Do you remember how in the 80s men thought it was sexy to grope women, punch men, entertain incredibly poor personal hygiene standards and most pertinently, use aftershave that smelled like a cross between paint thinner and drain cleaner? Unfortunately, macho men have a long legacy of doing strange stuff that they wrongly assume is attractive to women... like bullying their nerd boyfriend, or rating their cleavage within earshot.CK ONE is an eau de toilet that doesnt actually smell like chemicals you use to clean toilets ..... unlike most aftershaves that young men adopt because they think woman LIKE choking on vapour.Its subtle, vaguely citrus, and the reason Calvin Klein keeps selling it,

After trying out this Ck One perfume i instantly loved the smell! It also didn't leave my skin feeling sticky like perfumes I've tried in the past have. This perfume was nice strong smell, enough for someone to smell it on you as you walked past them but it wasn't over powering which I think is great. When it came down to how long a perfume lasts once applied, I wouldn't say this one was one of the best. which is the reason I have only been able to give it 4 stars out of 5. It lasts for a good two hours maybe before I have to reapply, meaning it would have to be carried around with me in my bag. Whereas I prefer to just be able to spray a nice amount on me in the morning before I go out and for it to atleast last more than 2 hours the most.

When it comes to new perfume I am a huge fan but often disappointed as many are too strongly scented. As a nurse I need to be careful that the scent is not too overpowering as it could cause problems with patients breathing, so I was delighted to find that CK One is the perfect choice for me. The scent is refreshing, not too overpowering but strong enough to remain sweet smelling after a full day of long hours at work. The bottle is sleek, easy to pop in your work bag or even in your clutch bag on a night out! It's really handy that it comes with a lid and a perfume spray attachment - I choose to use the lid when travelling and the perfume spray attachment when at home, so I got the best of both worlds.

Looking at the simple yet sophisticated packaging, I felt a sense of excitement to see what the bottle looked like and of course how the fragrance smelled. First impression of the bottle I was a little disappointed and the feel of the glass I didn't really like. What makes up for that is the gorgeous fragrance you can smell as it's bursting to get out. My husband was also impressed with the smell so I've ended up saving on buying perfume and aftershave in the long run. I did think a unisex fragrance would be impossible but this doesn't disappoint. I've also had to hide it from my almost 12 year old son or he would have claimed this as his own. Wore to a meal with friends last night and was asked numerous times what I had on.

I've been wearing CK one since it was launched in the mid 90s and have been very pleased with Amazons supply.They obviously acquire their stock on the "Grey Market" (nothing wrong with that, The Perfume Shop and Superdrug do the same) and get stock from different parts of the world. The last two I brought were manufactured in Italy and France respectively. That's why there are slight differences in the boxes.Speaking of the boxes, they have never been shrink wrapped. CK one comes in a plain bleached/light cardboard box. That's it. No-one has opened and tampered with it.You know the scent I'm sure. Fresh, slightly crisp and light.

Based on the available evidence this appears to be a genuine Calvin Klein product; the box is high quality, the contents all match legit products. I mention this because some reviewers have questioned Amazon's stock; my example is a good one.The scent is really nice and even after 6 hours is persisting well and evolving. It has a subtle citrus fruit aroma; melon, very light lemon, very tiny lime. I didn't enjoy it in the first 30 minutes as much as the next 5.5 hours so it, for me at least, takes a few minutes to settle in; now it's great. The bottle arrives capped with a separate applicator system in the box; remove the cap and screw on the applicator. I like this and will be wearing it often.

I brought this item in a rush on the way to work, when I opened to box I was confused as it had both a screw top and a squirter, Have I just brought a mens fragrance, I asked myself. Feeling a bit foolish decided it was best to have a quick google, Well what dya know, This little fragrance of genius is designed for both men and women!! Then it suddenly dawned on me that it probably should have been a little more obvious given the name "one" Anyway my boyfriend and I decided to try it out together Her verdict : A lovely light fragrance that just throws you into summer from the moment you squirt it, doesn't last as long as I would have liked so top ups are essential! His verdict : Nice! (Lol)

I couldn't wait to try his scent and sprayed it on straight away. The smell reminds me of late 90s (in a good way!) and is clean and fresh. It is long lasting to which is always a bonus point in my book! After trying it on myself my boyfriend want a try and it smells even better on him than it does me! There are some floral notes to it which seem to be very floral on me but toned down on him to a more manly scent. I didn't know this was possible but it really does smell like two amazing scents on both of us! The bottle and packaging is a lovely classic design too and looks great on our bathroom shelf. All in All a great fragrance that I would recommend to men and women.

CK One is a brilliant scent for every day use. I have found that a couple of sprays lasts all day, and have had many comments about how nice I smell. One of the great things about this scent is that both you and your partner can wear it, it suits everyone. I guess that's why it's called One. The simple design of the box and bottle also means it can be left on display anywhere. It smells really fruity, but is still subtle, and suitable for work or evening in my opinion. I spray it on my wrists and neck and you do not need to use much to get the nice smell for the day. Overall it's a great scent that everyone needs in their collection, it's a classic and I love it.
