I bought this in order to use my Nikkor 24mm f1.8G on my Fuji X-E1. I knew the lens had excellent corner-to-corner sharpness as I've used it on 35mm film and it's one of my favourite lenses for such. The Fotodiox adapter is extremely well made, fits perfectly to both camera and lens, shift and aperture controls are v smooth and well-damped (although the throw of the latter is very short)Obviously you can't get precise aperture clicks so I just looked through the front of the lens and turned the ring until it looked about halfway stopped down. I didn't want to use fully stopped down because of diffraction.Contrary to my expectations, aperture-priority metering gave perfect results even with the lens fully shifted. It's not easy to focus a G lens manually, there's no infinity stop (although you'd be unwise to trust such with an adapter anyway) so it's worth taking great care over that. I assumed a stopped-down 24mm lens would get everything, I was wrong! I think probably it can focus beyond infinity, but if you're careful it'll be fine.Possibly the 20mm f1.8G would be an even better match for these purposes (= 30mm) but I like the "natural" perspective the 24mm gives. One caveat: the edge of the dedicated Nikon lens hood was just visible in some shots. Best leave it off, ditto filters. But for £84 this is a really good piece of kit. I haven't tried an actual shift lens on my Nikons but I don't see how they'd do a better job. And I'm not about to start shooting 4x5!

The Fotodiox Nikon to Fuji lens adapter allows Nikon lenses with aperture rings, to fit to Fuji's X system cameras (there is a different adapter or Nikon 'G' lenses). The reason I went for the more basic adapter is because I have plenty of older lenses and my newer Nikon lenses tend to be zooms, which are much bigger and heavier, so not really ideal for mounting on an X-E1.The basic idea is that by adding the adapter, you increase the flange distance between the camera and the lens and add system adapter to the camera (in this case the Nikon F mount). The system is really basic and works well. Everything works manually and you have to set the camera to work without lenses,as there are not contact points between the camera and adapter. Aperture is handled through lens and you have to manual focus (which isn't to hard, even at low apertures, with the X-E1 zoom and focus peaking ability). The build of the adapter is very good, it took me a few minutes to work out how to remove the lens (there is a round button, which I tried to push and pull (in fact you need to slide back to open the lens lock). I would suggest, that Fotodiox create a small video showing how unmount lens process and put it on their site.I have a small problem with importing the product Fotodiox were very good and refunded the extra money I had to pay very promptly after I raised the issue with them. All in all I am very pleased with the adapter.

I needed to use my Nikon lenses on my new Fujifilm X mount camera and in particular, my fast Nikon 50mm f/1.4 FX lens. This has worked out extremely well. The adapter connects firmly to my lens with little or no play, although I can remove the lens from it without trouble by sliding the lens mount lock BACKWARDS. The adapter then connects to the camera exactly as you would expect.I have been using this arrangement for several months without any issues. The lens operates in manual mode, but this has worked out very well on my Fujifilm X-T1 body. I have effectively got a Nikon quality 75mm lens. The image quality is excellent and I have been able to take clean sharp images with reasonable bokeh without feeling that this is a compromise.Even wide open at f/1.4 the lens/adapter arrangements gives solid results. The 50mm Nikon is a small lens so the balance is very acceptable, however, if you are planning to use any big lenses, you may find it more awkward to handle. The 56mm Fujifilm lens that I was previously planning to get has slipped way down my priority list as the only advantage it would convey is autofocus and perhaps improved balance. If you are not planning to shoot some kind of action or reportage photography, autofocus is no more than a nice-to-have. Great for your snaps, but for most other types of photography, manual focus is best.Definitely recommended.

Well made and a good fit. Be aware that this is a "Type 2" Fotodiox adapter, which means it has a flange behind the silver part which is designed to depress the auto locking pin on those M42 lenses that don't have an auto/manual switch. This made no difference to any of my M42 lenses, including 55mm and 35mm Pentax Takumars, until I tried a 50mm 1.4 Super-Multi-Coated Takumar. That lens has a wider tab which fouls the flange. The good news is that you can remove the flange (at least you can on mine), by unscrewing the three allen bolts that are there to adjust the angle of the mounted lens, removing the silver threaded mount, and then you can remove the black ring which forms the flange. The bad news is that this then leaves the back of the threaded silver part visible from inside the mount, which means it may reflect and cause loss of contrast.I could probably have played around with filing the ring down or painting the mount black, but I've opted to get hold of another mount without the flange (unfortunately, Fotodiox don't seem to sell the Type 1 anymore) just for the 50/1.4 Tak, and put the flange back on this for everything else.

Bought this adapter to use my Nikon 50 1.4d & 1.2ais lenses on my XE1.The adapter is well made and solid, it mounts quite tightly to my Nikon lenses but is an easier fit to the camera; it has no slop or play when is use. It is discrete and when mounted with a lens it looks good and does not look out of place. When using my Nikon 50 1.2ais the camera feels unbalanced and not pleasant to use because there is a lot of glass and metal in the 1.2ais and the adapter moves the lens further away from the camera, the 50 1.4d is lighter and easier to handle on the camera - although, still slightly unbalanced. Both lenses have aperture rings, smooth focus rings and work fine on the XE1; if you intend to use Nikon G type lenses with this adapter they will not work properly because you lose aperture control. The adapter looses a star for a couple of small machining marks and the lever to remove your lens is quite stiff and is not smooth.Overall, the adapter is good value for money and generally well made.

Used for adapting Nikkor lenses to Fuji XE2 camera. Works well for old lenses with aperture rings, and newer G style without. Seems to be well made, no rattles or shakes, and lenses have no play once attached, snug fit. There are 5 (uncalibrated) aperture positions marked on the blue ring, going from wide open to fully closed - but you have to work out what these mean in real f/No terms by metering with your lens. Blue aperture ring is flush with rest of adapter body, so not easy to change aperture just by touch - maybe with practice it will get better. No instructions supplied - why would you need them?Except there is a strange additional lever next to the blue ring with 2 positions - but I cannot figure out what this is meant to do.

I purchased a secondhand Tamron Adaptall-2 28-80mm Lens in excellent barely used condition and wanted an adaptor to put it on a Fujinon XE-2. I purchased this adaptor and was surprised at how well made it was and what a good fit it gave to both Lens and camera. A comparable Fuji lens and adaptor would have cost me an arm and a leg. I can highly recommend this adaptor. Now I've got used to operating the camera with manual settings as opposed to doing everything automatically it's adding another dimension to my photograpy. I've now got another lens for my XE-2 and an adaptor for a fraction of the price I would have expected to pay. I also received the adpator from the USA in very impressive time as well, much sooner than I expected.

Ordered on Tuesday, delivered on Wednesday on a free delivery option!Great lens mount adapter, a bit dubious as not a major 'brand name' from my knowledge but a great, well made and quality finished adapter (could have been made by Fuji) i.e. it doesn't look cheap).Allows me to mount manual Minolta lenses to my Fuji XT-2. Quality and appearance blends in well with the camera finish and doesn't look out of place, nor does it affect the handling of the camera/50mm lens combo.Happy purchase so far......

This works really easily and I'm delighted with the look of the Leica lenses on the XT-2. I also have the fujinon M adapter but for some reason this has a problem with focusing in the10m to infinity range on my 35mm lens (though it works fine on the 90mm) - I have to look into this. Happily no problems with the Fotodiox so I'd recommend it. I also like to have an adapter on each lens rather than having to swap the adapter every time you change lens ...the Fotodiox is reasonably priced.

This is exactly as described. The adapter permits Sony/Minolta A mount lenses to be fitted to Fujifilm X mount cameras. In my case an X-S10.There are no electrical connections so neither focus or aperture are controlled by the camera and therefore both are set manually. The adapter fits very well locking both onto the camera and the lens with no play in either connection. This allows use of my older lenses on my new camera with the compromise of manual controls.

Does exactly what it says it will. feels good quality. Took me a moment to realise you pull the button to release the lens down not press it in - doh!It is more expensive than some but it feels well made compared to others I have bought for other conversions.Delivery was fantastic given it was supposed to come from the US. You can also get pre sales help. I asked a question about a different adapter and got a very intelligent reply.

This device is used for attaching old Exakta lenses to a Fuji XE2 camera body.It has a useful collar for use with a tripod which helps to balance a heavy lens against a lighter body. However, that collar should be more firmly attached to the to the adaptor ring to prevent it being detached when the collar is unscrewed from the swivel.

Excellent adaptor, which I use for cheap Nikon prime portrait lenses from the 80s and 90s, which are great value and superb glass. You need to have aperture rings on the lens and then this works very well on my XT-20. Its a great fit and a third of the price of others. Buy this and get yourself some great old nikon lenses for under £100.

I have a Fuji X mount camera want to fit various Nikon, Canon, Vivitar, Sigma lenses. Needed a good quality Tripod mountable adapter that can take weight of 400mm f5.6 Sigma-2+kilos- all up. This works well, canon type was more expensive than other fittings however saved a lot of trouble with 3rd party lens tripod fittings.

Bought this adapter so I could fit some of my vintage Pentax lenses to my Fuji X-T2. The lenses snapped into place firmly with no wiggle, which for a "dumb" manual lens adapter is the most important thing. Finish is good and construction sturdy. I've already added the manufacturer's Nikon F mount adapter to my wish list.
