I haven't tried any new perfume for a long time so I was really looking forward to trying this one from All Saints. This is Incense City and although marketed for men and women, of the three scents in the range this is apparently the least 'masculine'.Please bear in mind that I am not a professional perfume reviewer so will try to make this review as clear as possible despite the lack of technical terminology!Firstly, presentation. This is a large bottle! It is packaged in a white box with a print of what I think is an allium. This print is also on the reverse of the label on the bottle. The bottle is square glass with a concrete lid - this was quite tough to remove (might just be my damaged hands).I think the glass and concrete combination are meant to represent city structures. When first sprayed I can clearly smell the cypress, fresher than perfumes I usually like. Something else is lingering underneath though, with a hint of warmth. As the perfume starts to settle on my skin I can begin to smell the cedarwood which is powdery but in an old books way, definitely not talc or floral. At the same time the perfume becomes more 'there', more solid if that makes sense? This is where I started to really like the perfume. As the incense starts to come through, with what could be amber, labdanum, something smoky that smooths the pepperiness. This is what lingers, and I really like it. This wamth is more in line with the perfumes I would usually choose. This lovely warm leathery old incense smell is wonderfully long lasting without being overwhelming or too strong.I keep smelling my wrists, I love it. Smoky woodsy amber warmth, nothing out of this world yet still an individual scent. No hesitation in recommending this perfume.I hope my review is useful and helps with your decision. If so, I would appreciate if you could click the helpful button, thank you.

I received this item on 29th October 2019 priced at £39.00 - cheaper than most retailers. It arrived in a cardboard "gift" box, which is strong and holds the heavy bottle securely. The fragrance is dispensed via a pump spray in small amounts. It is marketed as a unisex fragrance, but I think that the fragrance is quite masculine and therefore I am unlikely to give it to my wife. Personally I like the fragrance, although I don't routinely use products of this nature, I can see me using this on a daily basis. I would not know what Juniper Berry, Papyrus wood and Magnolia smell like, however I do like this fragrance and so does my wife like it on me; my niece has subsequently made a positive comment too.I do understand though that certain fragrances interact differently with some people. Perhaps that is why there are so many fragrances around and why we don't all smell the same.So five stars? A top rating. Yes. It is powerful, no question, therefore less is more. I am male, aged 60+ and I feel that I can carry a fragrance this strong. I have found that one spray, two at the most at my neck line, then shared with my wrists (in touch with my feminine side) is sufficient for me to ensure that I carry a nice but not overpowering odour. In terms of quality and price, well that is up to the individual. Personally I can see this bottle lasting me for around 6 months and will likely be applied daily after I have been to the gym.Honest appraisal and I like it - I hope that it stays in production. Harpers Bazaar rated it 8 out of 15 tested in December 2018 and the reviewers liked it too.

It’s an unusual scent this one, but I rather like it. In an odd way, it smells of old pubs- a musky mix of whisky, light sweat and dark wood. That makes it sound like it ought to be terrible, but in fact it kind of works. There’s a fruity top end to end that balances it out quite well and the result is something that’s quite traditionally masculine, yet manages not to seem old-fashioned. Crucially, when I say that it’s masculine, it certainly isn’t “for men only”- it suits a woman just as nicely, and in fact probably comes across as more characterful when worn by a woman. It’s rather smartly presented, in a relatively minimalist white box with simple print, and in a robust but unimaginatively shaped glass bottle. The only unusual twist is the cap, which feels like it might be made of smoothed pumice stone somehow, but which is lightweight like plastic. The top is quite ‘sticky’ and you need a bit of masculine strength just to pop it off! The artwork visible through the bottle is a nice touch, making your fragrance look (a little) like a very small piece of glass-framed artwork for your bathroom. I like the understated branding of it.In a blind smell test, I don’t think anyone’s going to be able to pick out this Metal Wave scent distinctly compared to its competitors- it’s hardly a revolutionary fragrance, especially not in the men’s market. But it is a durable scent, extremely pleasant to wear and to sniff, and a step above our recent fragrance experiences, so I’m rather pleased with it.

I'm not surprised that reviews on this perfume are so contradictive! If my husband wrote it, he would give it 1 star for sure. As this is a unisex perfume (I've never tried any of those before!), both of us decided to try it and see who likes it more. Well. My hubby was first and... he didn't like it. He commented that the scent was not masculine enough for him and it didn't last on his skin at all!My turn was way more successful. I loved the smell. I can't say this perfume is more for women or men. It's such an individual thing, based on "like" or "don't like". The scent itself is "woody floral", not sweet, but gentle (just like needed) and elegant. I sprayed some (not much, just usual wrists and behind ears) at about 9 am and could still feel it on myself in the evening. Moreover, after shower next morning, I sniffed my wrist and could definitely still smell a bit of the perfume. I enjoy it when I wear it, I think I'm addicted) This is soooo impressive. It lasts so long on my skin, no top up during the day needed, and taking into account that this is 100 ml bottle, this will last very very long.It would be a good, bargain gift buy as well, as this is 100 ml for less than 50 quid. Other brands might cost twice as much. And let's remind: this is not EDT, this is EDP!My huge respect to the All Saints brand and well deserved 5 stars.

Sunset Riot by All Saints is an Eau De Parfume that gives you an intense sweet pink floral scent that has a masculine overtone that I can only describe as spiced peppery cedarwood. After the fragrance absorbs into the skin it continues to be a prominently floral and still provide a subtle peppery overtone that tantalises the nose. It’s a delicate fragrance yet somehow quite explosive and punchy. It’s a unisex parfum that gives a great fusion of femininity and masculinity. The product comes in a minimalistic white gift box and is well secured and packaged in a white carboard holder. The bottle itself is made from thick glass, but most interestingly the cap is made of what I believe is concrete. It’s a unique design that lends itself to being contemporary modern, and honestly looks and feels great. The sprayer itself gives you a nice full burst of fragrance that you only need to squirt a few times. The fragrance lasts for pretty much most of the day, and starts falling off late in the evening after dinner.Overall, this is a superbly nice fragrance that gives me something different to use and enjoy than the usual Men’s Eu De Toilette’s I have in my collection. It’s very hard to give a fair review of this kind of product. Perfumes are a bit like Marmite, you can love it or hate it. It’s a shame we haven’t come up with a way to attach a smell to a web page like we add photos and videos.I’m not a lover of perfumes for men or women and there’s nothing I hate more than a person smelling like the cosmetics counter at Debenhams. I remember my grandfather saying was I was young, “What smell are they trying to cover up?” That’s always stuck with me.So, I am looking at the All Saints Sunset Riot from that point of view. Surprisingly, I am quite impressed. It is very subtle and in no way overpowering. I know its an Eau De Parfum, which can be quite subtle, generally they are still too much for my liking. On application, it smells quite strong but fades away quickly. Then for several hours, it gives you a gentle waft of perfume. It’s really hard to describe the smell. It’s a fairly neutral smell but I would say it’s more lady like than gentleman but that’s purely a personal feeling. I wouldn’t wear it myself but then again, I won’t wear anything like that. Even my deodorants have to be odour free.Overall, I believe less is more and this definitely falls into that category. Would I recommend it? Yes, I would.

I have never had a unisex fragrance that both I and my partner have used. We’ve always used different things. I’ve not found the one-for-both thing works. Putting that aside, this is a pleasing fragrance, strong with floral cypress top notes, given a bit of body with deeper musky, woody smells.A single spray-press delivers plenty of scent, which is a bit overpowering for a couple of minutes, before settling into those deeper notes. Still, the cypress comes through to maintain a little freshness. It lasts for hours and hours. When applied at sunrise, it’s still doing its stuff at sunset. This is certainly a genuine eau de parfum.Presentation is great. The box is almost identical to those used for Miller Harris perfumes, such as Powdered Veil and Terre d’Iris, which start at well over £140, but the bottle itself does look boring next to one from Miller Harris.Incense City has dropped in price a lot since launch earlier in 2019, to about the £39 mark on Amazon. At this price, it is still a lot more expensive than things like CK One, the price of which has been bouncing around the £20 mark for a while. But it serves up a much more complex and longer lasting scent.

Incense City is one of three new fragrances by British fashion retailer, AllSaints, the other two being Sunset Riot and Metal Wave. This spray is an Eau de Parfum, rather than an Eau de Toilette, so offers a more concentrated scent giving a longer-lasting effect – this helps to justify the price. It is difficult to accurately describe a fragrance in a way that another user may be able to judge it's suitability but this spray does have a recognisable air of incense and cypress, plus the unmistakably musky notes of cedarwood. The AllSaints brand has been around since the mid nineties and is known for being somewhat upmarket and trendy – so these three new fragrances are bound to prove popular with their regular clientele.Currently something under fifty pounds for a 100ml spray from Amazon this Spanish-made Eau de Parfum is attractively presented in an exclusively designed AllSaints fragrance box and is actually quite good value for the quality and brand-name at this price. Described as unisex it could have a universal appeal although my wife has claimed it before I could try it more than a couple of times – five stars as a Christmas gift idea.

This is an eau de parfum, marketed under the Revlon umberella. One of three fragrances to be released by this British company allsaints. It is priced at around fifty pounds or just under, making it it a medium range fragrance. It's unisex, and synthetic. It's supposed to be a 'fresh fruity' scent, but also musky oriental. The bottom notes are definitely musk, woody, with a hint of grit. I suspect that's the papyrus wood. Middle notes are more honey than fruit, sweet with a citrus tang. The magnolia is quite marked, and I like that immensely. The top note, quite sharp fruity, is reminiscent of gin...that's the juniper berry, right there! This crisp note wears off quite quickly on me,leaving a musky scent that is sweet without being sugary or overblown. As the edp title suggests, it's both masculine and feminine, sensuous but with a subtle edge. Sillage is great, I've had it on about four hours, and it smells as if I'd just applied it. It isn't a knock em dead perfume, but it is sophisticated without being blowsy, announced ones entrance without fanfare. I would wear this every day, all year round, in work and outside.

I have the All Saints Metal Wave and the bottle is really really elegant and beautiful, I am going to use later when will be finished for decoration because is really amazing, the tap is cork and is greatly different when you opened the texture and the sound is great suits perfect with the tone of wood in the smell. The size is 100 ml.The main components are, Magnolia, Juniper Berry and Papyrus Wood, I can't feel the different textures when I smell but I can feel the wood and is a great idea for a men's perfume, with the difference of something sweet and masculine. The berry give a fruit taste that sometimes you can feel over the wood.I think they found a perfect balance in the sweetener of this fragrance.I didn't smell the other two that they have but dependently I am very happy with this smell on my partner. The smell stays in the skin and clothes, that is nice. They come in a nice cardboard box if you would like for a gift.

One of the first fragrances from the new gender neutral All Saints collection, Incense City is a great description for the Eau De Parfum that is inside the bottle. Evoking a night out in a city, this is a longlasting scent that lingered on my clothes throughout the day, woody and smoky - I got lots of compliments whilst wearing it at work, with people asking what it was. It smells fairly unique, with keynotes of:- cypress- cedarwood- incenseCypres itself is not something I have ever smelled - it's apparently an evergreen tree that is similar to pine, but this does not smell similar to pine to me. I would say the incense and cedarwood are very present, creating an 'oriental', peppery scent. It actually smells quite masculine, in my opinion, but it does lighten during the day.I love this fragrance and will definitely be adding this to my scent rotation.

Lovely scent from this 100ml bottle which is also unisex - if your other half loves the smell just as you do, they'll be after this straight away!It has a great mix of smells, being Cypress, Cedarwood and Incense - this is long lasting and not overly strong. It stays with you easily throughout the day and the smell will hang onto the clothes to keep you smelling nice all day. This is a glass bottle that comes in a basic packaging. It doesn't stand out on the shelf or scream excitement but when using it, it gives a whole other story. It has a unique lid to this - strong and secure but for aesthetic purposes, I don't think this fits in well with the rest of the presentation.Overall, really love the scent coming from this and look to purchase more once this runs out!If this was helpful, please tap that helpful button below - Cheers!

Inviting, cosy and clean amber scent. Addictive skin scent which is very unisex. Can be worn as a signature throughout the year. Sweet without being cloying. Both playful and sophisticated. Has a similar vibe to Baccarat Rouge. The opening has a slightly medical clean twang which quickly dries down to a soft floral, woodsy spicy, powdery, soapy slightly aquatic addictive fragrance. Good longevity on my skin -8hrs - clothes 12hr +. My young daughter ran a cuddled me and told me I smelled nice upon waering it, and then became my shadow for the next 4 hrs (high praise indeed! ) Leaves a soft trail/sillage which you may not detect yourself as the wearer - but others will. I suspect it has some unlisted ambroxan /ambergris / musk / suede notes in there which would explain that effect. Excellent value for money. Would recommend.

The eau de parfum comes in a 100ml bottle, the packaging looks expensive, coming in a white box with the name of the perfume marked in black letters on the outside. The bottle looks rugged and square which I find is more masculine than feminine. It has a strong atomizer which dispenses a good amount of perfume with each press but I think one press is enough because too much is overpowering. The perfume is strong and long lasting but personally I think it is a man’s scent and my husband agrees. It is now his scent and it is actually quite pleasant on him. It has a very woody, musky, warm sort of smell. I could imagine James Bond using this, a suave and sophisticated scent. £49 is a steal, subscribe and save even cheaper. It would make a great present for a man but personally I wouldn’t choose it for a woman.

We loved this All Saints Incense City unisex EDP, it has a unique woody and incense scent to it, it made us both think of Christmas, so ideal for winter. It starts off with a fresh scent but becomes more incense-like after a short while. The bottle is nice but nothing outstanding. It has an interesting picture on the back of the bottle which, I assume, denotes dried plants and an 'explosion' of incense. The clear bottle has a label on the front and a hefty lid. Once removed, it's easy to spray directly on skin.My wife found this was more to her liking than I did, though it is certainly suitable for both men and women as it has a unique smokey scent, it's not particularly one way or the other and I would happily wear this as well. The scent lasted most of the day, which was a pleasant surprise.
