This was an upgrade from an S300 - and that was because no new software was being created for it (I'm using a Mac). This was the top model in the range and frankly, does just what it says on the tin. Bear in mind there are no TWAIN drivers - but because my main use is for converting paper documents to searchable .pdfs, that wasn't an issue for me. I swore by the last model - this one is just bigger, prettier and fast. Fast, fast, fast ! To date, never had any issues and no paper jams. I love it. Recommended.

Paperless office; everything scanned. Old ScanSnap 1500 worn so got this while waiting for spares for the old one. Easy to set up and configure and is fast with good quality scans. Had an initial problem (which turned out to be a corrupted windows installation - nothing to do with the scanner) identified rapidly by support technician.

Left it a few months before reviewing to have time to fully test it. Excellent machine that scans quickly producing excellent images with very few feed problems. Has saved me a lot of time and only regret is not ditching my flatbed scanner earlier. Pretty easy to set up.

So far can't fault the scanner. Sitting right next to my keyboard quiet as a mouse and equally as fast. Just one thing like to find out how to change the resolution.Otherwise excellent.
