The Ryzen 7 5800x is very inefficient. The per core load watts is far higher than the 6 core 5600x and the 12 core 5900x. My 5800x reaches about 140 watts under full load in heavy AVX loads such as Cinebench 20 vs about 155 watts for the 12 core Ryzen 9 5900x (17.5 for 5800x watts per core vs 13 for 5900x). My micro ATX case is limited in size and thus cannot accommodate the biggest fans, but I did get a hefty low profile Noctua tower cooler in, which was good but the CPU ran at the limits. i.e. just about cooled it at 90 degrees at full 140w load with all the case fans configured properly for inflow and outflow. The Cyrorig C7 CU G was a non starter with a 125w TDP and diminutive size.

A very effective cooler. It also provides good cooling for the VRM's. On my Socket 1366 PC Northbridge temps are in the low 60's using a tower cooler but with the Shadow Rock 2 they are down to the high 40's. Ram clearance is fine and it will go into a fairly shallow case. You do need access to the back of the motherboard to fit the cooler. It is not a cheap purchase but I believe it is the lowest price for a really effective blow down cooler, You can pay a lot more for other blow down coolers and cheaper ones do not offer the same cooling performance. I have 3 of these, one on an AMD Ryzen 5 3600, one on the LGA1366 and one for a Socket 771 Zeon in a Socket 775 board.

Have always been impressed with Be Quiet coolers. This one was for a new Ryzen 5 mATX build. Unfortunately the box arrived unprotected with only a plastic bag for wrapping. The box itself had been damaged and it appeared re-sealed with sellotape. Not willing to take the risk of mounting the cooler after it's been delivered in poor shape. Sent back for a replacement. Hopefully it will be delivered in better shape this time.Update: Replacement cooler arrived and installed with relative ease. A noticeable improvement on the stock cooler. Runs nice and quiet on idle but not as quiet as I'd like when gaming. Still a good and solid cooler.

I have an AMD Ryzen 2700 in a LianLi HTPC case. This cooler is quite low and fits into the case with room to spare. Gaming temps are down from a peak of 59 with the stock AMD cooler to a peak of 39 with this - and the extra air has dropped the vrm's 10c as well. It is inaudible. Lovely.

Keeps a 3770k overclocked at 4.4Ghz below thermal throttling points on artificial loads in a small form factor PC. Make sure to give the fan enough room to properly pull air through though!

Overall great cooling but the fact that it blocks my ram... I have to take it off to change my ram and it’s pain in the a. Surely it provides some cooling to the ram but not necessary...

Extremely quiet even at full speed, and I get much lower temps compared to the stock Intel cooler I was using
