You get twenty felt pens in this pack from BIC - 2 browns, 4 blues, 2 greens, 1 purple, 1 grey, 1 black, 4 pinks, 1 orange, 3 yellows and 1 red. One of the yellows and one of the pinks is fluorescent. The colours are bright and sharp, though the pack feels like it is lacking in darker colours (no navy blue and no dark green but four pinks). Even though they're described as a medium block tip you can actually get quite a fine line with these. Children who prefer to cover large areas of a page with colour quickly may find that the nib is not big enough. You can use the side of the felt tip to get greater coverage but I think these are better used by older children who perhaps want a little morecontrol over where the colour is going. The case feels quite sturdy and should last provided it is looked after. I don't think it will stand up well to being repeatedly stood on. They are recommended for children aged 5+, so should probably be kept away from younger siblings. However, if the worst comes to the worst, the ink should wash out of clothes and does wash off skin with soap (and no scrubbing). At the current price of 8.99 they work out at just under 45p a pen, which does seem on the expensive side if they aren't going to be taken care of. Curiously the wallet of 18 pens with 6 extra free (so 24 pens) is currently cheaper, so if you like these pens, that might be the more economic option, if you're happy not to have the case.

Felt Tip pens mean fun, but they also mean danger. I remember that they always left a far better mark on the paper than crayons of pencils, but they also left a far better mark on the wall or furniture too. The ‘BIC Kids Kid Couleur Colouring Pens’ purport to wash out of most clothes, so at least you have a chance that your child’s favourite top will survive, or that you can wash down the couch. It will take a braver person than I to try scrawling on a t-shirt to see if this works, but the claim alone suggests that they will wash out better than a permanent marker. The pens themselves are also well designed for kids. The nib is a little short and stumpy to try and avoid in retracting down into the pen should a child press down on them.If they are whacked, the nib will push down still, but it is harder to do than normal. Strangely, the tips themselves are almost a little too fine, which is great for detail, but makes them a little harder to use for younger children. They will have to learn to colour with the side of the nib to get a large amount of the page covered. The colours on offer cover all the classics and are bright. They all come packed in a little packet that can be closed again. This case is flimsy if you stand on it, but holds up well enough if you want to move the pens around sensibly.

There is a certain look that crosses a parent's face when they see their child reach for the felt tip pens. It is a knowing face of horror as they recall all the outfits ruined and furniture sullied all for the gods that are felt tip pens. With their vibrancy, they are just more fun to use than crayons or pencils, but what a cost. This is why the 'BIC Couleur Felt Tip Pens' are so great. They are water based and are therefore easier to clean off, they certainly come off hands quickly, but I have yet to sacrifice a piece of clothing to them just to see what happens. Being water based you would think that some of the pop would be lost, but I found that colour wise they are on par with what I am used to.Being BIC they also seem to be a little better in quality and they are not instantly running out. This particular set comes with two identical sets of 18, which is great if you have two kids. The colours span the usual suspects, but do throw in a few shades of blues and reds that you would not always get. A quality set of felt tip pens that go above and beyond what you would normally get, at a reasonable cost.

This pack of 24 pens are exactly what every parent needs on hand when their child wants to progress from the world of pencils and enter the exciting world of felt tips! There are plenty of different colours for your child to choose from. The nibs are reasonable in size, without being too large for small areas of colour. The ink does not bleed through the paper, like some other brands have been known to do. Where these do stand out as a better quality of pen is in the area of 'accidental' ink application. I can confirm that the pen is extremely easily removed from skin and wooden table surfaces.Fortunately, we haven't yet experienced 'accidental' application to clothing so I cannot fully report.I did, however, apply some purple ink to an old tea towel. Upon washing the tea towel it became apparent that, like most ink, it doesn't come out with normal washing. It did, however, fade considerably.Overall, they are good pens which are nice to use. They also are fairly washable, although I wouldn't advise relying on their 'ultra washable' properties in relation to clothing any time soon.

This pack has twenty washable felt tip pens, with a short tip, which does not bend or retract even if your child is quite heavy handed, and nicely packaged in a plastic container, with a lid that closes. As such, these are ideal for travelling – they are much easier to pack away than pens held in the usual cardboard or plastic wallets. However, the top of the box is a little difficult to get off and, along with the fact that the pens have quite a fine nib, probably make them better for slightly older children (approx 5+) rather than toddlers. They are certainly good for colouring more intricate pictures and adding detail. These are washable, but do not have the promise of some of the Bic Felt Tips I have reviewed, which stated they would not dry out if left with the lids off. Still, they are useful if your child tends to push down on pens and break the nibs and are ideal if that is the case. Overall, good quality and the packaging is great if you want to make sure your kids tend to leave pens everywhere and lose them.

My son likes drawing, but isn't a natural at art like his sister. He's been keen to get some pens for a while, so when I was offered these Bic pens through the Vine programme, I was keen to get them for him to try. He's 6, and has reasonably good dexterity for his age, but still isn't great at very fine motor skills yet. These pens are a nice balance for him - a fairly fine tip, without being so fine and narrow that he bends/breaks them quickly. They are capable of pretty fine lines, though - around 1.5-2mm I guess, and the colours are really vibrant, with a good mix of shades. They're easy to hold, with good lids that aren't difficult for little hands to get on and off, and the storage box is equally easy to use, sturdy and practical too. We've had them a few weeks now, and are very happy with them - a great set for 6-8 year olds in particular, I'd say.

These colouring pens are super colourful and have all the shades little ones need to make their little creations. Parents can relax in the knowledge that their little Picasso can colour to their hearts content and any mess on the table, chairs, wall, windows, clothing etc. can easily be wiped or washed away. Just a damp cloth or a baby wipe can instantly wipe away pen from the furniture and any pen that gets on clothing comes off easily on a cool wash with non bio. The performance of these pens is great too, colours are vibrant and pens are easy to use. The kids also have a similar Crayola version of pens but for us, these have the edge. The nibs are finer and more precise and having clear lids makes it easier to tidy away, not having to worry about colour matching tops with pens. Faultless and a fair price.

These are high quality felt tipped pens, amongst the best for children. The colour selection within the pack of 24 is an impressive range with all bases covered, my children have every colour they need. They've been given plenty of abusive welly by my five year old who has used them every day for two weeks, left their lids off, scrawled across dozens of sheets of paper, her hands, her top (accidentally)... And still, they live on, ready to colour another day. The colours are vibrant and the tips run smoothly across paper. They evidently contain plenty of ink.I also really like the design of these pens, and the way they feel in the hand. I'd have been quite happy to own a set too,but it didn't dawn on me to order beyond a couple of packets for two bored children. Oh well!

What makes these felt pens different from those my daughter used two decades ago is that they are washable which is an excellent advantage. I found they instantly wash off skin just using hot water - even without soap.I like the idea of the sturdy case although if you are like me they may end up all over the floor when you are taking the lid off.I think the colours are absolutely lovely, quite unusual shades, many pretty muted pastel colours. There are apparently two "fluorescent colours" which could be any of the bright pink and...red? purple? They colour and write beautifully and could be used for both writing texts and colouring in.The pen lids may be difficult to remove and replace for verysmall hands.I think the price is fair for what seems like a quality product.

First up, I was confused how many packs are provided, so I will note that two packs were sent to me in an outer cellophane package, so it looks like the product consists of two identical packs of 18 pens. The pens colour very well, and the ink flow is good. The tip is pointed but sturdy and you can angle it to get a thinner or wider line. The range of colours is pretty good, you get one red and three pinks, a couple of oranges, two blues, three greens, one purple white and black. And two browns. It seems like you could do decent skin tones with the pinks and browns, even though they are marketed to kids I'd say adults could use them for "proper art"!Overall very impressed but you'd have to need two packs. Many people do have two kids so it makes sense.

These felt tipped pens are absolutely brilliant! In the clear packet you get 2 sets. And they are the same colours in each pack. Perfect for siblings who don’t like to share, perfect for parents to share with their children. Or like us we had one set to colour with and our granddaughter had the other set!I used our sets for just that! While I coloured in my book my granddaughter coloured in her Trolls colouring book. She presses quiet hard on pens and pencils. These felts too the strain of that pressure without splaying the tips or pushing the tips back into the barrels of the pens. These felts are fantastic value for money. And the quality is second to none. You really can’t go wrong at all! When these are used up I shall be buying more.

BIC is a go to name for myself when purchasing felt tips for children. I will admit that I don't use them for my own craft projects but that is only because they are not made for that purpose but for bright, bold and great coverage colour application they are perfect. The pens can be used for both writing, drawing and colouring in. They are long lasting and the colour spectrum is covered within this pack. The pens themselves are perfect for childrens' hands once they get past those chunky first pens/crayons which are great for toddlers as they experiment making their first marks. These pens are perfect for school pencil cases or for home craft projects where children want to express themselvescreatively for hours on end.

These are a great set of pens which I got at a great price. The colours are good although a lot darker on paper than the casing indicates. The kids are a little loose and we have now lost one but for now the pen is hanging in there without the lid and just a bit of cling film! My only criticism, and it's a fairly important one for me, is that this doesn't wash out. My son has gotten ink on several items of clothing, various fabrics poly cotton and cotton and it won't budge, I've washed and soaked and stain removered, even left them flat out in blazing direct sunlight for over 24 hours and nothing. The pyjamas cost more than the pens so it's annoying but they are getting lots of use and enjoyment so that the main thing.

The 'BIC 962702 Couleur Felt Tip Colouring Pen - Multi-Colour' is a double pack of felt tip pen wallets, each containing 18 different colours. My review set comprised two sets packaged together, with a 'do not split' label on the cellophane, so I assume that this is the usual presentation. The range of colours is good , and the pen barrels are slim enough for small hands to wield them comfortably, without being too small for adults to hold them easily. The nibs are quite slim, and they produce a good thin line if required, while also being capable of producing a thicker one if used at an angle. The ink washes out of clothing readily,so is great for use with smaller children.Great set of child-safe felt pens.

I was quite impressed with these when I looked closely. Sensibly and attractively packaged there is a really good range of colours here/ I like the medium tip. It is small enough to be able to do some writing with - the little ones like that. Equally it is broad enough to use for colouring too. Vital for the smaller ones is the fact that they seem to be washable inks. With grandchildren of 4 and 7 among other ages these work well for both those ages. The four year old loves the colour range and the seven year old can do some "proper" colouring. I'd suggest these would be a good buy for youngsters over quite an age range - I'll update this if any interesting comments are made by the children
