We are very disappointed with these panniers. Because Basil's previous ones (made of red plastic) quickly became misshapen and lost their color, we decided to substitute them for these supposedly more stable (and expensive) bags. Conclusion: The black color is no longer black after about 3 months, but brown. The fixings below to fix the pockets are insufficient, the pockets slip and get into the spokes. Result: After a short time damage to the corners of the bags and torn Velcro strips. To the walls: The back walls are reasonably stable. The outer wall, however, does not stay as nice straight as on the sales photo, but bulges inward and everything is shapeless and every time it needs two hands when loading the bags,

For some time I use the Kavan XL bag. The storage space is very good and thanks to straight walls for excellent shopping. A pity, however, are several preventable drawbacks: the holders for the luggage rack are impossible. There are two connections between the two pockets. The straps are all 4 exactly underneath. Not visible, only usable with distortions. The Velcro straps for fixing in the lower pocket area were already adopted at the first use. This and the impractical tapes caused a slipping of the bags during the first use. They spiked into the spokes, the edges were damaged on both sides. Also a pity, but at least already before the purchase known: There are separate storage rooms.
