but it seems the cause of most of the negative reviews so I had to comment.

This is an updated version of the original guess who game. The pictures are brighter and there are some new names. It is still quite flimsy and needs to be handled carefully. Scoring pegs have been added, which are quite small and could easily be lost. It would be a good birthday or Christmas present. It makes a refreshing and quiet change from battery operated noisy toys!! I like it and so does my 8 year old nephew.

What more could you ask for, a who dunnit for kids and adults alike. This timeless games has been around for decades and never ages. There are updated versions but you just have to love the classic version it you are old enough to remember the original from the early 80's. That age before electronics was great. don't get me wrong, I love my technology but have to admit that there are better ways to spend your time.

Like this a lot. Tried it with my two year old. She asks "does yours have eyes (/nose/ears)?" so probably best to stick to age guidelines better than me. Good for the five year old. "Is the person brown?" doesn't work with either, despite being from a mixed race family. They think they're all brown. Interesting to see how they change developmentally with how they view other people.

This game made Christmas Day for us this year. The good thing about it is we could sit side by side on the sofa, as we only needed to keep the card with our person on it hidden. So it was a fun, relaxing game that didn't involve having to sit across the table from one another. I played the original guess who game when I was young and this is just as much fun.

Great game but rubbish quality. Cheap and flimsy, hinge mechanism is loose and not fluid causing misalignment my kids struggle to deal with. Plastic stand ups regularly fall down of their own accord. Self assembly with cardboard cutouts amplify the substandard construction. Buy the great game just not this version . Not worth the money

Really this is a classic game. Quite a fast game to play with a young child and fun. I bought this for my daughter some time ago, she is 8 and still enjoys playing it that I decided to get it for my nephew. I would say the age range is probably from age 5 upwards. One of those games that are fun all year round, not just at Christmas.

Great game. Bought for my 5 year olds birthday and she loves it. So great having all the games we had as children. Good quality, you have to put it together yourself so wasn't instant fun but didn't take long. Good value for money, seems good quality and has held up to her little brother trying to take it apart.

I bought it for my four year old granddaughter. it is the first game she has played with over and over. She is thinking about the questions she will ask and noticing the differences in the characters.she loves the fact that her mum and dad played it when they were children.really pleased I chose it for her.
