Who ever thought that it would make any kind of difference what markers you buy?! Well, wait till your 3 year old becomes obsessed with colouring. Turns out, there are quite a few features you can want in a marker (other than: it works!) and these seem to have them all.Demand no.1, 2 and 3 (for me at least) washability!!! Turns out, many manufacturers are liars, but these wash out of anything so far. Clothes, faces, hands, hardwood floors, table cloths and furniture fabric. The colours are vibrant and with 14 in a pack, lot's to choose from. They colour at any angle (unlike the Crayola Beginnings, which seems to work less at an angle). They fit tiny hands well but because the caps are large and fit tightly on the other end,you can transform them into grown up size markers if your kid wants you to help out (also like, stated in an other review, the size makes them less of a chocking hazard). The last very long (had them since xmas and my girl colours A LOT) and so far, seem to be crush-proof.Lastly, because they are small, they are ideal to pop in little compartments of (hand)bag, car door, stroller, etc. with a few sheets of paper as instant entertainment on the go.(oh yeah, and my girl loves to stick them together tip to end and make long towers :-) )Brilliant value for money, will be buying them again and again (though so far, the first pack is still working fine, knock wood)

I brought these pens for my little boy, who was turning 3 years old. We had just brought him a black board with a white board on the one side and so needed some washable pens to use on it. I needed pens that were going to be tough and hard wearing, as well as washable! After reading the reviews-I decided to buy the Crayola Pip squeaks. People had said the nibs lasted well as they were shorter and fatter, this was correct. And they are also shorter in length, so easier for small hands to hold.We have had then pens for almost a year now (and my son has only forgot to put one lid on so far) and they are all but one going strong. I was really impressed,so I brought a second pack to use at his grandparents house. The colours are bright and vibrant, which my son has loved. He has had great fun drawing and writing with them, on paper as well as on his white board. I think they have helped him with writing, as he has enjoyed using them so much.I can happily say they also wash out of clothes easily, and off skin! When this pack finally dries out/wears out- I will be buying another pack!

Both my 3 year old and my 1 year old love scribbling and drawing with these pens. As someone has already said, the lids are big enough for me not to have to worry about the littlest one choking on them, which is a real bonus. The colours are bright and appealing, and the pens are just the right size and shape for young children to grab and have fun with. The very best thing tho is, the colours really ARE washable. My 1 year old is currently in the habit of drawing on her hands and face as well as the paper, she has also sucked the ends of nearly all our pens, and got them all over her clothes - but the colours are water soluble so it all washes off really easily.I also feel happier with her chomping on these pens than on a chunky wax crayon, because so far none of the bits have come off in her mouth like wax crayons tend to do - and trust me, she's had a really good try! ;o Great fun, and I'll definitely buy another set when these finally run out.

In a nutshell these 'Pipsqueaks' are fab little pens. Lots of colours in a set that have good felt nibs to them. For my daughters I keep them in the car for car trips as I find they are ideal to use and don't take up a lot of space. Not only are they washable (I found marks on the carpet and they came out quite easily) which is good news for Mums, or any parent/carer but they are colourful & bright too and I think little ones are motivated more when using these compared to boring grey or even coloured pencils or crayons. I remember how frustrating it was for my daughter when she pressed down on her pencils so hard that they snapped too often. With these you need very little effort at all before you see the wet colours glide on the page.We love the names each shade has been given as well: Dinky Pink, Little Boy Blue and Golden Nugget to name just three. My daughter actually learnt to write her name using these pens, and later with the slimmer

When my 1yr old daughter became simultaneously bored with crayons and fascinated by pens, I looked around for some toddler-friendly washable felt tips and was very happy to have found these. They are chunky enough for small hands to hold, and genuinely wash out of/off clothes, furniture, and said tiny hands (unlike many so-called "washable" kids' pens). They come in a nice bright range of colours, seem to last a reasonable amount of time so long as the lids are replaced after use, and are not too expensive to replace if lids do get left off.My daughter is now 3 and has moved on to other pens, but I have just purchased another set of these for my son as they were definitely the best toddler pens we found. In the hours since they have arrived he has had great fun colouring on his face, hands, knees, hair, the floor, table and chairs, the fridge, me and his sister - everything but the paper - and so far everything has washed/wiped off.

My child wanted felt tips like their older sibling, however the older one didn't want their felt tips ruined by toddler hands so i thought these to be perfect. These are smaller and chunkier than original Crayola felt tips, perfect for little hands. This pack comes in a great variety of colours and you know you are getting quality markers with Crayola. These have been scribbled on just about any item of clothes my child has and wash out every time, thank god. I would never purchase any other marker for children as i know im getting a great value product every time. Would recommend them 100%Pros: Chunky and small, great for younger childrenCrayola - great quality felt tipsGreat variety of coloursDurable and long lastingWashableGreat value for moneyIdeal for carrying around if need to beCons: My daughter won't stop colouring on the floor (Not a con of the actual product itself :)

These were bought for my 3 year old and have proved to be a bit hit - the colours are lovely and bright, the pens easy to hold and they have lasted well. From my point of view, I like the fact that the lids click on securely and fit on the end of the pen when in use - this has prevented the lids being lost, as has happened with countless other pens.My 16 month old has also started using these - they are chunky enough for her to hold and have no small bits she can swallow. The thick nibs have also stood up really well to a more heavy-handed approach! The only downside (for those of us with kids that colour everything except the paper!) is that the ink is a bit of a pain to get off of skin.It does come off, but not before I have a very grumpy toddler! However, it washes out of clothes fine, in my experience.Overall, highly recommended for all budding artists!

This is a great little set of markers, a good range of colours and a nice size for toddlers. Pointy enough tips that a good line is possible and strong enough tips that occasional smashing into the page doesn't kill the points. We love them and have bought sets over and over for presents and children's groups as well as home use. Little hands might struggle with getting the lids on which might be considered a bonus or a pain. Two caveats though. (1) We've found them to be genuinely washable on almost everything - but not off standard matt emulsion WALL PAINT, so beware! (2) If the lids are left off, they dry out really quickly.Fortunately the lids click on nicely so it's easy to know if they are properly sealed.

A nice thick tip, so you don't have to worry about the tip breaking when your little one decides to press hard or dab at the picture. All the quality you would expect from Crayola, and being Crayola I feel more confident that they really are 'washable'. We haven't had any accidents with them yet though (thank goodness), if/when we do I'll update to tell you how well they clean off. Some things are worth spending the extra few pennies on, and these are one of those things. As they weren't that expensive I decided that it would, in the end, work out a lot cheaper than a new carpet having brought cheaper pens and finding out they weren't 'washable' after all.

These are great for craft time with my toddler at home. She loves the different colour and how easy they are compared to her pencil crayons, which require pressure when colouring. One day she happened to walk by the wall with the purple marker, leaving a wavy line about two meters long on our white wall! GASP!!! Luckily, all it took was one nappy wipe and within seconds it was removed. We noticed it straight away, not sure if it would have the same result if left to dry for hours/days.The only negative is that she finds it a bit difficult to put the lids back on.

These are fantastic, got them to replace some other pens that dried out.My four year old loves drawing and he always comments on how nice the colours are. Plus these pens are quite short and fatter so he finds them a lot easier to hold. Also perfect for our two year old. (Our kids have also discovered that the pens link together so when they're finished drawing they start building towers with them). The lids click shut so I'm assuming this will help keep them from drying out as they are air tight.Really pleased with this purchase.

My 19 month old daughter loves these. They are a great size for her little hands and can be washed off easily. A great choice of colours too. Fantastic for remote learning/isolation/social distancing activities. She has stamped them down a few times to make different textures and this hasn’t seemed to have damaged the tips, so I think they’re quite durable too.The only problem she has is that she finds it hard to take the lids off herself, but there again that leaves me calmer knowing she can’t use them unsupervised.

7 chunky marker pens (pink, orange, yellow, green, blue, brown, purple). They're a perfect size and shape for little fingers to grip and, more importantly, the ink is washable and usually easy to wipe off hands and faces. The tops are perforated and the nibs are anticrush for safety reasons. Age limit is set at 36 months due to the risk of a choking hazard. They're decent little pens and my only niggle is that they don't last for long and soon dry out if you don't replace the tops straight after use.

I order these for my daughter as a stocking filler. My kids are always colouring in and these pens are bright and have a wide selection of colours. This set is perfect for toddlers as their little hands can grip the pens well. The nibs are very sturdy and can cope with my 2-year-old dotting on the paper quite vigorously. These pens are good value for money and they last quite a long time. There is also the bonus of being washable, so there are no issues if accidents occur.

19.2.2012

Best suited for smaller hands these pens have vibrant colours. Good for detail work and also covering large areas quickly as the felt tip's shape allows for this depending on how you angle the pen. My only criticism, and it is only minor, is that the lid can easily fall off when placed at the top of the pen; when in use. I'll still give them 5 stars as Crayola undoubtedly set the standard when it comes to felt tip colouring pens for kids (and some adults too!).
