Let me start by addressing the downside of this pack. If you don't read the detail you may well dear this pack thinking that it has silver and gold ink pens. If, like me, you often look for these as Christmas approaches to write your cards and gift labels, then you will be disappointed! This is a simple (cheap) bic blue ink biro sprayed gold, and another bic black biro sprayed silver! What a disappointment! However the two four way biro pens are a different issue. Everyone knows how useful they are (particularly if you are a teacher), having blue, black, red and green refills all in one smart barrel, that allows you to change colour in an instant. They are not cheap when bought alone, which makes this gift pack good value even though the two standalone pens look like they are going to be more than they are. The fact is these two four-way pens are identical except that one is silver and one gold, which makes them look really smart.A really cool gift pack that doesn't have any silver or gold ink, but smartens up your regular pens.

This is sold as a Christmas set which leads to an age old problem. If you purchase it as a stocking filler, does the recipient have to wait until next Christmas to use the pens? Well, obviously not, but this is an undeniably festive selection of writing tools that can somehow add to the experience of scribbling in all those Christmas cards.Nice and shiny silver a gold ball point pens, these are the BICs you know and love, although they do feel a little lighter than usual and the caps aren't chewy(!). Likewise, the 4 colour pens are the same as ever apart from the shiny gold and silver bodies. At first glance you might reasonably expect these to contain silver and gold ink. They do not. It's a nicely packaged set but it does feel like there should be some good or silver ink included. However, if you don't like writing your cards or gift labels in gold or silver ink, it's a moot point to grinch about.

Don't be mistaken in thinking these are gold and silver ink pens. I thought that is what they were and found that the only thing bling about them is the outer casing. Yes they are more unusual, when did you last see a gold/silver cased Bic pen? They are prettier than your average biro but that is what they are at the end of the day. The regular bic pens are black and blue ink. The two pens that come with four colour inks are the regular ones of this kind too but in half gold and silver cases. They write fluidly as a Bic pen does but nothing out of the norm unless you like shiny things or you are giving them to someone who does.I cannot comment on value as at the time of writing this review there is no listed price for me to judge them by.

BIC 4 Colour Shine Cristal Gold and Silver pens are a good set of pens and though they have gold and silver covers the majority write with black or blue ink, except for the retractable pens which have four colours in each pen which are red, blue, green or black which makes them a handy packet of pens to have close at hand.I love the glitzy casing of the pens as they make them a nicer alternative to the normal pens. Each pen writes well, especially the single coloured pens as for me personally they are comfortable to hold which leads to neater writing.Happy to recommend the BIC 4 Colour shine pen set as they offer the popular colours plus they add a more glitzy alternative to the usual Bicpen.

I somehow expected that these pens would have gold and silver coloured ink, and that I would be able to use them to write Christmas gift tags. However I must have misread the product description, because what I got was a gold coloured barrel with a pen with blue ink, and a silver coloured barrel with a pen with black ink. Also there were two pens with colour changing barrels , red, blue, green and black. So - useful pens and I will enjoy using them, as I like Bic pens very much. But - overall not what I expected. Also, the silver barrel is a little slippery, not like the regular plastic barrel. So if you like a pen with a good non-slip grip, you might not like these pens all that much.

I was over the moon when I found this product. I have been using Bic biros for years and especially love the four colour pens but had no idea that you could get gold and silver versions of them!!! The pack itself comes exactly as in the picture so a lovely package if the item was to be used as a gift. The pack consists of 2 4 colour pens (one with a silver barrel and the other gold) and 2 standard Bic biros - the gold coloured one has blue ink and the silver coloured one has black. The standard quality from Bic makes these great pens and have taken pride of place on my desk. I also can't wait to start writing my Christmas cards with these pens as they are so Chrismassy!!

This is being marketed as a Christmas gift set.Basically you are getting four Bic biro pens. Two are the ever useful "four colour change pens". Anyone who has been to school over the past two decades or so (or has had children who have) will have seen these. They're great and are a design classic. You also get two "standard" bic biro's, with the Christmas twist of them being gold and silver cased. Obviously in colour, not the actual precious metals. They are not gold and silver ink (perhaps important to point out). They are the good old fashioned bic biro's we all know and love with a little bit of a "pimp my pen" vibe for a bit of fun.

Bic is my choice of pen at work - specifically I use the 4 colour pens a lot to mark books and plan lessons. This pack is a welcome addition to my stationery arsenal - bogstandard bics made to feel a bit special by metallic covering. The blue bic is gold and the black is silver. The 4 pens in one are also shiny and perform as I'd expect. I find bic really good to write with and the ink flows well. I always run out of red first! In this format any teacher would welcome these as a gift I'm sure - I really like them - I can't comment on value though as the rrp is not currently displayed but a nice little set for any Bic fan.

These are effectively the same as any normal BIC biros, but they look nicer than usual, and there is a range of colours from two of the pens (blue, black, green and red) as well as the black and blue ink pens (the gold and silver lid/handled pens, respectively) . Other than the pretty gold and silver, there isn`t much distinction between these and any other set of BIC pens. If you`re an avid user of such pens, at least this might mix it up a bit.

I love the Bic four colour pens as they are so useful and they are nice to write with. These ones have a nice shiny 'festive' silver body which is fun.All the pens in this set are either coloured shiny silver or gold, making them look very festive. I initially thought that they would have silver or gold ink but they don't. This is a shame but they are good quality standard Bic pens none-the-less.

The 4coloured pens and the gold pens which writes blue are beautiful. Looking very stylish and elegant. A great accessory for someone who likes a bit of glam in simple everyday equipment such as pens. Unfortunately the silver pen requires a sledgehammer approach to open the lid. I think that the lid fused to the pen as I am unable to take the lid off which is not ideal.

At first sight I'd assumed these would be coloured pens, perhaps gold and silver ink, for Christmas cards. Sadly that's just the metallic covering of the pens themselves. The set of four comprises one black, one blue and two multi-colour pens (black, blue, green and red). They are nice enough Bic pens, but I do think the Christmassy packaging is just a little deceiving.

2.10.2016

Essentially this is a set with four bic ordinary pens. Two of them are just the standard bic and the other two are their pen with four colour options. The only difference is the pens are shiny gold or silver on the casing. They are a nice quality pen which I do like to write with but not really special like the packaging might suggest.

Quirky and fun, this is a set of BIC pens with a new coloured barrel.Shiny silver and gold barrels make this humble biro look metallic and festive. You could even hang these as tree decorations! The ink colours remain traditional though, so no change there :)

7.10.2016

The colours of these pens are black, blue red and green. I thought it was a shame that the pack didn't contain a silver and gold pen as this was what I assumed it would have by looking at them. That said the ink flows freely and they write nicely.
