The GoPro Media Mod is so badly engineered that GoPro's own thumbscrews will not fit it properly.... Yes, This fits Both the GoPro Hero8 and it's accompanying "Media Mod" with room to spare so you can actually tighten it and also have it level and in proper position ... I finally found a solution! It's also made very, very well, this will last a long time for sure. Thank you Fotodiox!

Great quality and nice color options but a little pricey. I purchased three of these in different colors so I could tell cameras apart from a distance. I also purchased them as the standard thumbscrews that come with GoPro’s are a bit short when used with a media mod. I can confirm they do work well with a media mod.

This is the prpduct gopro should have sent out when you ordered the media mod. This is so perfect i can't believe it. Hold it tight, prevents creaking sound with the mics and there is no gap! I ordered 2 more fpr my other mounts. Also the gopro keychain tightening device works on it just as well.

Easy solution for one of the GoPro Hero Media Mod’s (8 and 9) issues. The Mod increases the overall width of the Gopro so the edge goes over the head of a normal thumbscrew making it difficult to tighten or loosen properly. Just get this and no more tired fingers :)

I ordered 2 of these after I lost my original long screw for my GoPro Hero3. The seem to be well made and sturdy and hold the gopro just as good or better than the original. Has a nice little O-ring at the base of the screw so it wont back out at all. Very pleased!

This is the thumbscrew that should have came with the media mod, as all the other standard thumbscrews are too short and bump the case. This one is perfect. Although, it was not cheap for a thumbscrew.

I use these screws to secure a Gopro to my camera housing when shooting surf. They work great and I have much more faith in these metal screws vs plastic screw when out shooting big surf

this could be the highest quality that thumb screws can reach. It looks premium.Only one downside is difficult to fasten firmly bare hand. And it is expensive for a thumb screws.

These are awesome especially when paired with the all aluminum mount. I had the plastic GoPro mount on my bike and it cracked, now I have all Metal mounts and screws

Nice quality but hard to grip since the shape is like what comes with the GoPro. Smatree has a knurled surface which is more effective for tightening fully.
