This is one of those rare tech purchases where the product doesn't only meet your expectations, but exceeds them.Generally duplex scanners with ADF cost £150-£300. I decided to take a bit of a punt on this. After all, surely a small, portable, USB-powered scanner couldn't really be up to much, could it?In fact it's a brilliant bit of kit. Don't let the size fool you. It scans A4, both sides simultaneously, taking a few seconds per sheet. The ADF function works better than averagely well, with few misfeeds. (If you've not used an Auto Document Feeder before, it means you can put in up to 10 sheets at once (perhaps a few more) and the scanner will automatically pull them through in sequence,

So pleased with this purchase, I've only owned this product for a month or so but it's made the scanning process so much nicer than the scanning process on any multifunction printer. This unit straightens anything scanner, scans both sides and does OCR on the scans so that I can search by content in each file. As soon as I get a letter or a piece of correspondence, I scan it to a pdf and catalogue it then disregard the hard copy. Goodbye to storing any paper for the rest of my life! This product has made going paperless such a breeze. The product also features a 10 page ADF which I rarely need to use, as I scan content as I receive it but makes multiple page letters a breeze to digitize.

Didn't need a big expensive scanner with ultra resolution or picture perfect colours and this one fitted the bill perfectly. Scans QSL cards (imagine postcards) both sides, there is a sort of feeder stacking ability that works fine but you need to make sure the cards don not stick together when it pulls the next one in. I'd say for the price it is perfect (I have used it with an iMAC (running Yosemite) and a Windows 10 laptop). After about 5000 cards the grip rollers slipped a bit so did what had on an older HP printer and refreshed them by allowing it to run slightly against a dry plastic kitchen scouring pad. Then it works fine. That is also does up to A4 (there is a set of sliders that go from business card width up to A4)

in my tech life i used so many different scanner, but this one is my favourite:* it's compact* easy to use* and good value for money definitelyi live in a small house where i don't have enough space so i was looking for a compact scanner without all the drama of connecting to mains and having massive desk. So after a intense research i decided to buy this one and i am writing this review after a prolonged use and i can suggest anyone is looking for a portable scanner this one is one of the best.pro:* lots of scanning option EX: receipt, bank card, even odd shaped paper. NO PROBLEM* no power cord required.

From my headline, it is clear that this is my secondary scanner.I bought this because I am trying to digitise all my paperwork, while my other Canon flatbed scanner (Lide 700F) does the job very well, nonetheless scanning 1 side at a time and keep opening and closing the scanner lid is slow and painful, so I invested in this document scanner.Positive: very quick scan and love the duplex function and software is good tooNegative: scanned image quality is not comparable to my flatbed scanner, but for document is sufficient.Overall I am happy with my purchase, it is not the cheapest, but not the most expensive either. And Canon always offer good driver and compatibility, so I am happy.

I replaced my old (nearly 20 years) flatbed scanner with this Canon mobile scanner. It can't scan large items but I rarely need to do this. The feed mechanism seems to pick up most paper or card easily with the odd jam now and then. However with a litte gentle persuasion it can usually be fed through. Good control software included and as it's a mobile scanner no power supply is needed, as it is powered by 5V through the USB cable supplied pluggedi to any USB port.

A remarkable piece of kit. Everyone with a computer should have one. I can load up twenty pages of double sided printing and voila, in seconds it is on my printer or PDF on my desktop. Does other things with pictures that I have not tried but the quality so far is what you would expect of Canon. Highly recommended for office as well as on the road. Well packed and safely delivered in very good time.

Little bit noisy when feeding pages. Scan quality was really good. Construction is very solid but downside of that is weight is little bit on heavy side for carrying this in laptop bag all the time. Still very portable. Price is excellent for portable scanner with dual side & color scanning and automatic document feeder. Highly recommended!!!

Im scanning all my families photo's (no mean feat) but this scanner is making the job SO EASY. It is fast, flexible in user interface and very easy to re-configure the scanning templates. As a bonus, it also scans duplex in a single scan, so if you have notes on the reverse of photo's, it's a dream. Can't recommend it enough.

Had this scanner a couple of years. My advice would be not to bother installing the drivers and software onto your computer, just use the software installed on the scanner as there are issue particularly with a Mac. Would highly recommend this scanner to anyone who wants to be mobile.

It's fantastic - it does exactly what it says it will. It's fast and silent. The OCR is pretty accurate and I'm gradually filling up Google Drive with scans of important letters as they arrive through the mail.

Very impressed with this scanner. Scans both sides of the page at the same time, can scan several pages into one document. Great purchase.It's so tiny so gives loads of room in my office for other stuff

Love it, scans brilliantly, value for money, pity tech support is not as high, nearly had to return it since they said they were not updating to Catalina, but then they did!Very happy with purchase.

Really pleased with this, faster than my big scanner, does both sides at once. Software a bit flaky, couldn't get it to work on my windows laptop but installed fine on the MacBook.

Super little scanner, sheets of paper feed in very easily and its perfect for copying documents. Previously used a scanner costing twice as much but I prefer this one.
