This playnest seems nice enough for my baby who is 5 months and requires support to sit up. He enjoys being slid around and as he usually hates being put down, he has been fine with spending time playing in this playnest.Pros:*Baby can be put in this and left to play, which is good if your baby hates lying down in a playgym / cot etc*Unlikely to tip over if fully inflated so baby is relatively safe*Can be slid around using rope handle*Colourful design (can be a con as baby may not be able to see other colourful toys which are put in this playnest)*Easy to assemble*Has a few bits and bobs attached on the edges for baby to play with*The sitting space is reasonably sized if baby is able to situp by himself*Price is good in case your baby only uses it for a few weeksCons*Not sufficient back support for babies who can't sit up. They would be leaning backwards and would need to stretch their legs for support but the leg space in that case seems quite small. Putting a cushion behind baby's back to help them sit up may be useful in this case*Toys likely to fall off the edges or into the sitting space due to shape of playnest. It would be great if one could attach them properly*If toys are multicoloured they blend into the colourful pattern, making it more difficult (at least for my baby) to see them and pick them upOverall I am satisfied with this and think that my little one will play in it more, once he can sit up unsupported. For now a cushion behind his back has been helpful .

Great purchase for my baby, he is 9 weeks old and quite likes being propped up in this playnest. He is too young to sit up in it yet, but he can lie on his back with his upper back and neck supported by the ring so that he can see a bit more of the world around him - for young babies you do not fully inflate the ring, instead you kind of half-inflate it, leaving it a bit squishy so that young necks and backs are not too highly propped up. I use this ring with his baby-gym toy, i place the ring under his babygym so that he can see the dangly toys and flashing lights of his gym. The ring on its own probably would not keep a young baby entertained for long, but you can use other toys and games to help keep them happy. It is useful alone in knowing that baby will be safe and supported inside the ring - and as all mums know sometimes you just need a quick 30 seconds to go to the toilet or make a drink etc knowing that baby is laying somewhere safe! I can see this toy being useful for months to come. It is very colourful with little flaps that rustle, a squeaky duckbill, a tassell pony tale and squishy pigs nose for older babies to play with. Cover comes off so that it can be washed. Nest can also be easily deflated when you want to pack it away.

I’ve used the Galt Playnest with both of my children and I think it is a great product. Essentially, it is an inflatable ring with a fabric cover. It acts as a support to help babies sit, or somewhere safe for them to play whilst they are at the stage where they can sit, but are not completely stable or have the tendency to topple over! The fabric has lots of different textures and has crinkly patches as well as a ducks beak which squeaks. The cover is machine washable and despite having been through the wash numerous times it shows no signs of fading or bobbling. My son is currently 3 months and loves spending time in it. He seems to enjoy the different colours and his face lights up when he hears the crinkly noise. My daughter used the playnest up until she was around 8 months old, at which point she started climbing out head first, so I put it away just to prevent her hitting her head on the wooden floor. The only negative I can think of is that it takes up a fair bit of room. Of course you can deflate it, but it’s not really convenient to be deflating/inflating all the time.I would definitely recommend this, we have definitely had our money’s worth out of it.

I ummed and ahhed about buying this - I didn't have one with my first child, did I really need one this time...?I'm very pleased I brought it in the end, it's been fab, my baby is just about to turn 6 months, he's had this for a good 6 weeks or so. He loves it.I was worried it would take up too much space but it doesn't, it's a good size. He's safe and comfortable in it, he can't fall over and bump his head etc.I can see him still using this for quite some time yet.It comes in a fairly small box as it is inflatable, so it's easy and compact for storing away for any future babies! The cover washes well and dries fast.My baby loves the pictures and the little bits for him to play with on it.He happily sits in here with his toys - meaning they are always within his reach.I had contemplated buying a bumbo or a snug but they seem much more restrictive, the play nest still allows him freedom to move and aids him in learning to sit up, he sometimes sits unaided in it, but as he's tires or topples he's supported almost instantly.Love it, very pleased with our purchase.

My 4 month old spends a lot of time in this as he's comfortable and has space for his toys around him without them rolling off out of reach. He's also more upright than on his play mat, which is great as he can look around the room or watch me doing the housework. The only thing I wish it did better is to also support him in more of a sitting position. He can sit up propped up with pillows or on an armchair or baby snug but he rolls back into the position shown in the picture when he's in this. Nevertheless, he is comfortable and safe and it's the only place he will stay for a long time at the moment without getting bored I'm sure will get plenty more use out of it when he's a little steadiersitting up.I've only dropped a star because of the slight lack of sitting up support and I also think it's a bit expensive for what it is at full price. I bought mine second hand at a car boot sale for £5 which I think is great value as I'm sure I will sell mine on and get my money back.

I was really excited to give this as a fathers day gift even though our twins were over 6 months. Because they were not yet able to sit unaided I thought this would be a fun interactive toy.It is definitely big enough for a child up to nearly 12 months and they can play with toys in the space in front, however; although our babies enjoy the textures and sounds it was not too long before they figured how to get out which resulted in someone banging their head on the floor. Also when they were shuffling around, our babies sometimes got stuck in an uncomfortable position and I had to sit them up again or take them out.Overall I would place an 8 month or younger guideline.I like the feature that you can half inflate the ring for younger babies and that the cover is removable but I wouldn't be comfortable leaving our babies unattended in this.I wish I had discovered this sooner but it isn't used so often now.

I'd have been lost without this. It's been a real help with supporting my daughter from 5-6 months with her sitting. She was able to sit, but in the early stages, would fall back occasionally and this playnest saved some bumped heads. It also helped strengthen her tummy muscles - I think it contributed to her being able to sit unaided quite quickly. It's also a good place where she can 'hang out' with us and have some toys with her - something different to her bouncy chair. Now she's 7 months, she can turn herself around in it, lean over the edges and reach for things outside the nest. She recently mastered crawling and the playnest became somewhere we could contain her for a bit!The quality is good and the cover is easy to wash. The activities around the edge keep her amused too. Great value!

I ordered this for my daughter after first hiring one from a local toy-library. Wasn't sure if she would like it as I thought it might be a bit boring as it is just a ring... However my 15 week old daughter absolutely loves it! Way more popular than her bouncy chair or play mat. She kicks the sides and sits in it for ages playing with other toys. I can sit her in it safely and pop it on the bed or floor and she will happily entertain herself which leaves me free to do a few bits of housework or get ready in the morning. I have already recommended this to friends and they too have purchased one and their babies who have also enjoyed it very much.It is easy to blow up and lightweight to carry. It has a handle which makes it even easier. It goes everywhere with us! A really great purchase.

Severely disappointed. Ordered twice, one as a replacement, products both times shoved behind my wheelie bin, causing great damage to the product - no outer box for protection. The item had fallen from behind the wheelie bin and was in front of my front door - for anyone to see - or steal. Ordered a replacement, and asked for an outer box for protection and to stick address labels to - as this is a present. Instructions not followed and yet again shoved behind my wheelie bin. Unacceptable service for any company - let alone one I am paying for a 'prime' service.Disgusted to say the least.Product itself I have used myself for my own daughter, sit me up ring is fantastic and a must have for any family.Kept my little girl safe and happy, with the interactive features around the ring.

I bought this play ring when our baby was about six months old. It was great for popping her in to play, especially whilst I was in the shower (she was also in the bathroom at the time) - it is large enough that I could pop toys in with her and she also enjoyed playing with the textured materials about the surface of the ring.. I had an excellent run of using it to keep her in one place until at about 9 months when she became a master of escape and able to climb out of it. I have now taken it away from her as I'm afraid she will tip it over and hurt herself. It may well make a reappearance at a later date as my friend's little one (18 months) uses it as a pretend boat when he comes to our house.Due to it being inflatable, it is easily stored away. I would recommend.

Purchased this for our 6 month old and she loves it! Does exactly what we wanted (e.g. provide a safe space for her to sit up and play) and was very easy to inflate. Have not had any of the problems with the inflatable tube that some people have previously mentioned here in the lower-star ratings. The reason I'm giving it a four star rather than five star rating is because the fabric on the inside of the playnest (where the baby sits) started to split at the seams after only two weeks! It was an easy fix with needle and thread, and our little girl does like to move around a lot, even when sitting, but still thought it was a bit poor after such a short amount of time

I can’t recommend this enough. We have had it since our baby was 4 months and she’s always enjoyed it but over the last month it’s been absolutely brilliant. She’s is 6 months and has been indpendantly sitting for a couple of weeks and we happily leave her in it knowing if she wobbles she’s safe. She plays with the crinkly bits so far or I line up her toys on the edge so she has a choice. We use it if we are cooking or cleaning as well and she loves to watch us just get on with grown up stuff. I think it’s going to be great until she can crawl out of it, and even then I am sure it’ll be fun for her in totally different ways. We are honestly chuffed with it!

We bought this playnest for our baby daughter for Christmas and she loves it. She's only two months old so is still unable to sit up unaided but she's awake for longer periods now and gets bored lying in her cot. She loves the new perspective she gets when in the nest, plus the colours and features are great at grabbing her attention. I'm sure she'll be spending lots of time in there and the ring can be inflated further for when she starts to sit up on her own, providing her with a safe place to play. The fully removable cover is a big advantage too as I can put it in the washing machine if there are any accidents. I would definately recommend this product.

I bought this for my 3 month old. It's lovely & colourful. He loves the different textures & noises - however he will probably make better use of it once he's actually able to sit up. I've found it quite good for tummy time because all the colours distract him for a period & make him work a bit longer. I love the fact it's easily washable - the ring took quite a bit of blowing up - it would be a lot easier with a pump. It's also quite secure - you can nip to the loo & know that baby will be safe in the nest for a few minutes. I probably would have given 5 stars if the middle bit on the floor had more padding - could be a bit cold/hard if on hard flooring.

Love this play nest! I brought it for my 5 month old who can't sit up by himself yet but can support his head. We are currently in lockdown due to the Coronavirus and after 6 weeks stuck in our flat he has become very fussy and bored so I was searching the internet for some new toys to keep him busy and I went for this. I absolutely love it! He plays in it and lays back in it and relaxes. The product is good quality and the case is so colourful and interesting to look at. I have found he sits up better unaided in it because he has support all round. We've only had it a couple of days but have got so much use out of it already, it's great!
