I am in two minds about this Eastpak suitcase. I think the reason is that it feels more like an over-sized cabin bag (it is way too big to be allowed into a typical aircraft cabin). That’s not helped by the product details, where not a single picture shows the case being carried or even in the orientation that it would be in if being carried. So, a mental shift is required, to consider this as a suitcase and not an over-sized cabin bag. Once that is done, it’s easier to review.The key thing is that, as a suitcase, it is very lightweight. It has four wheels and an extending handle to make it easy to move around.That makes it ideal for those hotels where getting from reception to your room involves walking a maze of corridors with unexpected steps at various points along the way, a scenario I often face when on breaks in my home country.The main compartment of the case is, as expected, zippable. There are also zippable pockets inside and out. The main compartment has the usual elasticated straps to hold the contents in place. So, other than the very lightweight nature, all pretty standard.The downside is that, being so lightweight means that the content is not as well protected as a more solid case. That’s to be expected of a lightweight case IMHO.For a lightweight case, this does feel good quality, although it would need a longer test to confirm, including being thrown around and buried under a pile of other cases at a few airports (I know most airports are better than they used to be in this respect, but I’ve seen many times how baggage can be mistreated at airports around the world). My big question mark though is about the price. At time of review, the price is £103.53. To me, that feels a little high for a soft case, rather than a hard-sided case. But maybe the lightweight nature of this case is what they are charging for.For me, this is a case that I will use when holidaying in the same country and travelling by car, or possibly train. It’s unlikely that I will use this when travelling by air, as I prefer hard-sided cases to protect the content against mishandling at airports.Overall, good if you want a lightweight, non-hard-sided case.

I guess you need to decide what you would like to use this case for before purchasing. It’s too large to used as a carry on piece of luggage. It’s a soft case but it does seem to be well constructed and although I haven’t tested it on a trip you it does look like it should survive wear and tear. It comes it the telescopic handle that cane be folded away when being stored or if you want to use one of the numerous carry straps rather than by the wheels. Capacity is decent and there’s zipped compartments inside and outside. It’s double zipped so you have the phone of padlocking it safely shut. I do like this case and the size is nice for a single persons travel. It’s that in between size of a carry on case and a family case.£100 is a reasonable price tag for it as my initial impressions are that it is pretty good quality.

Review for Eastpak Traf'ik 4 L Suitcase, 80 cm, Cloud Navy.A light strong and tough polyester suitcase which has four rotating spinner wheels on the base for effortless wheeling and manoeuvrability. Three handles, (top, side and bottom) as well as a telescoping handle which collapses right down for storage. A front zip pocket for quickly inserting last minute items if need be, the main compartment is double zipped for easier opening. The compact nature of the suitcase means it has a decent amount of storage inside and is lightweight and functional.
