I've had one of these for a few years now. It's germanium based which is very cool. You can use it like a pretty normal overdrive to push your tube amp into saturation for more dynamic response. It's not the same as a tube screamer though, the germanium type circuit results in a dynamic response from the pedal itself.The distortion side has a voltage sag control which can result in some cool low battery type tones.It really is flexible and has a wide range of uses. I have it in front of my amp all the time. It's my go to overdrive/ boost and distortion. It can get a bit noisy with everything on but, that's sort of the whole point.
