This review has been written after a week of camping in Cornwall. Weather in that week has been as follows; extreme heat, extreme windy conditions, extreme rain and all of the above at once...I know nothing about the water proofing levels. So after reading people's feedback saying it was 2000 whatever instead of 3000 as other tents, I bought a most seller water proofing spray on amazon and sprayed its flysheet after erecting it to test it. It was a 10 mins job. So my review does not reflect the original water proofing of this tent.It stood up well in crazy wind where you'd doubt you make it through the night. I pegged not only the corners of the groundsheet but also the windows/flaps very well with a hammer.Water did not enter from anywhere BUT THROUGH THE THE ZIPS. there are flaps over the zips but because it was windy, the flaps' velcro bits, which should be top to bottom rather than 3 little patches, flapped and water made its way through the zips. Now when I say water I mean a few little drops on the floor. But when you think about 6 set of zips, it is 6 sets of tiny droplets which may splash on things that should avoid water but we were OK really.During the heat, the windows gave a nice airy space when needed. People said it was breezy at night as window nets let cold air in considering there is a gap between them and the flysheet but in a sleeping bag, well wrapped up- we didn't feel anything. Our very little son wasnt bothered either. It is very spacious and easy to set up- even by one person. You may want to watch videos on youtube if unsure but you cant go wrong with colour coding. Fly sheet may be a bit of a hassle trying to put over a very high tent once erected. But there are easy ways (youtube videos) of doing it. After all, I would suggest this tent for heavy campers as wel as first timers- families and small groups. We haven't used the room divider as we liked the feeing of its big open space. It also has two mats which we used as indoor shoe mats by the two entrances.I have read people moaning that water goes down the flysheet and through the doors when it rains. I found two solutions to this:1- keep the damn doors closed. It is still airy enough with everything zipped up anyway.2- give it a punch or two (on the doors) and wait for 5-10 seconds for water droplets to flow down before entering/leaving the tent.My problem was putting it back into its carrier bag after using it!! It happened but took a while... practice made it better. But it was a hassle for me.Hope this review helps if you're in doubt about this product.

Used a few times in rain and hot weather. I love this tent is good quality for the price would recommend. Is HUGE can stand up in it with hinged, structured door flap. So If like me you hate about camping is crawling around and constantly unzipping and rolling up doors this one perfect. Not complaints just some stuff to bear in mind:1.Heavy. Got wheels like luggage but be pain to hawl long distance.2. Assembly is easy all colour coded pole. Can be tricky to reach to get the outer sheet over top if alone. I've managed it but much easier if 2 people.3. Can be bit cold at night.. I think better suited to warmer climate because internal space is massive to warm up and with all round mesh on inner tent the outer cover then has gap to ground so air gets in easy not like sealed bag.Actually for me this is the best thing about it as all side wall curtains open to make cool during day when most tent can feel like sauna.4. Really versatile. When not camping is great to fill with toys as massive garden play tent. Also I found its possible to remove the inner tent and leave just the outer part standing making to make a nice gazebo or marqee. I even did bbq in centre in rain with all side walls open but please note that not recommended or designed for that! Is not a gazebo so quite fiddly to remove inner part.5. No big deal, but standing roof water can drip in a bit when opening closing door because no porch bit. But don't go camping in rain ;) Actually it would be cold if they did some zip on porch extension accessory.6. Packing up not the easiest and never known correct fold and rolling method but always managed since bag seems big enough tolerance to squash in. Although bag is falling to bits now because forced in so much.Cheers

I am completely in love with this tent.I should begin by mentioning that it is still fairly new so I can't comment on wear and tear over time, but I can say a few things:- it is a beautiful thing. It stands out from the crowd. It's colourful and original and with the windows open it feels like a gazebo, and I can't get enough of the door that opens like a real door!- Coleman are a trusted brand for a reason. Within a couple of uses, this tent has been put through it's paces and come out with top marks. It has survived strong winds, torrential rain, hailstones the size of marbles and a muddy river flowing underneath it making walking on the groundsheet feel like walking on a waterbed. No leaks whatsoever. Totally dry inside.- little things matter... like high quality tent pegs that don't bend as soon as they feel stone, and a hook in the centre to hang up a lamp- it is SO easy to put up and take down- it is big. I'm a tall girl and love the fact I can walk around the WHOLE of the inside with a lot of headroom to spare. That being said, you're only going to fit 8 people sleeping in it if you have a separate space for cooking outside of the tent. I like to set it up with the curtain in the middle to separate it into a sleeping space and a cooking/eating space. I set my camp kitchen up like a home-kitchen... a table for washing up, a table for my 2 camp stoves, a shelving unit for storage, and a double fold out seat in the living area, and that leaves room in the sleeping area for... comfortably, no more than 3 people I'd say. We had 2 people and a puppy bed last trip. That was pretty spacious.

Easy to assemble. Put up in garden before we took camping. Didn't realise the weather overnight. Tipped over because we didn't use the guyropes but just tipping over bent some of the poles. So not that sturdy. We bent the poles back. Took camping. Used all the guyropes. It withstood a week long storm. Fast winds. Thunder. Lightening. Hail. Torrential rain. No leaks. No moving.great tent.Great in size. bought this for two people as we wanted more glamping style of camping. we didn't want a sleeping tent and a storage tent. This tent is big enough to use the separator down the middle. And have a LARGE double blow up bed on one side. With room around it.And the second side for a lounge and storage.Literally a massive tent.We basically had a studio flat as a tent.My 6 foot partner could stand up straight no problem.Another downside, Is that because most of the underlayer of tent (the main part of the tent) is all netting due to the windows. In the evenings it doesn't keep any heat. So even when you go camping in the summer. You'll still need to wear around 50 layers because there is no warmth at all in that tent at night. You will literally freeze.

Our tunnel tent was starting to wear out so decided to grab one of these when it was heavily discounted at the end of the summer. Was a bit unsure about switching from our serious-camper, sober green, 4 man tent to a bright orange mini-big top, but once it was erected (quickly, in half darkness) and we spread ourselves out in it, no going back. Just two drawbacks - interior is dominated by a dark grey floor fabric and is pretty cavernous, which means that it's very hard to illuminate - even with two really bright lanterns, still feels pretty dark. There's also very little hope of warmth at the start or end of the season when it's nippier, because the inner tent is very perforated (about 50% of the wall area is mesh)and the outer tent has two wide open areas in front of the doors (the doors are in the inner tent), with air circulating freely between these openings and the gap between inner and outer tent - so there's no prospect of keeping the interior warm when it's chill outside. Still a fantastic tent for mild weather. The headroom, the views out, the space - all fabulous

The tent itself is pretty great. I love it to be honest. It took a couple of times putting it up to learn how to do it, but then its really easy, and one person can do it - I'm five foot tall and I did it alone - but it is significant easier and faster with two people. It is fully waterproof, as evidenced by camping in pouring rain on a beach on the Isle of Mull and in the Lake District. It gets lots of admiring comments from other campers tooOne negative was the storage bag the tent arrived in was torn around the zip when it arrived. I don't know how anyone could ever get this tent and all the poles etc in that small storage bag anyway, so I'd say the wheeled storage bag was a waste of time, for me anyway. A second negative is that the inner dividing (very flimsy) curtain is really not very good. It doesn't reach the floor - there is a several inch gap at the bottom that I don't understand at all.... it doesn't attach to the main tent properly and when unzipped down the centre, there is no way to hold the the two halves clipped back.

I wanted a small tent for the back garden and for school camping trips with my daughters. I already own an 8 person Octagon tent and know how brilliant they are. So the plunge for such a good price on this tent made absolute sense. It is the perfect 3 person tent with a surprising about of space (due to the clever octagon design) for back garden sleeping and play, and as it folds down into an amazingly small bag (I was a bit surprised when it turned up but seems to be an ingenious little tardis) it is ideal for quick overnight camping trips with my daughters. In the 3 days I had it up in the garden, it has been tested out (inadvertently) with beautiful sunshine, strong gusty winds and some heavy rainfall - just another typical British June week - and it stood up to all of them like a plucky little scrapper.I honestly can't recommend this tent enough. For the £150(ish) I paid for it, it is a no-brainer.Happy camping - I hope this has helped.

It's almost as big as a circus tent, thus ideal for a family with loads of stuff. It easily fits one king size and one double mattress, leaving plenty of room for bags and moving about in the tent.Relatively waterproof, yet needed a coat of waterproofer to withstand a second thunderstorm. No issues with condensation, since the space between the mesh inside and the outer layer is a good 4 inches plus the ventilation is good due to open doorways. On a windy day you might however wish you had a tent which you could just zip up into a closed dome, since who cares about the nice view through the door when the wind is howling in your tent.Very easy to put up and pack and it pack into a relatively small (yet heavy)bundle. The hinged door is perfect!Only downside is that the tent doesn't have a hole for mains cable and the door zippers meet in the middle of the door way above the ground, so the cable hangs awkwardly in the tent.

Bought this tent from Costco a couple of years ago and we've used it a lot. First week of use we camped in France and enjoyed an absolute monster of a storm and it rattled away whilst 8-year-old slept soundly without waking. We've taken it on numerous UK-based trips since then and it's done nothing but make us very pleased with the purchase - something we always comment on. We camp with a self-inflatable mattress and proper duvet with pillows from home and we wake each morning commenting on how much we love the tent. We both have dodgy backs and yet we still relish sleeping in this tent, which is no problem to put up (for one) and no hassle to put down.I personally feel sorry when camping to see others in their dark, dingy tunnels.Sort yourself out with some covered outside seating area as this really is a large sleeping pod, and without a shelter you'll be wanting for cover if it gets wet.

This tent is fantastic for a family tent, we purchased the porch / awning separately and together they make for a great size space for a family of 4, tested in the storm that hit toward the back end of last year unfortunately we got caught out by the coast in torrential rain rolling thunder and lightening and winds estimated to be around 50 mph from 10pm through to 3 am, according to various weather apps. not that I would like to put the kids through that loud experience again.I was very surprised that we did not have any security issues with the tent or the porch they both stood up to the brunt of being in an open field on the top of the Yorkshire coastal cliffs in that gruelling weather I dare say, most family tents of a similar price would have been on their limits and I aren't saying this wasn't but I was very very pleased with its performance. not one loosened rope, tear or leak.10/10

This tent has a lot of good points. As a family of 5 plus a dog we were looking for a tent large enough to accommodate us all with room to spare and this did not disappoint. 5 single air beds and a dog bed with room to spare.Took me about an hour to pitch, however I did this solo and I feel it would only take half that next time round. Very easy to put together thanks to colour coding and all the joints for the poles already attached to the inner tent. We had a few light showers and the tent seems to be waterproofed well. Zero condensation on inside when we woke the next day. I am 6ft and could comfortably stand even at the edges of tent.Only have one grumble and it is very minor - what i would class as the back door has a window on it but the rigid front door doesn't.Minor disappointment but the only thing I can mark this tent down on. Excellent value for money.

Absolutely love this tent. It's beautiful, easy to put up (haven't tried it on the rain yet though, might be a problem as it's inner first, but it's quick to put up) and fantastic to be in. My six foot husband doesn't have to duck and it feels really spacious, especially with the windows open. It's also the only tent I've had which you can spend time in in hot weather as the windows really cool it down. I imagine it'll be a bit chilly in the autumn for the same reason. We've had it in pretty strong wind, which we didn't even notice until we opened the door. The door is also great, so much easier than zipping and unzipping. There's no awning space and the one that goes with the tent is ugly so we've got a tarp instead.Another possible minus is the amount of small children staring at it (it's circusy) but our kids love the reflected glory.

This is a great tent . Just spent 3 weeks camping . No heavy rains . We stayed dry in all the light / medium showers we did have. The lovely door is a bit of an inconvenience in that it doesn’t stay open . Next time we will be careful to make that door our back door and the roll open one our front door . Having read in reviews that it was really tricky to get the tent back in the bag we took along a £10 sports direct bag in case - glad we did - no way could we fit it in ! And now we can put our small carpet and dustpan and brush in same bag . We LOVE this tent- it’s bright and breezy and easy to put up . We would love to find the perfect awning to make a small Varandah/shelter outside the front door for cooking in the light drizzle type weather .Anyone find anything that fits well please let us know !

I liked this tent as I wanted one which was all the same height, there’s loads of room inside & really quick & easy to put up. My 2 teenage kids put it up themselves with no problem. The instructions are sewn into the bag. The divider bit you can put up across in the middle seems a bit flimsy & doesn’t really do a great deal, but at least you have the choice of it. There’s no gap for an electric cable to poke through,as it has a sewn in groundsheet,so we had to poke it through half way up the door, which was fine,as the 2 zips on the door meet in the middle. It has just had its 1st outing & our 1st night in Devon we had torrential rain & high winds,we pegged it well down with rock pegs & it was fine,no leaks & it didn’t move & none of the guy ropes slackened off.I’d recommend this tent.

To be honest I only camp at festivals, this has done two Glastoburys, one in appalling weather conditions. Theres only me and the wife in it so we have BAGS of space and, we can literally have ten friends WITH chairs round for a nice chat when its raining outside. It goes up easy and down the same, the rigid door is an excellent idea as is the fact that every side can be turned into big windows. It IS a bit heavy to lug distances but I use a 4 wheel gardening trolley to transport it, easy peasy. How many jealous people look on with envy at the speed it goes up and, the obvious size available to us inside. I am going to get the awning add on next, bit like building a conservatory on a house.Cant rate this product high enough and that's not something I say a lot,
