Couldn't wait for this to arrive, hoping it was a good purchase, as I haven't had this since i was a young adult. I ripped open the box, not as usual for me, and ahhhh, now i remember those Christmases, when mum always added a perfume set with the other gifts, and English Fern was a favourite of mine, even the soaps and bath sets other years that she often put in. I wanted to remember those times, and now i remember them better smelling this beautiful cologne. It's a really beautiful scent, with a sweet, light but rounded warmth, vanilla, almost a delicate coco butter, a light, a gentle soft note of citrus, and, of course, a soft, fresh fern finish. Gorgeous!! One of those, mmmmmm smells.

This is roughly what used to be known as a 'Chypre' scent. Very very old fashioned (I believe Colette's 'Claudine' wore it.) Mossy, musky, sweet but not too sweet. Being obsessed with retro scents it delights me.And the value! That great big bottle for that price! (Gasps.) Better put some in an atomiser and store the original bottle in the dark, and it will last you.If you're into this kind of scent I can't recommend too highly.

Lovely fresh cologne.Have used it for forty years ! Ideal for everyday use.Many compliments when used every day, even from complete strangers.Good value for money lasting fragrance when used so does not need frequent reapplication.Thank goodness it is still available online at excellent price as not seen in shops now. Will continue to reorder.I know at least four other regular users of this fragrance who would also recommend.

Lovely fragrance. Love that it’s not instantly recognisable. A firm favourite for me now. Smells very fresh, clean, quite unisex; I don’t like overly feminine floral fragrances. This is just lovely but not overpowering, you need to be stood by someone for them to smell it. Since I’ve been wearing it I’ve had lots of compliments & my boss has even bought it having smelt it on me.

I asked a total stranger at a bus stop what she was wearing as it smelled lovely, very fresh and not at all 'flowery'. When she told me it was this, her husbands cologne, I immediately ordered myself some. The bottle is a very generous size and is perfect for everyday use. Its not overpowering, and even thought its a blokes I get alot of compliments. Well worth investing in.

This was a superb product and I used it since the early sixties however 3-4 years ago the format changed and it was more floral less woody. My daughter also remarked on the disappointing change. Why mess with such a perfect product. I shall order now as it has disappeared from the high street . Hoping it has reverted to the original fabulous scent.

memories, brings back memories of when I worked in a store and the smells people wore, this one reminds me of a long time ago when I was a lot younger and I have always loved it, and people comment on it quite a lot, saying it reminds them of certain people and places. I would recommend it to anyone who is old enough to have memories.

Many people have remarked on how lovely is the fragrance of this cologne. It is also very reasonably priced as it lasts many months, even when using it every day, as I do. Definitely a favourite of mine. Refreshing, not heavy. It is difficult to get hold of now, so I am very grateful that I am still able to buy it via Amazon.

I have been using this lovely refreshing Bronnley cologne for many years but recently have not been able to find it anywhere. My usual stockists don't keep it anymore in favour of the newer fragrances. I am so pleased to find I can still get it from Amazon, go on try it, you'll feel refreshed all day and smell good too.

My other half has been using this scent for years, she uses the scent all over and it lasts a long time after a great night of dancing when we come home she still smells wonderful, this English fern is great value for money, I must say when we go out all the girls ask her what it is she is using as it is a great smell.

I’ve used Bronnleys English Fern for more than 20 years...it is very fresh, not heavy and lasts all day... I can wear expensive perfume and never get a complement, I wear the English Fern and people actually ask me what I am wearing... it’s very light very summery and still after all these years very cheap in price x

I have been using English Fern cologne for a few years now and find it a great everyday staple. I have had many compliments during this time and often people say it smells like an “expensive perfume”.also I struggle to find it for sale in normal high street retailers or chemists so it was a great find on EBay

This is the second Bronnley English Fern I have bought from Walthams. It is the genuine article, sent really quickly at the best price I could find it, including E-Bay. Also, the outer box was fine, not damaged, so would have been okay to give as a gift. I'd definitely use this seller again.

I have used Bronnley English Fern for as long as I can remember and I still love the smell,but I can't find it in any shop's these days so I was chuffed to find it on line.I ordered 3 bottles and it arrived a day earlier than expected so thankyou very much.Ill be back !!!

Purchased this for my mum for a Mother’s Day gift this year. She always wore this fragrance in the 1990’s but her local shop stopped stocking it. Was a real surprise when she opened it as she thought Bronnley had ceased its production. Good old Amazon!
