This suitcase is made from a very durable material that should hold up in the most severe conditions. It is extremely light compared to other suitcases of this size which allows for more loading to stay under the 50 or 70-pound airline limits. The suitcase has two compartments. The large open compartment inside the suitcase with two zippers...one which can expand the bag by about one to two inches if necessary for bulk packing. Additionally, there is a full-length compartment on the outside of the bag. The zippers are very robust and well made. All seams are hardcore and clearly very strong. One of the best features of the suitcase is the wheels. They are of excellent manufacture. They roll and swivel with absolutely no effort. The easiest rolling suitcase I have ever used...ever!Another unique feature is the multiple handles for carrying, loading, or retrieving from a baggage claim system. There is a handle on the top of the suitcase as well as another on the front, and yet another on the longitudinal side. They make handling off the wheels easy and without great effort. My only issue with the suitcase for which I removed one star, was the main compartment where there is no cover over the extendable handle rods as is found in most suitcases. The only issue with this is that if you are packing anything remotely breakable, it would behoove you to add cushioning of clothes directly over the rails to avoid having any item bang against the rails directly in the case of rough handling of the suitcase.Other than that, it's a FOUR STAR rating from me due to the issue above, and what I consider to be a little overpriced in comparison to other high-end suitcases of the same size. Nonetheless, I like it, it travels well and allows for a LOT of packing to keep underweight. It has my honest recommendation if you're looking for a suitcase of this size for your travels and want some assurance against damage. There is a matching carryon suitcase that is available as well and equally well-made.*If you found my review helpful to you, please let Amazon know by clicking the "HELPFUL" button below!

The Eagle Creek Gear Warrior 30” has held and still looks great after one short flight (LAX-SEA). We also just tested this by filling it with 50 pounds worth of canned food and rolling/banging it around a park. For reference we are pretty rough with luggage since we like to travel not only in the USA but also all over Africa and Asia. We look for durability rather than beauty :)-there are lots of grab handles! This makes loading into vehicles or onto airport belts a breeze. Top, side and near bottom. There is not a handle on the very bottom but there is one near it which still fits our need (grabbing out of car trunks).-extremely lightweight!!! This only weighs 9 lbs 3 oz and in large suitcases the lighter the better! With such ridged checked bagged restrictions this allows us to pack more.-has a gear grabber on the top by the retractable handle. This could be used for helmets but we actually used it to hold all of our coats and our carryon backpack while we were trekking back to our car after a flight.-the fabric is still goods good even after I spilt a mocha on it oops! It cleaned up easily with hot water and laundry soap. Mud that splashed up around the bottom wiped clean as well. Due to it being fabric it will look dirtier easily. However, we like to travel to Africa and other fun places and we never expect our luggage to stay pretty looking for long. We prefer lightweight fabric over hard sided.-the inside is perfect if you use packing cubes or not. It has a mesh compartment that’s almost the length of the bag. I love this for storing socks, underwear, baby diapers and supplies or for items I know I will need right when we land.-when we dragged it (loaded with 50 pounds) up and down steps it was perfect! It felt strong and secure even the handle.-wheels are rugged!!!! Took this over muddy grass, mulch, gravel and a cobblestone walkway. It turned great, felt secure and all wheels were left in great condition.I will update as we use it more. However, so far we really like it! It’s lightweight and made to use even at the roughest destinations :)

I've owned my fair share of really bad luggage over the years, and once even had to resort to duct taping a suitcase together in order to get it home. As a result, I'm very particular about what brands of luggage I use now...especially when traveling by plane or cruise ship where luggage goes over conveyor belts and takes a lot of abuse.I haven't had the opportunity yet to take this luggage on a trip, but I do believe that it's going to hold up well. This wheeled duffel is rugged. The rip-stop fabric feels very durable, and is water resistant. The corners are reinforced. The zippers appear well made, and move smoothly. The only thing that I have a small concern about are the 4 wheels.Like all bags I have seen with 4 wheels, they stick out from the bottom of the bag. It's hard to say whether or not they could be broken while going through a conveyor belt. However, it appears that if that did happen, the wheel is easy to replace. I loaded the bag up with some random clothes and shoes, just to try it out in my house and on my driveway. It rolls easily, and turns corners well. It seems well balanced too, since the bag didn't tip when I let go of the handle. This bag is BIG! I'm an over packer, so that's perfect for me. I have 2 similar bags to this (made by different companies), and those are about 11 lbs and 13 lbs. This Eagle Creek bag is just over 9 lbs. That saved weight allows you to pack even more clothes in the bag. I would suggest weighing the bag before going to the airport, as it would be easy to go over the 50 lb weight limit of most domestic carriers.I also have the matching carry-on piece that matches this luggage, and wrote a review on that as well. As the old saying goes, sometimes you get what you pay for. With luggage, I've learned that is usually a true statement. This luggage is a bit pricey, but it's going to hold up for the long term. Highly recommended!

Our resident 8-year old has always shared a suitcase with his mother, but all at once he seems to be constructed mainly of long legs and larger clothes, so I tried this suitcase for him as a remedy. The bag is huge. I should have measured 30 inches to see how long that is. He jokes that he could put his 3-year old cousin inside to take her along on trips. The 8-year-old’s reactions: He loves the thing. First, he wheeled it all around the house and declared that it was easy to maneuver. Next, he found a pen and filled in the owner information card and tucked it in its plastic pocket, just to make sure everyone knew the bag was his. Finally, he lobbied for a long vacation in Hawaii or Disney World, the two most exotic places he can imagine. My reactions were favorable, after I got past the black color and imagining picking out the correct piece of black luggage in a crammed conveyor belt.I like that this item is made of recycled materials. And the lifetime warranty helps offset the cost of the bag. The empty weight over 9 pounds will be a little much if the bag is loaded to capacity.Even if he packs all his LEGOs to take along, I don’t think the 8-year-old can fill 6100 cubic inches. I will suggest that he and his mother continue to share luggage, using this new bag.

This is the first carryon I've owned that I've received compliments on! Males in particular seem to like the appearance although I wouldn't say this is a particularly masculine design. It looks streamlined, modern, and sporty. The handles operate easily and slide up and down effortlessly and the wheels - WOW. I can wheel this bag around with minimal effort, smoothly and easily. It was a pleasure to wheel compared to any other bag I've used, even on carpet! There are plenty of convenient handles to assist with lifting onto the security belt and into the overhead bin. This bag weights about 8 pounds which is 2 less than my Amazon Basics suitcase I've been using which was previously my lightest one at 10 pounds. It seems my bag is always right at the 50 lb limit or over by a couple of pounds so I appreciate even a 2 lb reduction in bag weight. I am 5'4" and just love the ease that I can navigate through the airport when I travel alone, even when I have two large bags and a carryon (which happens often for extended business travel)! I highly recommend this bag for anyone, any age.

I purchased 2 of these in May 2019. Since then I have dragged these bags on a number of trips -- I live in Kaliningrad, Russia. Several trips to Moscow, dragging these around the uneven sidewalks and streets; two trips to the USA, both of them 3 weeks or more; Helsinki's cobble streets with tram tracks; London for two weeks: a 5 week trip to Yekaterinburg: a two day trip via train from Yekaterinburg to Perm and then to Moscow, The bags have withstood the best efforts of bag handlers at the airports and still look more or less new. They are large enough to cram all of my stuff and innumerable purchases, and the cinch straps tighten everything together. No worries,no problems; I was a bit concerned the wheels would not stand up to the brick and cobble sidewalks, but they seem to tolerate the rough surfaces just fine -- even a 1 km stroll down the roughest sidewalk in Kaliningrad, full of potholes and tree roots.

This bag is lightweight, and is medium sized verging on large sized. It's wheels glide effortlessly across the floor, and the texture of the wheels allow it to be moved across multiple types of terrain. The wheels also allow for easy 360 degree turns which I love. There are lots of pockets and zippers that allow for convenient access, and also allows you to store many types of items. I am a detail person, and one small feature I like is that the pull out handle at the top of the bag is stored beneath a zippered pocket. A classy detail for sure. The construction of the bag seems sturdy, and apparently the company has made the main compartment out of plastic bottles. I love that they are thinking eco friendly.I really enjoys all aspects of this luggage and cannot wait to take it on vacation.

The problem I have with duffels is that they are not usually weather-resistant. This suitcase duffel addresses that problem for weather resistance, and does so well. The material in the outside is very water resistant, though soft enough that it does shed some weight off the hard material cases. The tradeoffs are that you have a lighter and more shapeable bag, but at the expense that more delicate objects are more exposed in this duffel than with a harder case. In terms of the telescoping accessories, the four wheels are all well-designed, with decent performance on both pavement/concrete and on softer material like carpet. The handle is not impaired even with a full case as it has its own guarded area to fix up and down. There is a great backboard which keeps the height intact.

I ordered this bag specifically to use for a month long trip to New Zealand. It had to survive ten flights and a ferry crossing in addition to being manageable enough for me to lug it up and down stairs and across terminals and streets. The good news is that it performed well with about 38 pounds of gear. I like the design features and lived out of it with minimal unpacking since I was rarely in a place more than three 3-4 nights. The bad news is that the grommets holding the handle at the end of the bag pulled out. The handle itself was still usable but made more flimsy. The grommets are inexpensive plastic and not designed to handle the stress of heavy handling. If not for that I would give it five stars.

Good:-I was easily able to pack for a 5 day trip with plenty of room to bring back souvenirs.-I like the size of the bag in terms of storage space.-Zippers are strong and seem durable.-The wheels moved great on carpet, wood, vinyl, rubber and even gravel.-Water resistant.Bad:-I like the zipper pulls but not every zipper has them.We have an Eagle Creek ORV 36 and needed a smaller companion. The warrior does not seem as heavy duty when compared to the ORV, but it is a well made bag. I like the Eagle Creek gear warrior because It’s roomy, durable compared to most, and easy to use. I love the Eagle Creek brand and it’s warranty.

Love the color! My only regret is that I should have gotten a luggage cover to protect that nice color from getting airport dirty!Pretty spacious.Rolls like soft butter.Handle sturdy not flimsy at all.Doesn’t feel like a checked bag size.Love the strategically placed grab handles and strap (by the extension handle) to hold things in place on the outside.Outside buckles and straps may be too much...I feel like they may get caught on something.I would have given a higher score for durability, but before I even used it one of the strings on the zipper tabs broke.I would still recommend this product.

This suitcase is relatively slim inside. However, it has a zipper expansion which allowed us to create more space. The zipper pouch is also great for the handle extension. Inside it had safety clips that allowed our luggage to stay secure and not slide around. It's sturdy but also lightweight which makes it fantastic for long haul flights and vacations that require a lot of traveling. Yes, it's expensive but it's sleek and efficient. It's an investment piece of luggage that will last for years. I would buy this as a wedding or graduation gift.

Very happy with this purchase but have only used it once. It seems to be of good material and quality. It’s on smaller size for a 26” bag, but perhaps packing cubes will help. The outside pocket is full length and the strap inside the handle area held my coat well while walking. I wanted a smaller, easier one to pick up than my slightly bigger bag and this seems to fit well in this way. I ordered another one from the Eagle Creek website to be able to carry more items on longer trips; two bags. Spinners worked well too.

When you go traveling, you want to make sure you have luggage that will last for more than one trip. This softside rolling duffle type bag is expandable and has areas to keep your clothing and shoes separated. It can be carried by one of the handles on the side or top or it can be wheeled with the spinner wheels that are designed to roll over different kinds of hard surfaces with ease. The best part is the warranty. It is a lifetime No Matter warranty that either repairs or replaces if anything doesn't work.

We used this bag for our recent domestic trip, we could get a lot of stuff inside for a whole week of stay at the inn. There were no rips or breaks in the seams and zippers worked fine. I like the Arctic blue color and the expandable feature is a plus for us as we carry lot of clothes. The luggage rolls nicely in airports and travelling was comfortable and convenient. It is nicely constructed and stood up to the abuse of the Airport luggage handlers. Satisfied with this purchase.
