I always like Birkenstock, had a pair of slippers years ago but that was the only pair cuz, obviously, they are not the cheapest shoes.I bought this Boston pair to wear at home because for me, Birkenstock's material isn't too hot during warm days, and when it's really cold, I can just add socks. My feet sweat a lot, I get foot odor quite easily but not when I'm wearing Birkenstock. That's another reason I bought them. And I can also wear them to my garden (or the supermarket near us) w/o changing shoes, I know I am lazy, but I think that's what's Birkenstock is for! Considering how many hours I wear them everyday, they are actually quite reasonable price! Before I placed the order,I read other customer's review and took the advice to order 1 size down my usual size and they fit perfectly! Maybe that's something all customers need to consider before you order. Either try them on at shops, or just very carefully measure your feet width and length. Hope you'll love them as much as I do!UPDATE: 5/1/2015 love them! wear them everyday at home and still going strong. Very little foot odor.

I currently have a pair of Arizona sandals, that I have used for at least a couple of years. The cork footbed has broken down at the heel and toe, but I wear them every day indoors. The molded shaped footbed is excellent for encouraging good posture, but is also very comfortable. Those were purchased in a local store and were fitted before purchase. A size 8 proved to be the best fit even though I use size 9 UK footwear. This time I have bought the Boston style shoe, as I was always banging my toes on furniture with the open sandal. I choose size 9 UK as a guard against them being too small. The size 9 seems ok so far, but with only one day use the leather is still quite stiff. In comparison with the open sandals, these seem rather clunky, but I guess I will get used to that. They are very well made from quality materials and with the front area better protected, the cork will hopefully remain undamaged for much longer.

I bought these as rugged slippers and after a week's wear I'm now used to the highly-contoured footbed. If you've never worn Birkenstocks (as I hadn't), try a pair first maybe, because the feel of the footbed can come as a surprise. However, give it time and you'll almost certainly really like it. I do feel like I've stepped straight out of a painting by Brueghel [...] but after having worn Crocs for quite some time, these feel relatively shapely.I appreciate the fact that the Birkenstock logo is placed on the inner flank of the shoe, which is more subtle that flashy branding. Only four stars because I do think they take the mick a little bit with the price. I did try to support local shops before buying on Amazon, but in a way I was relieved that I couldn't find what I wanted in my size, because the price on Amazon was significantly less. Still costly for such a simple, mass-produced shoe, however well-made.

If you buy this, it will ship from Germany (third party seller) to Canada. and you will pay an additional amount when you received the product. what you are likely to pay is: ( product + international shipping cost ) + (GST+PST+INTERNATIONAL HANDLING FEE) = appx. $195. so if you think you've found a good deal, think again. However, the seller is easy to be contacted and the actual shipping day is appx around 2.5 to 3 weeks. You may get a duplicate pin and unable to track the parcel once it preceded the international handling process in Montreal or anywhere. The product is what you're expecting. comfy and true size. However, I'd recommend buying half size up if you want a little room.

Now retired I spend much more time at home wearing house shoes, so it makes sense to buy footwear that are supportive and bombproof. These are both. Very comfortable for slightly arthritic feet, well insulating cork soles for cold floors, suitable for popping outside for firewood, herbs whatever, and cooking spills just wipe off (provided you wax them occasionally). Should last years, but will buy again when necessary. One word of caution .... the sizing system is a nightmare and the first pair went back (more expense!). Your best bet is to put your foot on a sheet of paper mark toes and heel, measure in millimetres and choose the size that matches your measurements.

I wear Birkenstock sandals all summer and decided to try the clogs for the winter. I need the support of the footbed for a foot condition and miss this in the colder months. I can confidently recommend these clogs - they are comfortable, stylish and a lovely colour. I would like one of each colour if I could afford it! I would point out that the dye from the leather is coming off onto my socks because they are new so don't wear your favourite light coloured socks to begin with - a minor detail. As usual for Birkenstocks the shoes are superbly made and I look forward to comfort everyday this winter - brilliant clogs : )

Replacement for a pair I bought and wore for 15 years everyday (yes every single day) around the house. These are a narrower fit than the first pair I bought and they fit very well. I'll need to wear them in for few months before I can get my thick winter socks on.These have a rigid cork soul moulded to your feet, so there's a pronounced instep and a moulding for your toes. Your heel rests in a pronounced depression also, so there's no slipping off. The buckle allows for some adjustment. These clogs have an uncanny way of being warm in winter to wear yet cool in summer. They also never pick up foot odour.

Elegant and ladylike these shoes are not, but I've loved Birkenstocks for years because they support the arches of the feet and they last for years (if you can find a way to stop them smelling). For my fairly wide feet, the Regular (wider) fitting is right, and although I normally wear size 41 shoes, the 40 is correct for me in Birkenstocks. One thing to be aware of here: check the width fitting as I got two different widths when I ordered two pairs even though I clicked on the same size button. Also check what they are made of as they are not all leather.

I’m in love.I have planters fasciitis. I also work 10hr shifts in a casino....lots of walking on hard floors.I’ve tried alegria shoes, danscos clogs, sketchers tennis shoes, and crocks. I’ve tried arch bands, and confining socks. Nothing seems to give me a day without pain.Until I got these.... the first week my feet rubbed on the arches funny and made my feet achy, but my heals weren’t hurting so I kept wearing them. I’ve been wearing them every shift now for 3 weeks. And I’m heal pain free for the most part.Do yourself favor and get some birks!!

Wonderful clogs.I bought the Arizona sandals for our holidays and then bought a pair of these for less sunny climes as soon as we got back. Both pairs are probably the most comfortable things I have ever worn on my feet!Buying a smaller size than you normally would is certainly not necessarily a good idea, many reviewers recommend it. But I bought my usual size and that was perfect. The width is an issue though and the narrow ones don't give much room for feet to move.I have quite narrow feet but I sent them back and got the normal width.Perfect!

These clogs are very comfortable and give your feet great support. The fleece is cosy and so far hasn't clumped up. I love the comfort of Birkenstocks and am glad they come in clogs so I can wear them in cooler weather as well. Not suitable for rainy days as they are suede but also come in leather so they could be worn in wet weather. The sizing is as expected and they can be purchased in slim fit or normal fit. The buckle can be let out or in to suit your foots width. Would recommend if you like comfortable footwear!

These shoes are great and comfy, the Havana dark matt leather is gorgeous. They are good with bear feet as well as tights or socks.Bear in mind:1, these are a wide fit, and i knocked holes into the straps so i could have them tighter.2, it is totallyy worth working out what size you are in birkenstocks by trying them on before buying a pair! the first pair I bought were a bit to big and were exhausting to walk in. go a little smaller if anything.

These are wonderful clogs. I followed advice and sized down to 37 when I am 38 in everything else.I love the fact that they are narrow fitting so there is no gaping around the top and sides and they don't look huge. They were a bit snug when I first got them so I wore them around the house with socks for a few days which as loosened them up a bit. They are now perfect for me, with or without socks and don't rub in any way

I have another pair of Birkenstock Boston clogs I've had for about 20 years. They've been resoled and recorked a few times. After years of having jobs requiring me to stand all day every day, nothing is more important to me than comfort. In addition to that, I like the classic look.Cheap shoes are no bargain. Birkenstocks are comfortable and durable. This is a purchase chosen for quality, not a short-lived trend.

I have had various styles of Birkenstocks over the past twentyfive years. Needless to say I find them so comfortable. However this is my first pair made of 'natural leather'. To find out how best to protect and care for this material I ended up phoning Birkenstock for their recommendations. Soft cloth and possibly beeswax! I have yet to try this as I love them the way they are.
