This laser level is great in low light conditions - used indoors for putting up shelves, kitchen cabinets etc.. it works a treat. I used in the garage for putting up ceiling trusses and I don't think I could have done such a good job without it. It was worth the money alone to get the trusses perfectly horizontal and aligned. At this stage I would have given it 5 stars.However used recently outside for levelling purposes on steps and it definitely struggles a bit with brightness. It was a very hot day and very bright. I could still use for intended purpose but not as clear as would have liked. Not sure how other lasers would have faired in these conditions.

This is the best laser I have owned ( and I've had 3 in total)Unique features: Strong magnet at the back which allows to stick it even to metal beats under the plaster!!! which makes it very easy to put it on any height you want- just put it against the corner of the wall and if there is a metal beading it will stay on the wall.The other thing is very, very, very wide beam both horizontal and vertical.I am not a big fan of DeWalt which I think is a bit overrated but this one is really a great product.

This is my first self levelling line laser, and purchased to install some kitchen cupboards. I bought this model on the recommendation of a joiner that was fitting me some doors and said it was his go-to tool. Has a built-in magnet that is strong enough to find the metal edges under plasterboard, so its as simple as sticking this to a corner of a wall, and switching on.Has vertical and horizontal beams which showed me just how wonky our 60s bungalow walls really were.A great piece of kit

I had a Bosch lazer level which was good but I turned it on when I was drunk and it didn’t work. Turns out the batteries were flat but I bought this while I was still drunk and it’s much better.This is a very very good bit of kit.I’m a decorator and use it for hanging wallpaper so I’d highly recommend it for this.The Bosch lazer line was good but faint in brighter rooms whereas this one is great in all lights.

Been meaning to get one of these for a couple of years. Was on verge of getting a cheaper brand but the build quality seems worth it so far. Only used a couple of times. But pretty bright even in direct sunlight. My old Stanley laser would b invisible in the same situation. Having a locked fixed beam (like my old Stanley) would have been nice and not sure why couldn't have had that option but still worth buying.

How did I live without one? Its not cheap but it'll pay for itself in no time with the time saved, I'm not sure how I got by without one after a week of using it I'd decided if it was lost or stolen I'd replace it the same day. I've now had it almost 12 months and the only negative I've got is that it goes through batteries but it can be on 8-12 hours a day for a week before a change is due I can live with that.

The developers have considered every application this type of laser level can be used for and have ingenuously incorporated features into the design that makes every task simplicity itself. The one stand out feature is this levels ability to project a vertical plumb line regardless of how close the level is to a wall. I can't think of how it could possibly be made any better. Its just brilliant.

An excellent piece of kit that all tradesmen should have at there disposal. The strength of the laser is brilliant having used many of its competitors it is by far the best tool for the job. Almost no need to use standard box levels due to the quick and easy set up and its ability to cast a beam around a whole room, saves time and money. I wish I had brought this piece of kit a long time ago.

I don't like to write a tool review until I've used the tool for a few months. I bought this laser about a year ago,I like the brand I find their equipment tough and reliable. The laser's been knocked around and abused in the past year,and it's still as true as the day I got it. If you're looking for a laser,I doubt if you'll buy a better tool in the price range.

I have now had a chance to use this product and have found it absolutely excellent. The LASER is very powerful and the green colour is much more visible than the red, especially in strong ambient light. A good tripod is, in my opinion, an essential companion for this product it makes it much easier to use. Especially when surveying a site.

need a level or plumb line or both simultaneously this will do the job, very handy bit of kit which so far has been used during my home refurbishment to level trough for wall sockets, plumb stud work, level sliding doors, level tiles and transfer plumb from floor to ceiling for accurate positioning of LED spot lights.

not able to use this "at an angle" - must be level. This is fine most of the time but difficult when trying to get a level at 2 meters plus. I'm sure this must be possible with far more expensive models. Given the price I can not complain. Bought it for one job and keep finding new uses all the time

Good enough for professional work. Build quality is good as with most DeWalt tools. Magnetic plate and clip come handy. Laser lines are clearly visible, good results every time. The only thing I could have wished is fixed laser position to get angled (off level) lines. Otherwise excellent product.

I bought this for my husbands Christmas present and would have given a higher easy to use IF the instructions manual had been in English. In all other languages but english. If amazon want to address this issue and send an English manual it would be very much appreciated.

Its aamazing lazer really helps with my plumbing work can see very clearly and flashes when the lazer is not straight so it help to get thing nice and staight the only thing you have to do is get some battery because even know it come with battery the batterys are dead
