This is a fantastic product which combines two of Seachem’s must haves especially for a reef tank, MatrixCarbon and PhosGuard. These two products perform great as stand alones but when combined work synergistically together for a very effective result.Great at reducing unwanted nutrients such as phosphate silicate and toxins. If you have unwanted algae you need this! Even if your reading 0 nitrates 0 phosphate if you have algae your readings are incorrect as test kits have limitations they cannot show you nutrients locked up in rocks etc so this product is great at getting levels down.You will need about 1 to 1.5 grams of product per litre of water if your readings are low or you don’t have a

I always use this product. Great at filtering and keeping the water pure and clear. Helps filter out chemicals and also phosphates.My fish seem to like it as does the heavily planted aquarium. They are all brightly coloured and healthy.I use an external filter where I put this with Purigen.Needs a good rinse through (tepid water) before putting it in or you will have black water.Lasts a good while if you rinse it when cleaning the filter.

I custom built my filter in my sump to utilize the power of liquid fluidization filtration. This media fluidizes well due to its uniform circular shape. My water is crystal clear and I have no worries about ammonia or nitrite buildup. By fluidizing this product I have prolonged it usage well beyond its normal exhaustion rate. Kudos Seachem.

Bought this to control the algae in my turtle tank, it sits very near a window and algae has been a real problem. This stuff add to the activated charcoal in the filter pads took care of the problem in a matter of weeks. Will definitely buy again when I run low, worth the cost for the time savings.

Seachem has an incredible line of products. think of them as the Cadillac of what they do. I have been using for 3 years and will never use anything else for my Fluval Filter on my turtle tank. These products are of high quality and are tried and true.

This is a really great way to combine carbon filtration and phosphate removal in one product without needing to run a separate pump and reactor. Just follow the instructions and put some in a bag. Leave that bag in a high flow area. Done!

Can't really tell if it works or not to be honest, probably because I don't know what the issue is in my tank...whether it's silicates or not :/

Worked nicely. I found out that my tap water had a spike of phosphate and made a lot of algea. This helped me return my tank to normal.

Great product does what manufacturer products is suppose to do. Helps keep water clear and phosphates levels low and undetectable.

Soaked up excess phosphates before nuances algae could.Really helped tilt the battle against hair algae in my favor.

Worked well but it is heavier than most gfo so it needs bigger pump to tumble it.
