This bag has gathered very mixed reviews: pretty much all the points, good and bad, are correct. Your overall rating will probably depend on how you plan to use it.I have added phtos showing it in its carry bag; removed from the carry bag; unrolled. and in use, about 60% full. The plus side -It's an enormous bag.It seems fairly strong so far.It has wheels, so you can roll it.It folds up to a remarkably small size, and can be stored in a supplied bag.The downside -If you don't pack it fairly full, or place something rigid in the bottom of the bag, it sags badly- it has absolutely no internal rigidity other than the end with the wheels.Because it is narrow,it's easy to tip it when you pull it along on its wheels. There is no extendable handle, so if you are tall, you have to stoop to pull it along. It's easy to clatter yourself with it when you pull it, because the pull handle is short. When you lift it by the top handles, it's long and wide, so it's not comfortable to carry. So, it boils down to how you want to use it. I have a North Face base camp bag as well. By comparison, it is much thicker material, and it doesn't sag in the same way as the Eagle Creek bag when you lift it. The North Face is easier to fill and to find things, because the top flap folds back in a D-shape, rather than the central zip in the Eagle Creek. The North Face also has the advantage that it has handles at the sides that make it easier to carry when it's full, and it can also be carried as a back pack. The reason I use the Eagle Creek is that it's better for me when I have to move the bag a reasonable distance, because of the wheels. It definitely tips at times, but it's still easier for me than lugging the North Face base camp bag around with the same amount of material in it. If I was actually going to a base camp, I'm pretty sure that I'd take the North Face bag. For moving things between car and hotel on a business trip, with long rumbles along hotel corridors, I prefer the Eagle Creek bag. I would also take it abroad, folded, as a second bag to bring back extra purchases when I returned. I don't have a North Face Rolling Thunder bag, but from the reviews and a few glimpses in airports, it looks both massive and bulletproof. And expensive. It could well be a serious alternative, if you can afford it.So, The Eagle Creek bag has serious limitations, but if you need to move a lot of stuff and don't mind packing it carefully to reduce sag, and you need wheels, it does a decent job at a reasonable price.

Fantastic foldable, wheeled bag that looks like it will last for years (plenty of cheap ones around I wanted to avoid). Excellent, water proof material, light but large - I packed in easily over 20 kg and there was room for a bit more.I am 178 cm tall and was worried if the handle would be too low when the bag is moved around for me. True, it is not as comfortable as the standard wheeled bags but a compromise is needed if your priority is a light bag that can be folded, taken on the plane as hand luggage one way and then packed and checked in on return. This one comes with great wheels and even though a bit of bending is needed to pull it around, a distance of around 10 min walk was done easily.Overall, very happy with the purchase.

I bought this to replace an over-the shoulder bag. Net, I love the weatherproof nature of the thing, and it's well-made. It's going to handle whatever I throw at it withing reason (I'm using it as a Soccer Referee bag). That said, one of the reasons I went with this bag is the rolling feature; it may be how I've packed it -- but it doesn't roll very well. It's not that the wheels aren't good -- it's just that the bag itself seems off-kilter on anything other than smooth surfaces.Net, this would probably be fine for an airport -- but it tends to tip a bit in parking areas or grass. That said, still very happy with the purchase.

Going on a long trip and planning on returning with souvenirs or more clothes than you left with? This bag fits the bill. I don't think I'd use it as a main bag just because it lacks a telescoping handle and won't stand upright on it's own unless packed very specifically. Can be bit of a pain to roll with just a portage loop on the end to hold, but again, I am mainly using this as a secondary piece of luggage. All of the handles and hardware feel very solid; metal clasps on the shoulder strap instead of plastic, double bar-tacking on all handles. A very simple and surprisingly packable bag for a roller.

Wow. Top quality. Given a really tough test on an overland expedition truck around southern Africa, and came through with flying colours. Voluminous, sturdy wheels, light, and without a fixed base folds down well around wheels. Emerged with only minor blemishes on material. Do not be surprised that the duffel will not support itself if not fully packed.

I bought the product for a trip to Africa. The bag needed to be tough enough for travel, extreme temperature/conditions and hopefully keep insects and any other disgusting creatures out. Happy to say the bag stood up and is still in fantastic condition. Definitely recommend it and would purchase another.

it is big enough for a 15-20 days: I even included towels for the trip. It's confortable to move it for my 14 year old son. great quality too and it's true it is waterproof. I recommend to buy the separate bags to put underwear and socks easy to find. Eagle Creek also offers it..

It didn't look as large when it came but I fit clothing, linens, toiletries, small fan, kleenex box, etc. for a basketball player going to 10 days of camp. Unbelievable. I will post back later about durabilility, but it seems to be extremely well made, durable, etc. I love it.

I bought 2 of these for a family sailing trip. Older bags with wheels and heavy rigid base hard to stow and use up to 25% of hold allowance with some carriers. Single trip to Asia with 4 transfers and no damage as yet. Very happy.

Was looking for something my daughter could use back and forth from college on train/bus/car. This was more than I expected. Sturdy quality and LOTS of room to pack. The rollers make it soooo easy to manipulate in crowds.

The first impression is good. Solid processed. If he is as good as his rolleless brother, there's nothing to complain about. Already "No matter what" has moved me to buy it. After the next trip to Tibet we know more.

This is my third purchase of this bag as I love them so much. Small enough to fit inside a regular suitcase when I travel overseas and then when I shop too much I have an extra suitcase for bringing it all home!

Genuinely the best bag I’ve ever used. I travel a lot and this bag withstands it all. Superb quality and durability. In fact I have 3 of them in different sizes. Only bag I’ll buy.

Only used it once and I was surprised by this little guy. Great quality and when your done with it, it rolls up into a small bag that it comes with

Needs to be full for ease of control. Maybe as a taller guy may need a strap to extend handle. But overall very pleased.
