Great clean boost or overdrive pedal (not for high gain distortion) but it's mains only.Yes it's advertised as able to run on the usual 9v battery, but it does NOT take an English 9v - the battery compartment is too small and you'd need an American 9v to fit it.I sent it back for that reason because I want a portable pedal, and even on a board battery backup is a good idea, so be aware if you're going to buy one.
