When assembling the pieces, the Flymo good quality was clear by the way they fitted on without problem and came off again when needed just as easily. There was just one part that took effort and that was fitting the two pieces of the suction tube together, though that's not something that needs to be taken apart – just detached when you are switching between the sucking and blowing setups.The weather's been fairly miserable lately, so it's only recently I've managed to give it a good testing, and then only with damp leaves – which it obviously doesn't suck up as well as dry ones. It's easy to use, and easy to hold. As a leaf blower it is very powerful. It has a kick to it when you switch it on,

I collected my machine with some hesitation, having read some previous reviews. This was the type of machine I wanted. One that I could use as separate blower or vacuum. I unpacked the machine assembled it without any problems, was really easy to assemble. As for using the machine again I cannot fault the machine excellent blower and vacuum I was using it to suck up wet leaves, that had been lying for about a week. Having used the machine a few more times I really cannot fault the machine.

Have only used it as a blower so far and its great, light, powerful easy to store and convert to a collector. I picked it as it was the most powerful on offer and this is important if you are considering buying one for the first time,its also light and easy to use which is something else you should look at if your buying one, yes you can buy cheaper but dont be fooled there all the same because if you do get one cheaper then be prepered for this review to come back and bite you.

Wow. I underestimated the power of this leaf blower. It's incredible. I bought it for the blower function to blow away all the grass and grass stuck on and beneath my lawn mower after use. It was able to help blower out all the grass in all the hard to reach crevices beneath ride -on mower so this will definitely reduce risk of rust etc and help maintain the equipment. Not able to comment on the mulcher function as I don't plan to ever use this.

I've only used this product twice so far but am very impressed with the power that it produces. I've used it only to blow leaves and not as a vacuum yet so can only really comment on one of its two key features. The product is solid and sturdy. The design makes it easy to hold and I worked pretty solidly for 15 to 30 minutes without any issues in terms of weight or ergonomics. The build quality is typical Flymo, so solid and functional.

I bought this in the Black Friday sale so cost-wise it was a bargain. As others have already said this does not have a variable control as advertised. That aside I found it easy to assemble and swap between blowing and suction. Both suction and blowing is very powerful. Taking advice from other reviewers about the cost of a replacement bag I thoroughly clean the bag after use and hang it up in my garage out of the way of any mice!

A really excellent purchase - I am very pleased with it. It is vastly better than my old Flymo garden vac, much more powerful, less bulky (can be used without the vacuum tube and bag) and much easier to use. I have only used the blower function, but it is worth the money for that alone. It is easy to use with one hand and the air stream is concentrated, powerful, and easy to direct precisely to where it is needed.

The motor is powerful in both modes and shreds the leaves well. It is heavy, so the shoulder strap is necessary. The downside is that to change over from vacuum to blower you have to take off the bag and the vacuum nozzle and fit the fan guard and blower nozzle. It's OK if you make sure you do all the blowing first, then switch over, otherwise it gets to be a pain

Bought to replace a Bosch version on which the motor bearings failed after 5 years or so.This Flymo is probably better, slightly easier to use, and empty, although all these garden vacs seem quite heavy.. It has a powerful motor and seems to pick up well. The shredder seems very efficient.Very satisfied overall.

Bought this as a replacement for an earlier Flymo model that expired after 11 years. Bought it mainly for leaf blowing and haven't tried the vac function yet. I bought it mainly for the blower anyway and it is much more powerful than the previous model, is well balanced and very easy to use.

Pros. Powerful. Chews up leaves so the bag fills up only slowly. Not too heavy.Cons. Converting to use as a blower is a drag. Works best when vacuum is immediately above the leaves, as opposed to at an angle, so could be a problem for the smaller person. Quite noisy so earplugs a must.

I have had several other makes and this is the best yet.Much lighter than other blowers.Blower is great. The vacuum is ok -sometimes you have to hold it upright, directly over the leaves etc.Switching from blower to vacuum is a little fiddly.

i thought my petrol one was great but it sadly died and after reading reviews on this item thought i would take a chance, oh my god it puts my petrol one to shame, should a bargain and very good at moving most things on the ground

It's a great replacement for my previous Flymo garden vac. Easy to use with the shoulder strap and easy to empty via a zip on the collection bag. The debris gets shredded and goes straight on the compost.
